I believe Moving By Design hires honest, kind and helpful people to work for them based on my experience. I got a flat tire in the middle of rush hour on the I-10. Cars were speeding by like crazy but James decided to pull over and help me. He had just gotten off work and Im sure hed rather be well on his way home but he was kind enough to offer his help. He had all the gear to change a tire with him and put my spare tire on in record time. I dont know many people here in Houston so I really didnt have anyone to call besides my insurance and who knows how long I would be there waiting for them to send someone. I am so grateful for his help! Thank you!!

I was quoted one price and charged higher (I was conveniently told about the increase a day before the move was supposed to happen and could not find an alternative moving company). On the day of the move they showed up 45 minutes late without notifying me (I had to call them!!) and of course they start charging once they get on the road, so Im stuck with paying for almost a full hour because they were late. The movers did their job well so I have no complaints about them, it just sucks that the business model is terrible. Every moving company that I have ever used before starts charging when the movers arrive and charge a small fee for travel.

Recommended that I have two guys come out to help with a move in as freelancers, since the business has been slow. Guys tried to charge extra at the end of the move since they arrived early. Several pieces of furniture got broken in the move and cannot be repaired. Be careful. Seemed like a good deal until the end. Company will likely deny responsibility since the workers were working independently. Also charged us for the drive there and back, was not told up front.

One of the four men walked off the job about two hours in. One of the movers made crude and sometimes racist jokes and was constantly making sarcastic comments about my furniture. They used the cushions from my white couch as void fill in the truck resulting in nearly avery piece needing to be cleaned. EDIT: the owner reached out, prior to my posting the initial review and worked with us to make things right. I am pleased with his commitment to his customers.

This business is great! Prices are fair and the team worked very hard and very quick. Enrique was informative and extremely helpful with saving time. They moved us down three flights and up one flight of stairs super fast and extra careful with our things. Definitely worth the price and will use them again. I recommend team Francisco, Jordan, and Enrique.

Very satisfied with this moving company, and I recommend them if you are looking for a company that is prompt, professional, and showed up on-time ready to work. Reasonable rates, they sent 3 workers and truck to move 3 bedroom home. Very polite staff who wanted to be sure we were satisfied. Moving is a pain, this company made it painless. Thanks!
