horrible experience with this location and I will never be returning. I went in to get a basic foundation and NO ONE was around to help me select a product that would work with my skin and color. I finally took two products up to the front to ask if the cashier could make any suggestions and she said she cant but asked someone to come up front to help me. Like an idiot I stood up at the front waiting for a half hour for this person to come help me. After debating waiting any longer the cashier called over her headset to another lady who was in the middle of helping another customer to come assist me really quick. as she came to help me she gave me an attitude as if I was interrupting her, as we are walking over to the aisle of product she is on the headset arguing to have someone else come assist me.. (thanks for making me feel like I matter) She decides to open the bottles to test them on my face and suggested one and at that point I was so ready to get out of there I forgot to look in the mirror before buying the foundation. (my mistake) When I finally got out to my car I flipped down my sun visor to look at my face and the foundation was maybe 4 shades too dark! seriously 1 hour after looking for a BASIC foundation I left looking like I had an orange smudge on my face. I left feeling worthless, not important and NOT beautiful. Which going into a beauty store you should feel the opposite. THIS STORE SUCKS.

I have been shopping at the Sandy location since they opened and have always had a satisfactory experience until I went into the store in December the week before Christmas and tried to buy some stocking stuffers for my employees ( 8 of them) on the 5 for $5 deal they had going on at the time. When It was my turn to check out the STORE MANAGER ( older short haired blonde) started to scan my items and asked if I had a membership card. I handed it to her and after she scanned it in she asked me if I had a Tax Exempt card for my purchase. I then said " No, why? ". She then had the nerve to tell me that I was buying to much and that I was preventing other customers from buying what I was buying! Excuse me but I didnt see any sign that said " You can only buy a few, so other customers can have an opportunity to buy the same thing ". If there is a buying limit it should be posted! The manager humiliated me in front of other customers . I then took my $400 in cash and went to Sephora and spent it there. Thanks for the memories Ulta, I am sure you will miss me as a customer!

Ive gone to this location before, and was talked into buying eyebrow product that was WAY too dark for me (I went in saying what I wanted, they told me I was wrong and to get a shade darker... it looked awful). I went again today and the staff was rude and not helpful at all. I asked a question, and the girl didnt know what to say so she just laughed and walked back to where the rest of the employees were hanging out and talking. She was the complete opposite of helpful, and when another employee asked if I needed any help, she was rude and snarky. I showed her what I was planning on purchasing and she laughed, looked at my face (bare of any makeup) and said "..... haha.. you know that that takes some.. skill?" Then laughed with her coworker. This location is a complete disappointment every time Ive gone, Id recommend Sephora to anyone planning on going there. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for beauty supplies.

We waited in line for an absurd amount of time with a fussy baby who had messy pants, but thought it would be our turn any time and tried to stick it out. Despite the line being huge no one came to back up the one girl checking people out. So finally we decided I would take the baby back and change her while my husband would continue to wait in line. Finally someone else was called up to help. The woman who came to help first said that a coupon we received was not valid on the item we were purchasing despite that limitation not being stated anywhere on the coupon. Then she proceeded to be super bitchy and snotty to my very kind and always cordial husband for no reason and completely unapologetic for our ridiculous wait time. As a customer i dont like to feel like my presence at a retail business is annoying employees. Any other location besides this one from now on. Horrible customer service.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! The first time I went there was definitely my last! I shopped at the Ulta store in Tuscon, AZ and was always treated with respect and friendly service. I thought all Ulta stores hired great employees. So imagine my surprise when I entered this store and NOBODY bothered to even greet me, noone helped me look for a product I was searching for, I walked around for about 30mins and when I finally decided to ask again for help, the associate literally looked at me like I was disgusting. Yes, I'm not Caucasian, no, I'm not filthy poor garbage. I obviously went into the store to make some purchases, I will gladly spend $29.00 on a 4 palette case of eyeshadow by Clinique and am happy shopping at Macys the street at South Towne Mall for my make-up products. Thanks Ulta, for showing me how ignorant pretty Utahns can be. Sad.

I never want to shop at Ulta Beauty Stores again.I dont know a ton about makeup, skin etc. I figured when I walked into a beauty store there would be someone to greet me, ask if I need help, and be at least somewhat knowledgeable about the products they sell. . Ya know the usual basics of Customer Service. I shop at the West Valley and Sandy Locations but in the last couple years that Ive shopped there (not knowing about any other beauty stores) I have never once been greeted when I walk in. (Ok i can forgive that) but when I need help and I cant find a single employee to help me, its so frustrating. I need to find another place to shop because I will never shop at any Ulta Beauty store again. MAJOR FAIL!!!

Took my 9 year old boy for a cut and color. Even if it was a two step process I was charged 130.00 for a childs haircut and color.. Ha Ha on me. I have never paid this much for a haircut and color on a child. Maybe understandable for a girls long hair but only the top of the hair was colored. This was a very negative experience and being a platinum member its like a slap in the face. Although im usually a low key person this topped my tolerance level. I can see that the Sandy location gets bad reviews. Should have been warned.

I purchased an eyeliner from smashbox-always sharp waterproof that broke after about 3 uses. I went back to Ulta thinking I could exchange it for a different kind especially since this one is known for breaking. Apparently because I didnt have the box it came in anymore they couldnt do that. After discussing it with the manager she let me pick another brand. So the moral is...keep the packaging if you purchase this product, or dont purchase it at all. And thank you manager for helping me out!
