I used them for inspections for our 2 cars. Fred was AWESOME, friendly and did not try to up-sell me or say there were other things wrong with my car. While in the waiting room I talked to another customer who said her father has used Fred for 20 years. She lives about 40 miles from his repair shop and she always uses Fred even though he is far from her house. This made it clear I had made the right choice in using him. Honest, reasonable prices and thanks you for your business. He is definitely my new mechanic!!! You cant go wrong using him if you leave near downtown Houston or not.

Fred is the real deal. Im so glad I found this guy, after bad experiences with two other Montrose mechanics. He doesnt have a fancy shop or cute logo. Hes just there to fix cars. His prices always seem reasonable. No one likes to pay for repairs, but when his bill is presented, it always seems like what it should cost, not like other places where it seems slightly inflated, or they cant explain the charge and seem evasive. He does the work quick, calls you right away, and hes open Saturdays. Hes just an honest, hard-working mechanic. He also does inspections.

This place has very fair prices and are honest. I had an issue with my car where I needed to replace my seat (other garages had told me the same). After agreeing for them to get me a new seat, they actually gave a shot at fixing it themselves and were successful. They could had charged me for a new seat but didnt. I will definitely come back and recommend them.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The check engine light went on and the engine of my car was misfiring; I was worried it might be the end of my old Ford Escape. Fred diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a day, for much less than I was expecting to pay! He is a skilled and honest mechanic. Well worth the drive, will definitely be going back!

Had walked in on a week day morning before they opened and Fred took my car and called within 2 hrs to give the breakdown on what the issue was on my Mazda Tribute...Honest upfront pricing and my ride was ready the next morning. If you dont think an "honest mechanic" exists, then you havent met Fred. He has been our mechanic for the past 10 years and has always given us an exceptional price for the excellent work he does. I recommend him to any family member or friend that needs work done on their car. Fred is the man, we love him!

My wife and I have been using Fred for 11 years and I would echo what the other two reviews have said here. Fred does excellent work at a reasonable price. Always on time; always trustworthy; always a cheerful greeting. If you are not a Midtown resident, then drive to get there!
