This place is amazing. I called from another shop that were charging me for work i couldnt afford or needed. Phil was great. He told me to come and they would fix it even though he would be working past closing. The price was reasonable. When i told him what happened and the other place refused to help even though my bad brakes put a huge safety risk on me. Phil actually cared about me and my son. He said all care about is your safety. I knew then that money wasnt his first concern. Then when i got there he was personable and i could tell he loves his job. I didnt realize i had a nail in a tire and instead of just trying to sell me something they offered to repair it for small fee. How refreshing to find a place that cares about their customers, does a great job and even goes the extra mile to help people. I also found out after asking about a repair i needed on another vehicle that they are a full service center ...not just mufflers and brakes. They are certified so i feel i can trust their work. I was definitely treated with respect which is nit always the case when a woman takes a vehicle for repair without a man. Some places we just want to take advantage of women. I would highly recommend this business.

On the 4th of July, on my way down Little Cottonwood Canyon, my car started to have a severe wobble when braking. This morning I started calling around to the best rated auto shops in my area. Most of them were booked up and not too friendly. When I called Master Muffler and Brakes, Adam answered the phone and said they had someone available to look at it NOW! First dream come true. They were able to diagnose the issues and price parts/labor for me very quickly despite being fairly busy. They took time to get to know my situation and order parts accordingly (instead of ordering the most expensive parts automatically). They were able to get the job done quickly and when they called me to let me know my car was ready, they informed me that they did not need to replace the brake pads and that it would be cheaper than I expected! Second dream come true. I highly recommend this shop for any and all brake issues. Thanks guys.

I came into the West Valley Master Muffler & Brake with my check engine light on and I knew I had multiple codes that were coming up. I thought that I was going to have to get expensive work done on my car but was told that the codes might clear with an oil change that also cleaned things out. When I got my car back after the oil change the check engine light didnt come back on. With my check engine light throwing multiple codes, I know I could have been taken advantage of and told that I needed several things done on my car to clear all the codes but these guys knew their stuff and were incredibly honest and suggested the oil change first, as it was the most cost effective, before any other work was done. I will definitely continue bringing my car here as I feel the employees here are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and have great customer service!

initially seemed to be good, customer service is great. i had my brakes and rotors changed in March 2015. beginning of Jun my car started to shake everytime i hit the brakes. i called in and explained about the situation and they were great, told me to bring the car in and that they will take a look. called me and told me that the rotors had warped, and that they fixed it, but next time it will cost me . . . . Great ! so the next 2 days, now when i drive, the whole front side of the car trembles and shakes, anytime i go over uneven surface or bumps on the road. now i take the car to Toyota downtown slc. after looking at the car, they advised that theres no bolt and caliper for the brake pad on the front drivers side. i should have just taken the car to Toyota dealership in the first place. i aint got time to go back and forth for 1 issue.

Phill at the West valley shop installed a high flow cat on my new exauhst system for my 05 cummins. The weld looked like a clean tig weld only he used a wire feed. Very pleased with Phills craftsmanship and welding skills. I was also having issues with my ABS system. When other shops in the area couldnt identify or fix the issue, Phill spent a little bit of time testing to identify the issue. The fix was spendy only because the part was a dealer only item. In the end, Phill fixed everything I needed to get my truck operating like new. A few days later I hauled my 12k lbs 39 5th wheel 2400 miles to Florida. No issues I would highly recommend Phill and master muffler to perform any work on your vehicle. These guys are honest and real craftsman!

These guys are killer! I came in hearing good things from friends. I cane to the shop with alot of questions on how to improve sound and airflow on my malibu. They answered all of my questions, let me look at everything i needed to to understand everything i was going to be purchasing and following through with. They gave me good pricing and enough detail to make sure it was a legal system and to make sure i was satisfied. I would definitely recommend going to this shop for basic repairs, or any special add ons to your project. Adam had great customer service skills and talked to me like a human being, rather than another person just coming into their shop to toss money at them. You earned the 5 stars, and my further revommendations!

I have gone to another repair shop for years. They told me the problem was in my catalytic converter. The other repair shop ended up quoting a much higher price than master muffler, and the quote they gave was for something completely different than what the actual problem was. Master Muffler ran a very thorough test and told me what the actual problem was. They let me know every step of the way what was going on and were very friendly and easy to work with. I have a few more things I would like to do to my exhaust system, and will definitely be going to them in the future.

Do you know the sound of those annoying cars like the honda civics that people build up and make them street racing cars? Well something happened with my muffler and it sounded like one of those loud annoying cars. I took it to master muffler and explained the problem and they were able to fix it. They explained to me what the problem was and were able to explain it to me so I understood for the most part what the problem was. More than anything they got my car back up and sounding like a normal car not a crazy street racing car.

Brent is a great manager and goes an extra mile to make sure things are done in the right way and I appreciate it. I had to replace the wheels log nut bolts, and because my Ford (2007) is a pretty old car - its hard to find the right log nut key. (Ford is just not manufacturing them anymore due to their low quality) Brent was able to replace bad log nuts that were over twisted and he just did a great job at communicating things right and making sure that I am taking care of.
