After sitting for 5 hours my hair was nowhere near what I wanted. I went to ask the receptionist, Megan I believe was her name she has blonde hair, for the manager and she could not give me an answer as to when the manager would be there. She actually got an attitude with me and told me to sit down. She told me there was nothing she could do. I will never be back. $140.00 that was a total waste of my money and my time. RESPONSE TO OWNER (Ive had my hair from brown to blonde multiple times in one visit, I was never told I would have to come back for another visit or 2. So, I was NEVER advised of my options!!! If I was, I would have got up and left to some where who would do what I want, which I have never had a problem with! Yes, I did have pretty damaged hair from an appointment because they were students and didnt know how to properly change my hair! ((Paul Mitchell) and Ill never be back there again!) Customers are always right, but not in this situation. TERRIBLE management. And I guess youre not counting the time your stylist was late for my appointment, and the time I stayed after I wasnt pleased with my hair.

Emily is out of this world with her approach to hair! I love that she loves doing hair and appreciate so much the time she takes to educate me on my own hair and what would work the best to get the results I want. Shes a perfectionist when it comes to hair. My daughter resently moved to Provo and continues to drive to Layton for Emily to do her hair. I love Olde Mill Salon...Ive been going to Olde Mill since it opened and have referred countless people there over the years, all of which still frequent the salon. I have had my hair done by most of the stylists there and they are all great! I love Lynn, she always goes the extra mile when I come in or my family to help us in whatever way we need. This is a salon that really cares and shows through their actions and attitudes that they love their clients and love doing their best to make the experience you have there worth coming back for...and its worth it every time! Thank you Emily, Lynn and everyone at Olde Mill, you all stand head and shoulders above the rest!

If I could give this salon 10 stars I would! I have been to this salon twice now and can honestly say this is one of the best salons I have ever been too. I normally dont do reviews but after reading the last two negative reviews I thought I should say something. This salon can truly do any service you need. They have two African American stylist that I love to watch do hair. (I have even been there when a Jazz Wife is getting their hair done) I have seen nails, hair extensions, lash extensions and absolutely gorgeous color be done right in front of me. The entire staff is always friendly and the girls/boy are always laughing and making the atmosphere fun. I would trust my hair with any of the stylist at Olde Mill Salon and planning on seeing all of you in 6 weeks when I get my hair done again.

I have been a client of the Olde Mill for a few years. Tonight, I went in for my scheduled appointment and asked Lynn to do something different with my hair. I told her that Id studied pictures, etc., but was not sure what to do. I left everything in her very capable hands. She colored and cut my hair so wonderfully that I actually posted my first "selfie" on Facebook! Thank you! I would recommend them to anyone! So happy! (While there, noticed her working with other stylists on color and cut suggestions (while I was processing!). I had to ask her to turn my chair a few times to see how their cuts worked out. Everyone did a great job.)

I absolutely love this salon! I have been to several different salons in Utah, this one is by far the best. Ashley does an amazing ombre, is great with color and cut, and is super fun to talk to! My appointment fell through, but they worked it out and got me in with someone else so they didnt have to just let me leave with nothing! I was very impressed with the way they didnt want to lose my business, made sure I was taken care of, and I walked away with the most wonderful cut and color of my life! I will definitely be going back often and recommend this salon to anyone who is still looking for the best salon in Utah. This is the one.

I moved to the area about a year ago and I was beginning to worry that I hadnt found a salon in the area that was professional, affordable, and experienced. The staff members at the Old Mill were very friendly - which seems to be a rarity with hairdressers in the area. The stylist I went to was knowledgeable and my hair cut was exactly what I wanted. One of the unique and nicest things about the Old Mill is that they sell products there - it was nice to get info on shampoos, gel, etc. from people that use them on a daily basis. But the best part was that for the quality, it wasnt super expensive.

Just wanted a simple balayage and they totally destroyed my hair. My hair was a golden blonde with natural highlights and they bleached all of it and gave me a dark brown shadow root that looked almost red, i said to make it look as natural as possible and the bleached part looked slightly green. then they said they would fix it for free, so i stayed another 4 hours for them to do almost the exact same thing. I am currently getting my hair fixed at a different salon and my hair is FRIED. Also, never got my money back and it was $150.

I have been going to Lynn to get my hair cut since I was 4yrs old, 15 years ago. She has always done such an amazing job. And even though I havent had the rest of her staff do my hair, I have been in her store so much that I know everyone at Olde Mill Salon and they are very friendly, and great at their job(s). And the product I get for my hair is cheaper there than I can get it anywhere else! If you need a quality haircut, and/or trying a new look or simply just looking for quality product I highly suggest going to Olde Mill!

Very nice environment, was impressed with how professional and classy it looked. Everyone was very nice and helpful, I had separate conversations with three different employees. My hair had been botched by my old stylist so I was tentative to go to a new one for fear that it would only make it worse. Immediately I was put at ease by the competent staff who seemed to know exactly what I wanted. my hair looks great now! Definitely would recommend! However, the pricing was a little steep in my opinion for the processing they did.

This salon has a great atmosphere, and provides service you cant find at many other Salons in Layton. Theyre stay on top of all the latest trends and can deliver pretty much anything. Damia is my stylist and she is amazing! Shes professional and is always pushing herself to new levels. She takes great pride in what she does and always makes sure her customers leave her chair completely happy and satisfied. Oh and shes FAST. I hate sitting all day for a sew in. She does my extensions in an hour n a half.
