When to get my transmission checked today ,just to make sure that the used car I just bought was ok ,after dropping it off and waiting for a call six hours later ( in this time I ran errands by my house which is near there shop, I drove by 4 times in that time period the whole time my car was out side), they told me that my transmission was slipping in first second and third gear and it had metal on the dip stick and that it would be around $3,000 to 4,500 to fix ! When I drove it there was no slipping in any gear and the four wheel drive works fine the day before , so when I picked it up I took it to affordable transmission on a referral from a friend . The staff there were super nice and took it for a test drive with me in the car , they told me that there was no metal on the dip stick and he said that its not slipping in any gear, he did say that it smelled like it had got hot but that was all tranny still has good life left in it ! I would not recommend AAmco to ever service any of my cars or any one period! I felt that I was lied to and treated like a fool! If I could I would give them a negative 10 you shoul not run a business in this manner!

If you think youre saving money think again and get a second opinion Dont let theyre kind of fool you They have very good customer service very good polite people there but overall I went disappointed i was thinking I was going to get a good deal .Then I called Toyota And told them what the problem was that I needed a new driveway they they replied that it was only going to cost $ 500 -600 and with labor . But it was too late they already did the work. I had to pay 780 something dollars . That same day they were trying to charge me 600 just for the back shocks and i called a few places . The most expensive I found was 200 with the shocks and labor to put it in and and I was shocked by what I found out so I confronted the manager and ask him why are you guys charging me 600 for shocked he says cuz theyre allowed to charge for how much they want cuz already bought the parts, so they can resell it to you for whatever price they put after that so if you dont know about cars get a second opinion or just do not go there . cuz they will overpriced you if they havent already

I really enjoyed the great friendly service I had with Rod and Kyle they took really great care of me, and after going to the tanner transmission on redwood road and to find out they messed up my filter when doing the transmission flush, so I noticed my transmission started slipping and making funny noises and for them to tell me "to bad we cant help you thats on you" and me stressing so bad that I was going to be out so much money. (we are talking like 4,000 dollars worth) Thanks to these guys they were my blessing in a bottle and to have hopefully fixed my issue for awhile I did not want to really have to take another loan out so soon on a transmission, but in the end I really advise to go to these guys it is worth the experience and the friendship you can gain with these guys as well as trust.

Asked them to replace a sensor and clean the pigtail on my parents transmission. Easy work I wasnt close enough to do myself. Tried to push $210 worth of just evaluation and started offering to fix other things, giving out increasing charge amounts. Still didnt fix anything. Finally got the to just look at the sensor, charged $120 just for that eval and quoted another ridiculous amount trying to add more repairs to it. I was very clear about what I wanted from the beginning, and all I got was someone trying to pad the bill. Finally flew in to my parents, paid for the useless evaluation that only told me what I already knew, and am going to just replace it myself now that Im in the state. Never referring work there again.

It is never an easy thing to swallow when you hear the news that your transmission needs to be replaced. I originally had my vehicle at another shop for the repair but had an uneasy feeling about how it was being dealt with and decided to check in on another shop and ask a few questions. After speaking with Rod and Don I felt much more at ease and decided to have my vehicle towed to AAMCO. They are very thorough to make sure they take care of the problem the first time, they keep you informed during the process! I felt I was taken care of they were always upfront and fair. P.S DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THE SHOPS AND BECOME INFORMED!! Thanks Rod and Don for all of your help!

Awesome Customer Service. They are very thorough, therefore it will take some time. Make sure you are okay hanging out in their waiting area or get a ride and come back. Very clean shop and waiting area! If there are any underlying issues, I appreciate how they walk you back to where your car is and point out what is needed, etc. Very helpful and honest. A tad pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for! Id much rather pay a little extra and know my car is in good hands, rather than pay less elsewhere and have them not care at all. I will continue to go back here, I think they do an awesome job.

I own two ford rangers i had a transmission go out in one of them. I took it to another transmission shop to have it looked at. In a matter of a half hour they told me it needed to be replaced. It took them over a month to get it back to me. Shortly after the other one went out. I brought it here to Aamco they did their multi-point inspection and deternminded that the trans was bad. So i told them to fix and 4 days later i had my truck back working better then before and better than the other one no leaks shifts like a dream. these guys are awesome!

SAVE MONEY and TIME, DONT bother with taking your car here. There multi point inspection is terrible. They dont thoroughly diagnose cause they just want to push You into buying something you DONT NEED. Orginaly took my car in after noticing the check it engine light was on and dashboard D4 light was blinking. Long story short they told me my transmission was failing. My transmission was working perfecly and already just rebuilt few months ago. Transmission was running just fine after replacing the most inexpensive little part an simple F6 fuse.

Took our 1966 Chrysler in and needed a diagnosis which was $200 and I told them everything I knew and when they got done they told me everything I already told them and no new news. Then after more issues with the car we had them change out the fuel pump and a week later the fuel pump quit working. We dont have the money to tow it back in for them to look at it. Not happy with that place. Wont go back unless they pay for the tow, which as of now they wont unless its their fault about a bad fuel pump and thats after we have it towed in.
