HANDS DOWN! The WORST SALON I have ever been in. I knew as soon as I walked in the first time I should have left after having my consult with the owner. She referred me to her associate to color my hair and It was probably the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with hair. She had to highlight my hair 4 times which I am still paying for as it is still breaking off. I should have known when she dropped the comb on the floor, picked it up and used it on my head I was in for a RUDE AWAKENING..... not only that, she gave me a BRAZILIAN that didnt take, promised to fix it. So they tell me I have two weeks to get it fixed which of course anyone who does hair knows you dont do another Brazilian for atleast 6 weeks if not more. I called the Salon to ask again before coming in for my appointment and then they said, I should wait until I get back from my vacation. I come back, try to rebook it, then they shun me from the salon and dont back up with they said. Now I know there are three sides to every story. There side, my side and the truth. But honestly, I came in with good intentions, saw the owner, she recommended her associate, I see her and it went to hell in a hay basket from there. I have never had to have someone highlight my hair four times. She got it right the first time before the Brazilian, then I made sure to question her which one I should get to make sure it doesnt affect the highlights, and what happens, she does the Brazilian and the color of the highlights change it to an orange tinge. I was horrified. What was worst, the owner thought it looked good. To me, it was awful. To my family and frineds, it was awful. I was so embarrassed for this big womans efforts (I cant remember her name) that I tried to compensate her by giving her a bigger tip as she took all day long both times I was in to try and fix my hair. This Salons service was not only the WORST I have ever experienced, but I was cramped and it was filthy. All the products looked like that had been sitting there for months with dust all over them. The woman who did my hair, all her brushes looked like they were never cleaned, and the attitude of the owner and the staff was less than appropriate. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE. I would say, find another salon and run for the hills because as no one should endure what I did. In looking over some of these reviews, I can see others have had similiar experiences and it just blows my mind that this Salon has won Best Of. They have had to had all their friends vote them in because franky, it astounds me that they are still in business.

My wife who is Thai had her hair done at Bravo Salon. I was with her during the explanation of what we wanted done. The hair stylist Stephanie looked at her hair for several minutes. We showed her a picture of what we wanted. She then told us that it was not recommended because it would wash out after 3 or 4 washes. In addition, due to the color of my wifes hair (medium to darker brown at the roots), she would need to bleach it first to remove the darker color. We then went with another color that was closer to her natural color. She said that would be a good choice. She never discussed anything about bleaching being necessary which seemed normal since we didnt go with the option that required this. When I went to pick my up wife after she got done, I was told that it was a little harder than expected. This caught me off guard as it didnt take more time. I was told 3 hours to begin with. It was actually 30 minutes less than 3 hours so I was a bit perplexed. She then explained to me that she had to bleach the top of her hair. This made no sense because we didnt choose the first style because of this fact. And why would the stylist not be able to realize that the color chosen would need to be bleached as well after evaluating her? They told me that they discussed the extra charge with her and told her it would be a little bit more. My wife verified that they never told her specifically that it would be $100 more. They also didnt deny this either. My wife even told them that she only spoke English "a little bit". My wife is not very fluent in the language and I feel that they took advantage of this and charged for unnecessary procedures. The cut was about $45. The coloring was $110. The bleach was $100. So what this business is stating is that $100 dollars is a "little bit more" than $110?! This is incredulous. This business is absolutely unethical in their practices. They clearly took advantage of my wifes sub par English. They never bothered to call me despite knowing that her English wasnt stellar. They never told her a figure. This is inexcusable. It is beyond my comprehension as to how an ethical person can do business with a client who has an obvious weakness in the language where they tell them an "additional fee" would cost a little bit more when that addition cost 90% of the main service being rendered.

I have been getting my hair japanese straightened for over 7 years now by another salon that is too far too travel to. So I decided to find a local salon that offered the same service and used the same products. The result was finding Bravo Salon in Scottsdale, AZ. My hair was done by Alicia (also the owner) she appeared at first to be very nice and informative. However, when the results of her service was disastrous she had the nerve to tell me that "my expectations were too high"! I could understand this if I was new to this hair procedure and did not know what to expect, but I had it done over 7 times by another salon and stylist and with the same exact products and their result on my hair was never disastrous as what was the outcome of Alicia Bravos work. She obviously does not have high enough expectations for herself and for her customers. $500 later, and not even a mention of giving me a dime back or even an apology, and now 6 months later...my hair is still ruined and it looks like my only choice now is to cut my below the shoulder hair to ear length! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND GO TO THIS SALON FOR THIS PROCEDURE!!!!!!! You will have lost hundreds of dollars to someone who will not be held accountable to her own mistake! I have truly never wrote a review like this before, but it still makes me so mad even a half a year later how she treated me and my destroyed hair do to her wrongdoing!
