Ive been a member a few times over the last 5 years (2 years, 6 months, then 5 months). Mixed thoughts that I hope you will find helpful. BEST competition pool in the Upper Valley. Very inspiring place to get your swim in, as this pool hosts most of the areas best swimmers, you are sure to get some good pointers in watching others swim in lanes around you, or if you overhear a swim instructor talking about a stroke or kick that interests you. If, however, you are an aqua jogger (I do both lap swimming and aqua jogging) Ive been privy to the cold shoulder if its a heavy traffic time; that bothers me. There are a lot of students in the pool from 4-6 pm weekdays; hard to get a lane after work. The center holds a lot of competitive swim meets; sometimes (particularly over the winter and early spring) the competition pool is closed all weekend to members because of these events. Occasionally, I would/will show up to swim, having checked the online competition pool schedule (and seeing that there is nothing going on) only to discover signs on the glass doors that say "Pop Up Swim Meet" Warm water pool is almost therapeutic is is so warm; perfect for a swim if your muscles are sore but you still want to do laps (just dont go when there will be a lot of kid traffic; try early mornings) Land class instructors are AWESOME. They change things up; your muscles will always be adapting; no lassitude there at all. Personal trainers seem very knowledgeable, definitely outgoing, and very responsive (as overheard) to feedback from clients. Spin classes are awesome. There are may instructors and fall/winter classes to choose from; each instructor fills a different type of member profile, it seems; an instructor for everyone. Gym footprint is okay; can get crowded but they def have the right equipment available. They do a fair to good job (relative to other gyms in the area) keeping up on repairs for equipment.

The Upper Valley Aquatic Center is safe and family friendly and the staff is courteous and helpful. My 7 year old daughter loves swimming in the Splash Park, lazy river, and leisure pool. Shes now tall enough to go on the big slide which she loves. We recently had a birthday party for her at the Aquatic Center and it was the best party. The staff was very accommodating. The room was all decorated for us. The table for the children was all set up and decorated. Plates, utensils, napkins, cups, table coverings, streamers, and goodie bags were all provided at an affordable price. At the last minute we were able to add an additional hour to the party as well. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the party, the decorations and with the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely book another party in the future. We also have taken advantage of the "Parent Night Out" offered every second Saturday of the month. The children swim, have pizza and watch a movie for three hours at an affordable price. Our daughter had a great time and wants to go back again! We love the aquatic center. Its a great place at an affordable price.

I am a new member and came to use the pool 35 minutes before the posted closing time. However, I was rudely refused access to the pool. I had previously been told (verbally) that the pool closes 15 minutes before the facility (which should be explicitly stated in their business hours). This still afforded me 20 minutes to use the pool before it closed. I even politely assured the person at the front desk that I just wanted to jump in the pool for 10 minutes, but she continued to rudely refuse me access. First of all, if this is your policy, make it clear through signs at your facility and on your webpage. Secondly, I probably would not have minded so much if the employee (who is the customer service director, ironically) had not been so hostile and authoritarian about the whole thing. This is a service I have paid for and intended to use within the designated pool hours, but was denied service without any reasonable explanation.

We have a great time every time at the aquatic center! Weve done swimming lessons and Splash Camp and used the fitness facilities. My kids loved Splash Camp last summer. Theres a nice mix of swimming, outdoor activities, and crafts. They are begging to go back again this summer. They have learned a ton in their lessons and are now great little swimmers thanks to the UVAC! The gym is always clean and the equipment is in excellent condition. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the facilities are always nice and clean. We couldnt ask for more!

I would have to say that the staff are extremely nice and are always willing to help. The overall atmosphere is great for everyone including a small child. The only issue I have had in the past is with the cleanliness of the childrens play structure but when addressed to workers they were more than willing to help correct the problem. I would recommend the aquatic center to everyone looking for a family outing or for anyone looking to get into shape. The aquatic center will welcome you with open hands.

We love UVAC! My three children have such a great time playing in the splash park and learning to swim in the warm water, shallow pool. My husband and I enjoy the Olympic size pool and great array of equipment, as well as the range of different classes. My personal favorite is that as a member, I can drop my little guys off in the childcare center for free, where they can play while I work out. I cant say enough about this place. Its such a great resource to have in a pretty rural area.

If you are a swimmer, fitness aficionado or active family, this seems to be the place to have it all! As part of the membership you gain access to a plethora of free group classes, such as instructor led spinning, yoga and more. What is a big plus for families with young kids is also the available day care that is offered for free as part of the membership. Of course on top of all this they also offer swimming lessons, CPR courses and more for a fee (discounted for members).

I like the Aquatic Center. It is a great place to bring the family. It offers not only a nice place to swim and workout, but also offers facilities to have birthday parties for kids, date nights for parents and a family friendly atmosphere. We like to use it as a gather place for families to get together. We can send the kids off to swim while parent can catch up while keeping an eye on the kids. This is a great place to go.

Our family joined UVAC a few months back and have greatly enjoyed the facilities this winter. Our son is almost 23 months old and he loves spending time in the splash park and going down the waterslide. Signing up was a breeze, the whole process took about five minutes (three of which were me chasing my son so I could fill out the form). The staff is very friendly and the facilities are clean.

UVAC is such a great place in many ways. My daughter loved the swim lessons and gained a lot of swimming skills. The "river" is a great idea - fun to just float along. The water is so warm - feels like a tropical vacation for an afternoon! Its great to have a mini-water park right in the Upper Valley! Weve done a kids yoga class too and really want to try the new Zumba for kids class.
