Got an estimate and decided to go ahead with the plan during that meeting. Two weeks later, Im not even on the schedule. I only get "Ill give you a call when I have a day." No notice that they couldnt do it or anything. Two weeks after that I paid someone else to do it who was cheaper, scheduled me immediately, and actually called to confirm before starting work. A few days after that I guess he sent someone to my house and they saw that the work was completed by a professional. First he wanted me to still pay him for labor and the materials because he mustve hired some people to go get supplies and drive to my house. After realizing that asking for materials that I never received would be completely asinine ($330 on a $1100 quoted job that takes 2 hours and 2 guys), he still wants me to pay him $120 for labor that I received nothing for. He is threatening to put a mechanics lien on my house if I dont pay him $120 for two people to drive to my house (seriously). So I cant even be sure hes not just trying to scam me as I received absolutely nothing from him. No contract was signed and I was given a vague response on the schedule, so sorry you were too slow to earn my business. Most contractors start the very next day they get the contract or at least give you a date.

Great company. Doug is awesome and he lives up to his word. They installed gutters a year before they installed my roof. I wish all my vendors were like this company. Doug visited my home a couple of times to review the project and he gave excellent advice about the install. His crew did a complete reroof in just over 3 days - amazing!! His crew took care of all the little details and did not cut any corners. They identified issues that would impact the long term performance of the roof. I had requested a unique request of an install of baffle vents and Doug was on the roof being sure it got done right. We made changes to the roof mid project and it went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough good about Doug and his crews. They are professional, timely and focus on quality. The job sight was always left clean and safe. Doug thank you for being a high quality vendor that cares about your product and the client. Priced fair - I dont think about it given the service experience and the end result.

In regards to the review of damaged windows and the lack of Far West Roofings willingness to repair the problem: I am the glazing contractor hired by Far West to Repair the reviewers window. The window was in no way damaged by the roofing crew. The window was broken long before the roof was replaced as the window was broken on the inside pane above the kitchen sink and the center spacer bar had rusted substantially (Typically the case after a few years of being broken). I notified Doug at Far West on my opinion of the glass and he went ahead and had us replace the glass for his customer. The glass was ordered and processed by our company prior to the date of this review being written. I believe the review is completely misleading and inaccurate.

Seemed to do an ok job on the roof, but I have made 5 or 6 phone calls to Doug and Olan about damage to two different windows, they both have refused to come to my house to look at the damage. I have called consumer pertection and seems I will be filing a case with Far West Roofing in small claims courts, since they refused to come back and look at the damage for themselves. That makes me feel very uneasy about the job they did with the roofing , or with any warranty. June 07, 2011

Me and my wife had just bought a new home and really need a new roof before the winter hit we tried call many other roofers, but because we are so young and our roof is small not vary many of them would give us a bid. As soon as we call Far West they gave us a bid and the work that they did was great. The roofers that they have really do care about the work that they do and they are willing to stand behind it. I had them do my rental home 2 hours from Salt Lake. They went out of their way to get it done quickly and efficiently. Their quality and service is excellent. Its not like I can compare the job roofers do every week. Far west made it clear to me that the job would be about 2 months out. Some issues with weather when they started working. Some issues working with my house siding. Im still waiting to test the results with a serious storm. But they got the job done and the neighbors are complimenting my roof. they also gave me a no BS estimate which was about 1k cheaper than the next guy.

While they were repairing my roof, they even noticed a piece on siding that was loose and secured it for me. Since the repair, Ive had a lot of wind without any issues. However, after talking with some of the people who had them do work for them, I went ahead. Wow. what a great company! They did a fast and very good job. I am impressed. Doug Cooper is so professional! As Doug was talking to me about the options that I had on replacing a roof he wasnt pluging the options that were the most expensive but the ones that would work best for my situation. He was generous with his knowledge and I felt comfortable with him. I would recommend him to anyone looking to replace or repair their roof!
