Unfortunately, this shop (at least with me) has practiced deceit to avoid taking responsibility for something they messed up that posed a very serious safety risk to me and those around me on the road. I had a CV axle replaced by this shop in early December 2013, and evidently the tech who worked on my car, Matt, did not tighten the lug nuts on the wheel when he completed the repair. I did not discover this gaff until I was doing some brake work on my car yesterday, early January 2014. 2 of the 4 lug nuts were GONE, and the other two were not even finger-tight. When I called the shop to confront them about this, Matts response was that he did not even remove the wheel during the repair, so therefore the loose lug nuts was not something he did or was willing to cop to. I know this to be a lie for two reasons - the first being that in my opinion it would be exceedingly difficult if not impossible to remove and replace a CV axle without removing the wheel. Secondly, during the repair, he told me that I needed new brake pads, a diagnosis that is impossible to reach without removing the wheel. Therefore, I surmise that he did, in fact, remove the wheel, and did not torque the lug nuts down properly in his haste to leave work (My car was his last for the day, and he even stayed late to complete the work.) This kind of hasty and shoddy repair work is unacceptable at best and downright deadly dangerous at worst. This is compounded by the fact that I was then lied to by Matt about his apparent mistake regarding the lug nuts on that wheel. The manager is apparently out of town, and I will be calling them to speak to him as soon as he is back in town. Hopefully he will help me resolve this matter promptly - In essence make it right. I will edit this review to reflect that if he does.

Avoid this midas shop or midas all together! They lost parts the bolts they took off, messed with other parts on the cars emission system while they insisted I wait in their waiting room where I couldnt see what theyre doing to my vehicle. They then try to get me to pay to have additional repairs they caused. They are also a SLOPPY shop and has a attitude that they have the leverage and they dont care once they have your car in their shops bay. This shop first lures you in by saying the need to see it and offers you a regular "ball park price" over the phone. When you arrive the act charming and then attempt to rob you. The quote ended up being DOUBLED in person! In person they told me a the part was about 600 plus 700 installation labor, a whopping $1,100 for the part. I called Pepboys and that same exact muffer was only $172. When I told Midas this they told me the extra $1,128 is because im getting a Midas muffler. What crock and robbery of customers money! If there was a $1,128 different in quality dont you think they would advertise this major different in their parts on TV or something. Maybe there parts have $1,128 worth of gold inside the part? If you dont believe me call Pepboys for a price on your part and their labor to install and then call this scam ripoff Midas and watch them use the same lines and scam up the price on you especially once you take the vehicle to their shop. ALSO DONT SIT IN THEIR WAITING ROOM, WATCH YOUR CAR if youre gonna risk taking it to this shop!

I will not be bringing my business to this shop again. I bought an aftermarket exhaust system (cat back from Borla for my 1996 Miata) that didnt quite fit correctly when I bolted it on; the exhaut pipe was out of alignmet with the muffler by about 2" so it just needed a minor bend to fix it. I brought my car to this shop and they charged about $100 to do the bend which is fair, but they didnt get the bend right; the muffler tip was not centered under the cutout in the back bumper. I asked them to fix it and they rudely said I was being picky -- any exhaust shop worth their salt would never claim that aligning the muffler tip in the bumper cutout is being picky, that is so basic as to be laughable. They charged me another $50 to do fix what they should have done correctly the first time. Hope it was worth it for them to weasel the extra $50 out of me, they lost any future business from me and they get a fully justified bad review.

Just took my car in today because of a very noticeable squeaking noise while driving at lower speeds. I dropped the car off right around lunch time and was called with an hour which they had diagnosed the problem. The problem was an bent backing plate and they clearly explained that it was a very minor fix. It was ready very quickly and was able to pick it up shortly after work. All in all I was very pleased with the service. Before this I had went to Mr. Tire in Fairfax which was very unprofessional and needless to say will not be back there. After the exceptional service that was given by Midas today though this will be the place for future repairs. Overall a quality shop and will be back for future repairs!

I have a very old truck - 1990 Ford Bronco II 4x4. With no hassel or run around - this Midas has worked with me on numerous occassions keeping this truck running. It is an awesome truck and I love it - and I would not take it anywhere else. I believe the mechanic there named Matt has been working on it and I like the fact that I have a place and a worthy mechanic that knows my truck and is willing to work on an old vehicle. Everyone there is very willing to help and as long as my truck is not blowing smoke or on fire - I will continue to bring it to the Chantilly, VA Midas - or until they tell me "dude - seriously - let the truck go" HAHA THANKS!!!

Ive gone to this shop off and on for 10 years. They always give good reliable service. They have never given fraudulent estimates or sloppy repairs. I have always gotten good quality service from them at a reasonable price. I occasionally find a great deal (coupon) somewhere else and go there, but have had mixed results (good/bad) with other places. Midas may not always be bottom dollar, but they always have given us quality dependable service at a reasonably cheap price. When you really need it to work, take it here. Only once did we have a small problem and the management bent over backwards to make it right.

I have been a loyal customer here for many years after searching for a trustworthy shop. Many times, they have proven such. I went in stating that I needed new brakes on my 96 prizm, only to have them show me that they were good, just a little noisy. As a mom of two little ones, they went above and beyond to accommodate getting my car back to me. I will not go anywhere else. I feel that, especially being a female, finding a shop and owner that will explain things and not take advantage of me is worth its weight in oil!
