DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT MORE STRESS WHEN YOU MOVE!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE PEOPLE WHO WILL RIP YOU OFF AND NOT CARE! Would give 0 Stars if possible. I have a fused spine and my roommate has nerve damage from a TBI after being hit by a car, so together we’re pretty useless when it comes to lifting heavy objects. We recently moved from an apartment into her sister’s old house, and because we had to work with her sister’s schedule, we had a two day window for moving, a Saturday and Sunday. We had to be completely out of our apartment by Sunday afternoon or we were breaking our lease. I called All My Sons a week in advance and asked for a Saturday slot. The guy on the phone talked me into doing it on a Sunday so that they would have more time and be able to show up bright and early. I figured that would be fine, but told him that we were really pressed on time. He assured me that wouldn’t be an issue. He said that in order to reserve our spot, I had to pay a down-payment for the first hour, $119, which I did at the time. I spent the rest of the week getting ready to move. The NIGHT BEFORE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP, AT 6:32 PM, AFTER THEY WERE CLOSED I got a call from them. I missed the call because I couldn’t get to my phone in time because I was busy loading boxes, so they left a message stating that they had gone into overtime and needed to reschedule. I IMMEDIATELY called back, not 30 seconds after I missed the call, before I had even listened to the message because I figured they were just verifying the time for the next day, and no one answered the phone. 30 seconds after they’d called to begin with. It just rang and rang and rang. I then listened to the voicemail and started to panic. I called the customer service number and got no response, and I left an email and got no response. Online it said they opened at 9 am, which was when they were scheduled to show up on Sunday, so the next morning I started calling every minute starting at 8:50 until someone finally answered, at 9:07. I explained the situation, told him that I had no wiggle room as far as dates went, and said that I needed to be moved that day period, which I had told them on the phone to begin with. The guy said that he wasn’t the one who had called me and that he needed to speak to his boss. He said he’d call me right back. 45 minutes later I still haven’t gotten a return call, so my roommate and I start calling. 15 minutes after that he finally picked up again and said that sorry, there’s nothing they can do. The men are at their overtime hours, and they can’t send anyone else out. It doesn’t matter that I pre-paid. It doesn’t matter that I was on the schedule. It doesn’t matter that they called 14 hours before they were supposed to show up and are screwing me over because they’ve left me NO chance to make other arrangements. Tough luck. Too bad. But have a nice day. We ended up calling 2 Men and a Lady. They said that they normally don’t work Sundays but had gotten about 5 other calls that day from people who had been cancelled on by the same company. Also, it took several days for me to get my $119 deposit back, and they didn’t offer to pay for our new movers or do any sort of compensation whatsoever. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM PEOPLE!!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!

I chose All My Sons because they gave me the lowest moving quote. That was a mistake and I will not use them again. Two of the packers/movers were excellent, the others were very slow and either untrained or just lazy. Our one day pack/next day load request turned into a FIVE DAY ordeal! They put some holes in the walls moving furniture and didnt tell me. Now that Im moved and unpacking Im finding many broken items that wouldnt be broken if care had been taken. Two large glass bowls were on the bottom of a box with pots and pans on top. Yes, the bowls are broken. They used our babys bassinet as a container for various items. Some fragile items were packed with no packing paper at all. Yes, broken now. Some framed pictures were just put in a box lying down stacked. Even I know better than to do that! A couple of workers would stand around or be on their cell phones until the crew leader caught them and told them to get to work. I must say that most of the employees were nice, they just didnt know what they were doing. We two trucks filled with all of our things but All My Sons only sent TWO employees to unload and move our things into our new place. Why?!! With two more workers it would have gone so much faster. After six hours my husband and I both started unloading the truck too just to get it over with. It still took 12 hours! The only piece of furniture they had to set up was our bed. My husband showed them how to do it but they decided their way would be quicker. When they realized theyd left out the two side rails instead of undoing and starting over they told us it was ready and they left. When we discovered it we had to take the whole thing apart and redo it. I can hardly blame them, though, by that time theyd been unloading the trucks for 10 hours and it was late. We also received a call from the people now in our old place letting us know that the bathroom vanity drawers were still filled with our things. Theyll have to mail them to us. (The guy who was packing that room is the one who was on his cell phone a lot). I dont blame the workers (except for not telling us about the holes they made in the walls). The company should have sent a bigger crew. I would have paid more money to avoid the stress of having to rearrange my whole schedule for five days to accomodate them needing to come back over and over. The time Id planned to be with family saying goodbye before I moved I had to spend at home with the movers. One more thing, if you call All My Sons and theyre closed for the day you get a recording that says your call is important to them and hold on someone will answer in just a minute. After holding for over an hour I hung up. The next day one of their employees told me they were actually closed then. Arrgg!

Chad and Dave did an awesome job! Worked really fast and took care of my things really well! When I made the reservation the customer service guy said for my three bedroom apartment that is located on the third floor would only take three hours. I knew it wouldnt, so I felt a little bad for Chad and Dave due to the nature of the difficult job. They were really nice and worked hard. I was grateful for their help. **Here are my complaints** Partially through they needed a socket wrench set, which I did not have. But I feel like the company should supply their workers with. Anyway, I had to drive one of the men to Lowes so he could purchase one himself. That took at least thirty minutes out of my moving time. Then the same worker wanted to chit chat a bunch and thats good and all, but if Im paying hourly for this move I expect working to be done not social hour. The same worker which is Dave I believe also answered his phone a lot and I know that a few of those calls were personal calls from his wife. They did want to take a few smoke breaks, which is fine and I told them they should go have lunch st some point which they needed as well. Also another part of the job I found very unethical was when Dave saw that I had blueberry ales in my fridge he asked if they were good, and I stated that if he wasnt on work time Id offer him one. He said it wouldve been fine to have one then, but hed wait until the job was done. After we got moved to the new place, I actually called in family to help love stuff in because the cost of hourly was going through the roof. I feel like the customer service guy told me 3 hours just so he can charge me overtime. And even though it was an accident and the worker Chad felt really bad about it, he was getting a box full of fragile items from the top (dont know why that was on the top) and the box fell and broke a few things one of which was an heirloom that was a birthday gift from my mother that it irreplaceable. When I told the insurance would only cover 60 cents a pound for any broken items, I didnt even bother calling about it. Chad felt really bad about it and it was his sixth day on the job and it was an accident, but it still upset me. I told the men that they didnt need to worry about not actually completing the job because my family including my kids started to help unload the truck. Felt like the customer service that set up the reservation should have sent a third person or quoted me differently. Also on my first call they quoted me $119 an hour and then changed the quote to $129. I would not recommend this company.
