If I could give a negative star rating I would. This is beyond the most difficult post office I have ever dealt with. The Draper location is very busy, however no matter how busy their location is or how long the line is they only have 1 or 2 people working at the counter at all times. I manage a local apartment community and am constantly getting mail returned to my office that was delivered to the wrong apartment even though the correct apartment number was written on the letter or package. Packages are being delivered to the wrong homes constantly....or what is worse the residents are expecting packages that were suppose to be delivered that didnt get delivered and they are forced to come to the leasing office or drive to the post office in search of their package. The most frustrating part of the whole process is that our apartment community is bringing in HUNDREDS of new people to the Draper community and it is infuriating that they treat them horribly. Our new residents are forced to drive to the post office to pick up the mail key instead of letting our office hand them out which would save the new residents of our community time and effort. In addition, when someone moves out and a new person moves in they are going to charge either the new resident or our business $15 for a new lock and keys set - they are charging this fee regardless if the original mail keys were turned back into to their location. They never answer the phone I literally had to call them over 10 times this morning before anyone answered. The people that work there have no consideration, dont see the bigger picture and have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We have another community that opened a few years ago that did not have the same experience as what we are being challenged with, which leads me to believe that this has something to do with how the current staff is being trained and managed. In my line of work, which I would consider to be, serving the residents of Draper city and newcomers to the city I always think of how we can be welcoming and provide these new residents with great customer service and making their transition to Draper as easy as possible. THIS IS NOT THEIR MINDSET. VERY SAD!

On 11/28, my husband went into this post office to find that the gate was being closed prematurely. The clock said he still had 22 minutes until the published closing time. He confirmed with the man shutting the gate that closing time was, in fact, 6:00. However, the worker said that theyd been slow, so he was closing down early. My husband asked if he could take 2 minutes to mail the package he had with him and the man said no. The package was something on a tight time schedule and although he was able to ship it from the Sandy location, it was inconvenient for him to drive across town and incredibly unprofessional of the USPS employee. Its bad enough that it happened at all, but its despicable that he did it during the busiest season of the year. Well never return to this location and will tell everyone we know about what happened.

If youre new to the area, I recommend planning ahead, and using FedEx. If you live here, then you already know the incompetence, and dishonesty that is the Draper Postal Service. Where to start... Their hours - 8:30AM - 5:30PM. Since thats exactly when I work, I will never be able to pick up any packages that they fail to deliver. Which is ALL packages that require a signature. It doesnt matter how many times a re-delivery is scheduled for a Saturday, nobody every shows. Nor does it matter how many signed pink slips are left in the mailbox. They just give you the finger. On the off chance that you do make it to their office inside business hours, their staff is verbally hostile, and rude. But only after you get through the 45+ minute lines. Take your business elsewhere, all these reviews are here for a reason.

I wish I could write zero stars. Their manager is the rudest person I have EVER encountered in "customer service". I got off work 4:30PM and I headed straight there to send a package to Brazil. I got to the register about 5:21-ish PM. I ha to fill out some different forms and their system was taking forever to recognize the city I was sending to. It got to about 5:40PM. Their manager was like, you cant just be coming here at any time you want like that. I arrived there 45 minutes before they closed and 10 minutes at the register. I had my box all taped up and ready to go with the address in hand. Her nastiness gave the the poorest taste of the post office ever! They made Wal Mart Customer service look good. I work in customer service and I would NEVER get away talking to a customer like that!!!

The people at this post office are very nice, however I have had so many issues since moving into our home and trying to receive mail. When we purchased our home the mailbox only came with one key that worked about 10% of the time. I was told to come in to pay a fee, put the mail on hold, have the lock changed and it would be done within 3 days. After 9 days I called the post office and was told that they dropped the ball and would be doing it the next day. Day 10 I went to the post office to pickup keys and was told that every route was done except my house. Day 11 my mailbox lock was changed, I checked my mail (which was never put on hold) and half of it belonged to other people in my neighborhood.

Zero stars. They have the worst hours, so its nearly impossible to find the office open. Closes at 1pm on saturday. Closed sunday. 8:30 to 5:30 M-F. Long lines every time you go inside. Box supplies are almost always dwindled to nothing. They dont deliver packages that require signatures. Instead, they leave a notice in your mailbox and force you to race one night to their office before they close, wait 20 minutes in line just to pick up a package that should have been delivered to my front door!!! Seriously, why is doing the right thing so difficult for these people???

I have been in this post office a number of times, and they are typically pretty busy (just the nature of the beast). But theyre ALWAYS nice. Today I worked with a Dolores, who was honestly the highlight of my entire day. She was polite, and kind. She asked me about my day, and kindly helped me send off 55 packages with NO FUSS!! 55 packages is a LOT of work! Kindness and patience gets you a long way. Dolores was an absolute ray on sunshine today. I know these people do everything they can for their customers - and i appreciate it. Thank you!

Like another reviewer said, there is one particular carrier that loses my mail and mis-delivers my neighbors mail to me. This has been going on for years!!!! Mail that says DO NOT BEND gets bent. Important mail never reaches me.... I had a PO Box for a while but gave up; its too much hassle. - Up and down my street you will see mailboxes marked in red with messages like "CAREFUL, ADDRESS IS 1234 Street" - Aaaarg just today I learned I have not received yet another important letter that was mailed 2 weeks ago.
