Its amazing the crap these guys get away with, I signed up EFT which I always do and I am cool with. But then I stopped going to the gym and didnt bother to cancel it even though I was out of contract (I own my own company so I am very busy) so of course they have the right to charge my card. Here is where it gets shady, one day I get a call from a collection company saying I owe Golds money for June 09, I was like I dont know how this is possible Im on EFT? The collection guy was cool and was like let me look. I asked did they charge me for May he said yes, and I said and July he said yes. So I was like how does that make sense they didnt charge me in June?? He looked at the details and said it appears here that the card was not ran through or even attempted to be ran through. He asked if they tried to contact me? I said no. He looked at the info and said this is their fault and Ill take care of it, which he did. I immediately called them canceled did the whole 9 yards and they assured me it was canceled, and my accountant just notified my that it was never canceled and they have been charging me every month. It is very dishonest and shady the way the run it in my opinion and they are very good at playing stupid like "we have nothing here saying you canceled" Blah Blah Blah. Planet Fitness is where I go now and they are very easy to work with.

Customers beware!! I recently parked on the east side of the building and was towed at a cost of $300. Come to find out they just posed no towing signs on that side. If you go at night, you cant see the sign because the light above is burnt out. I took a picture and sent to management on Oct 29th and asked them to reimburse me the $300 since 1) I couldnt see sign due to burned out light, 2) Customer in good standing for 5 years, 3) Have participated in their wellness program, and 4)Have referred their classes to friends and have given them 5 new clients. As of 11/11 I havent even received a response after asking for an update. I asked them to stop towing until the light is fixed but on 11/06 another vehiche was towed. In addiion, I asked for signs to be posted on front door and front desk. That has not been done. They must be making some money off this towing scheme. I have never had a problem with Golds before this besides the fact that in the WVC facility there is never soap in the showers.

Im not even a member of this gym and I know that my experience would be horrible. I called to ask if this location had tanning and Amy asked for my name and number for a fitness rep to call me and give the details. I dont want any calls or to be sold, I was going to sign up anyways. I just wanted to know if there were tanning beds at this location. Amy said she couldnt answer that for me. She literally just sent my business elsewhere rather than helping me come on board. Amy was very snarky and rude and actually hung up on me while i was speaking. Either this gym has a very terrible hiring process to find less than par people like this to work for them, or they just truly dont care how they treat potential customers. I then called to maybe speak with a manager so that they might take action to prevent any further problems like this and Amy answered again. I asked to speak with the manager and she just put me on a back line where I sat on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up.

The facility isnt top of the line and they dont have things that Ive heard other locations have like massage chairs. Busted water fountain, broken swimsuit spiner, watery floors next to toilets and some broken machines but honestly that has not stopped me from getting a full satisfying workout. I would give 5 stars if the facility itself was better. All the staff that I have met so far have been fantastic! Very friendly counter ppl and the trainers I have worked with are better then I could have imaged. They have made me feel comfortable, pushed me as I needed but also are very aware of how far I should safely be pushed. Never thought I would say this but I actually look forward to my visits to the gym and especially to my training sessions with Robert. Ive only gone to The bountiful location a few times but this location is my home base. Special shout out to Stefan and especially Robert. You guys are fantastic!

I HATE this place. When it was a Gold"s Gym i went in for a NO contract deal that they were promoting and wanted access to the pool as well and the man who helped me said we can do a platinum No contract so i agreed thought it sounded great. My boy friend was with me and asked again is this a NO CONTRACT right? The employee said yes. a month later i got pregnant and wanted to cancel no point if Im going to gain weight any way and need that money for medical reasons . When i went in to cancel they told me i couldnt i was under contract. Iv talked to Gold’s Gym Corporate Office and they said i signed there is nothing they can do .I asked for a copy of what i "signed" they sent it and it was all typed in that is BS i never signed any thing you guys just screwed me out of money i really needed.

My frustration is with their billing department. The gym itself is nice. I canceled my plan over a year ago... Or so I was told I did. Last night I ran my credit report and saw I was taken to collections by Vasa Fitness. I thought to myself - odd, I havent gone there in over a year. So I called this facility and nobody could explain why I was still getting charged. It gets worse. The manager couldnt help me. He told me to call their corporate office and theyd handle it. Wrong. The said they couldnt do anything and I had to call collections. Collections sent me back to square one and two. The cycle continued. After about an hour, I decided to cut my losses and pay the $300 fine. I havent used this gym in over a year and I am still getting charged. Think before signing up here!!!

Theyll advertise a cheap 12 bucks a month to month basic membership, however, there are hidden fees such as maintenance fee, application fee, cancellation fee. Meaning youll end up paying a total of 200$+ in the first few months, and unless you wait 6 months to cancel, youll be charged with a 60$ or so cancellation fee. If youre cancelling your membership at all. Do that crap a week before the new month starts. They require a 30 day written notice(meaning youll have to email them 30 days before cancellation), then it takes them a week to write back to you and give you a cancellation application, then youll have to fill that application out and give it back to them. The whole process is frustrating and annoying. Do not go with vasa, theyre crooks.
