Utah Imports follows the Golden Rule. What a refreshing surprise. I had taken my Volkswagen Jetta to Allan and Jeff at their Volkswagen side of the business for years. After I sold that vehicle (with 235k miles and still running nicely) a number of years back, I forgot about them because I no longer owned anything that they serviced. Last week I returned to Utah Imports when I learned that they now have a Volvo/BMW/Mini side of their business. My wifes Volvo was having a starting issue that Ken Garff had been unable to resolve over the past year. Manager Travis Heugly and Service Technician Mike (Last name?) took the car in and diagnosed that the starter motor was indeed on its last leg. Instead of making the costly repair, they suggested that I limp it back to the dealer since the problem had been ongoing while under warranty. I called Volvo North America to confirm that their SLC dealer would indeed cover such a problem that had cropped up while the warranty was still in effect. Turns out that the dealer had incorrectly told me that the car was out of warranty. The car still has six months of warranty left. Now I will have to see if the dealer is able to resolve the problem within the next six months while still under warranty or if I will have to take it back to Utah Imports to get it resolved. The type of honesty displayed by Travis and Mike at Utah Imports is refreshing--shocking actually. I highly recommend supporting individuals like Travis and Mike at companies like Utah Imports who treat you like they themselves would like to be treated. 9/17/2015

I was very impressed with the staff at Utah Imports. I have a daughter that lives in Salt Lake City who was having issues with her car. After having a poor experience at another shop who did $2500 in repairs and still did not fix the car I located them online. I live across the country in NY, but after speaking with them on the phone decided to have her bring the car to their location. They fixed the problem the first time and at less cost than I expected. Devin the service manager went out of his way to help out which is greatly appreciated. I have no reservations about recommending this shop for quality work, fair prices and a helpful and well informed staff.

These guys are awesome: excellent service, technically and in their customer service as well. We were traveling a cross the nation (Oregon to Florida) and our car broke down at Salt Lake City. The Utah Import team helped take care of the problem caused by another mechanic! They also lent us a loaner vehicle for the time they were taking care of ours. Highly recommended.

I have owned several VW cars and I have taken them to Utah Imports for maintenance and repair. I recently had the turbo fail on my car and it caused "a lot" of damage. Utah imports was very considerate and helped me work with an insurance adjuster going above and beyond to help the process along. I am totally satisfied with their customer service and quality of work.
