When we initially moved in, we obtained a partially obstructed unit, for this we received two discounts -- one 10% discount because we only have 90 square feet of floor space and the other because Im a disabled vet. Unit prices initially went from $74/month to $87/month in a year with 3 percent deflation. In the second year, the price increased again from $87/month to $111/month. We had 0.5% inflation that month. Recently I received a notice in the mail that prices will rise again from $111 to $121 -- an increase of 10 percent in an era where inflation is flat, and the electrical prices the storage company is facing (their principal expense) has decreased 10 percent in the past year. If this disabled veteran could handle the back strain, Id be moving out! But it is dangerous for me to do so...so Ill remain, subject to the immoral extortion of the company. When confronted to see a regional/area mgr. her response "There are none." “I am management.” Any company that treats those of us who kept the nation protected so they could build these businesses this badly deserves to be out of business. To all: If at all possible, store your stuff elsewhere, or sell it in a garage sale. Until these owners come to their senses, they dont deserve our business. Not now....not ever.

I was actually on my way to another storage center, where I had made a reservation, when I passed by American Self Storage. The "garage"-type units were exactly what I wanted (and was unable to get at the larger corporate place) because I had a trailer and wanted a unit that I could pull up to and load/unload without going up and down hallways and elevators. So, I turned in and went to check it out. The staff was very courteous and friendly, and when I wasnt completely sure about the first unit they offered, the staff happily showed me others. The paperwork was quick, and I was able to pull my trailer around and unload the whole thing in less than an hour--I didnt even need a dolly because I was able to get my trailer so close to the unit! The best part is that I got the "garage-style" and a *larger* unit for a lower cost than what the other chain storage place was charging for a smaller unit in a building, 3 floors up and down the hall--it would have taken me hours to get all of my stuff out of the trailer and up there!

I know its only storage but I just had to say that I had such a good experience renting a unit there. I had no idea that there were still local businesses that really seemed to care about what kind of service they provide. Ive grown tired of the corporate excuse for customer service, a 1-800 number! I would tell anyone to go to these guys. I was a little crazy having moved across country and starting a new job so trying to maneuver storage into the equation was rough but Victor pretty much guided me out here with his comforting emails! So when I got here I felt like I already knew him. It was so easy to unload, too. I got enough elevators and hallways at work to get used to so just being able to park and open my space is awesome.

I checked out all the other storage facilities in the area and I found this one to be better than all the rest. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the facility was really well cleaned and maintained. Sign up was quick and easy too, plus they had the exact size space that I wanted. I would definitely recommend this facility for my family to use, and all my friends too!

Our company has both a unit and parking space here . We love it. They have awesome staff that is really helpful whenever I need something. They also offer a freight release so we are able to have vendors ship items directly to our unit without us having to be there! The pricing was the cheapest in town and they offered us a move in trailer for FREE!

Very unimpressed. From the rusty doors, to the mouse infestations, to the rude employees, to the predatory way they deliberately delay processing payments in order to have an excuse to charge late fees, I found this company and the people who work there to be utterly revolting.
