The people here are extremely rude.. I went yesterday to pick up my husbands truck and a walked in and the woman sitting inside said how are you paying, what vehicle? Didnt say HI how are you so on and so forth. Then I went to inspect the vehicle and the woman says we dont have flashlights everyone is gone. (went towards the close of day) I used the flashlight on my phone and I noticed off the bat, failing paint on the cab, a dent in the bed, and on the other side ofbthe vehicle where they were supposed to remove dents and make it look new, there was a huge indent. I had gone back inside as this lady wasnt very helpful (guess she was a payment taker) and a guy in a beard started barking at me. Saying we did what your husband told us too which was body work on the right side and painting. When I was trying to get clarification as to which side they classified as the right. This bearded man startes getting hostile. Then he said " you better have your husband come back so we arent dealing with a 2headed dragon.!" A painter came outside and also noted the failing paint by the way. Today my husband goes to this establishment and this bearded man tells my husband that I was rude. This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced, and my friend who was with me said the opposite that this bearded man was extremely rude. And then to tell a paying customer that their spouse is rude, even if it were the case which it isnt you dont talk to people like that or say those things. As for the work. Still disappointed and will be going back tomorrow.

Great experience! Wow! Great quality work at a good price! I highly recommend Justin Mann (Owner) and Maaco in Layton, Utah. Justin Mann is a good, honest and friendly man. My 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab (black truck) looks great now! The work was completed November 11, 2016. The finished paint job Maaco did was very high quality and about 3 levels better looking than I thought it would be because my truck was in rough shape. BEFORE: My truck had some rust, faded and peeling paint, some dents, was missing a side panel strip, no bedliner and the tailgate did not work well. AFTER: My trucks new black paint looks very "shiny and new," no rust, no dents, side panel strip replaced, painted and looks great, the kevlar bedliner is high quality and looks and feels great; and the tailgate works well and looks much better. Great quality work! Good prices! Very good experience. Justin Mann kept in great contact with me by many telephone call and emails, explained in detail every part of the process before and along the way, and gave me the options and best prices on different items and services. Thank you Justin Mann for great quality work, good prices and a very good experience! I have referred people to Justin and his Maaco shop and I will continue to refer people to him in the future. I highly recommend Justin Mann and Maaco in Layton, Utah!

I was nerveous to take my car to Maaco after reading the reviews on this site but after the warm experience Ill go there time and time again. I took my 1992 Land Cruiser to them for an estimate and the guy looked over the car and gave me a reasonable estimate for $995. He told me that he doesnt want his shop to have a bad reputation for just painting over rust. I left my car, and stopped by a few times while in the shop, and the guys were real friendly and showed me what they were doing and I was impressed to see that they were stipping it all down first before painting it. Then it came time for it to go into paint and the guy who was painting it came to me and suggested a darker color than i had decided on because it would match my door jambs better. It has been a few weeks since I picked it up and I love it! Theres no bublling or chipping. So while your looking thru these reviews remember most of the time if someone is going to post anything here its going to be so they can vent because there angry. I desided to write a review because I was almost discouraged from taking my car here just based on bad review. I am glad I went to see for myself and saved a whole lot of money. So if you are having second thoughts of taking your car to maaco you should really try for yourself, and see what you think for yourself.

What a joke . First thing they asked , Was what I wanted done ? . Really ? I wanted a first rate paint job on a 67 cougar . "HERES YOUR SIGN " What I got was far from that .First off I went to pick it up the first time and it looked , like nothing short of crappy ,RUNS AND DINGS NOT FIXED. So I was told by the owner that it would be done right . In one of the conversations , I was told "These are not top of the line paint jobs .... Really ? Thats not what the CEO thinks their shops do . Anyway I returned again to pick up the car AFTER PAYING MORE TO GET IT DONE THE RIGHT WAY !!!! . Still a lot of mistakes . Maybe I look at it wrong but if you pay for a paint job ,to me that means all the DINGS, dents, and such should be fixed !!! Not " What do you want to pay for ? " I WASNT ABOUT TO HAVE THEM TRY AGAIN Then just to see what they would do on a second car . I went in for a bid about eight months later , the kid that helped us the first time gave me a bid . I had to laugh all the way out ... The bid was so high I could go to any body shop in town and get twice the paint job at half the price .... Guess I pissed him off the first go round !!! Like one of the other reviews mentioned , The owner tries to give you a line on BS , like your a grade school kid ...... dont waste your time ..... OH NO DONT GO TO MAACO

I dont recommend these guys at all. took them over a month to even touch my car, their main focus is insurance claims. I am at college and am many hours away so its hard to travel that far any time I want. I called and asked when it would be done and they said 3 days from then. so I drove down and when I went to pick it up, they said it was still a couple weeks from being done. the car looked good, but terrible service. a few months down the road, I see the paint bubble and crack, and I paid for the second best paint, and I go back and the owner was trying to say these things werent covered under the warranty and wanted to charge me to fix it. now Im a mechanic and in no way a moron, and he first was trying to say a paint chip on a level surface on the quarter panel was from someone hitting my car with their door, yet the vertical part where a door could hit was totally fine. poor poor service Mr owner. very friendly to you till you sign to give them money...
