Unacceptable Cleaning Results and... By yvonneygbrown - Aug 26, 2010 I make every effort to use the services of and to buy products from Ashburn, VA Businesses. Ashburn Village Cleaners has worked very hard to guarantee that I will no longer avail myself of their services. It has been my experience that Ashburn Village Cleaners has no respect for and is unwilling to work with their customers when things go wrong. My cleaning was returned damaged on a number of occasions. Staff nor owners displayed the professional integrity to tell me of the damage and once I discovered and call them on the damage, their attitudes were angry and/or indifference. A year earlier, I discovered one of my best shirts was ripped and when I returned with the shirt in hand, the owner acted as if I were the perpetrator of the damage. Because of convenience, I continued the use of Ashburn Village Cleaners until this week when two pairs of slacks were returned discolored and now can only be worm for yard work. Of course, I called and once again there was no acceptance of their responsibility as the cause of the damage. The son, second generation, to whom I spoke, is now carrying on the family tradition of denial, denial, denial. It is not the problem as much as it is how the problem is handled. Ashburn Village Clearners is a failure at both cleaning and customer service. If you value your property you should weigh the above comments before you have Ashburn Village Cleaners service your items.

I recently dropped of 5 of my dress shirts to them. When I came back they said that one of the shirts was torn on the sleeve when I dropped it off and they saw it right away so they did not clean it. I told them that the shirt was not ripped when I dropped it off and they know it was not ripped, you could tell by the tear that a machine had to do what they were referring too. The girl at the counter continued to repeat her "canned line" and I told her to stop lying to me because you separated the shirts when I dropped them off and you did not say that there was a tear then. Also, since you have my phone number you could have called me immediately once you saw the tear, but instead you waited to tell me on the day that I picked up my cloths. She then called for the owner at which I told him I would never bring my cloths here again and to remove my information from their system. I have been using them for 3 years and this is the first problem that I have had, but if you are going to blatantly lie to me and not take responsibility for the damage that you caused then I will never do business with you again. PEOPLE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED IF YOU DECIDED TO USE THEM!!!!!!!!

I went to pick up some shirts and a pair of pants this morning, and the guy from the back of the shop came up to the counter and said, rather rudely, that there had been blood on my pants, and his "father tried to get the blood off with peroxide", thereby ruining the pants. I explained that there had been no blood on the pants, and he hadnt obtained my permission to do special stain removal anyway. He insisted more menacingly that there HAD BEEN blood on the pants. I said that he ruined my pants, and needed to compensate me. He said, "I was going to give you store credit, but now you hurt my feelings,so no store credit". This guy is pathological. Stay away. Ive heard similar stories from my neighbors as well.

These people are freakin liars! I took my winter coat in to get repaired and they told me they had to do all this stuff and it would cost $50. When I picked up the coat they clearly went with the $1 option and added a piece that wasnt even the same color as my coat. The "counter girl" admitted it was messed up but when "Ma" came up front she repeatedly lied and told me everything was the same color. Then the guy from the back came up and repeatedly lied. They refused to give me a discount. I asked "are you willing to lose my business over this" and he replied "are you willing to lose ME". WTF?!?!?!!

Ive been going to Ashburn Village Cleaners because I like to support local Korean businesses. The lady was really nice and they did a REALLY good job with getting paint stains out of my clothes. I work with paint often and one of the lids on the paint cans came off and got all over my jeans and blouse. Although Ive read/heard that paint will not come out, AVC got the stain out as they promised. Their alteration work is excellent, since I have to get new pants shortened often. Thank you for your professionalism.

I WONT BE BACK!!! Came in at 5pm and was told that the items needed to be put together. I stay nearby, so I agreed to return before they closed at 7. Returned at 6:40, shorts still not put together and several were wrinkle. The lady behind me has a similar experience. The worker seemed quite overwhelmed and was very impatient with customers as if it was their fault their items weren't ready on time. Quite disappointing experience for a first time customer...

My husband bought me a exquisite dress for our anniversary. We went out for a really nice dinner in DC with our children. While we were enjoying our course menu, our baby accidentally threw few things at me and the dress got a grease stain me. I took the dress the next day to Ashburn Village Cleaners in terror. The ladies assured me. And they were right. The dress looked perfectly clean and new. I high recommend this place!

employees were very rude. I went in to ask how much it would be to shorten a pencil skirt and the Asian lady said that I have to bring it in for them to give an estimate. she then said it would be $28-$100+ to do it, so I said "so the minimum is 28?", then she said, "I dont know you need to bring it in" even though she just said the price. super insincere! I would definitely not come here ever.

I dont know what the others are talking about. Ive looked at other reviews and it says the SAME THING. Im guessing that this is all done by one person... Its all the same story. But from my experience.. Its great. Top-notch. I love this cleaners and will use it my whole life. The new owner is also very nice.

FALSE Advertising!!! The sign in their window clearly states "alterations" however when you request a simple alteration like a new button and buttonhole they refuse and say we dont do that.

I have come to this dry cleaners once because it was near me. They really did a good job at cleaning my suit. It is a little pricey though and they are closed on Sundays.
