This shop is directly across the street from my work so I figure "hey if I need to get my oil changed Ill just drop it off before work and pick it up after" well that works, however every time I pick my car up they always hand me a page with over $1000 Of work on it saying that whatever is present on the list needs to be done. looking at the car myself, I find that all of this "work" that needs to be done to my car is unnecessary or way to early to have the recommended part switched out (i.e. they said I could use some new brakes, literally two weeks after I had put them on myself) they see me, 21 years old walk into the shop with a smart car and figure Im too much of an idiot to look at the car myself and call them on their lies. I also had an old Saturn ion with light (and I mean regular driving light) rust on the underside of the car, they claimed that there was way too much rust to even attempt to work on the car. On a separate occasion my friend who is, in fact not mechanically inclined brought in his car for an overheating problem, they recommended a full under the hood rebuild, wires, plugs, radiator, the works totaling to over the price of the car. We set the car on blocks ourselves, swap the radiator and as luck would have it good as new! No need for any of the other items swapped, granted the things they say need to be done are "recommended" but for the average joe recommended means "needs to be done". I have left very few 1 star reviews on google and I hope that the people reading this will highly consider bringing their business elsewhere as I am doing from here on out. Going to a different shop may be more inconvenient but at least I know Ill be getting quality service.

I was pulling into Starbucks to get some coffee last night when I noticed my car was making a weird noise. I get out and saw that my tire was flat. I drove across the parking lot to Firestone but it was around 7:15 and they were already closed. I didnt try to knock on the door to get anyone out there. I know how to change spare tires so I pulled into the lot and went through my trunk... only to discover the car I just bought in October did NOT have a spare in it! Or a donut! I called insurance and they said they couldnt get anyone out to me until tomorrow. I was going to set up a ride home when an employee pulled beside me and asked if I was okay. Another came right after and they looked at my tire. They got permission from the manager to unlock the shop and either fix or sell me a tire. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you two for helping me. I had my 4 year old and a final exam I was supposed to be studying for. The tire wasnt able to be fixed and I was sold a new one- I trusted them completely to do what was best. I really appreciate you guys taking the time after work to help me get back home to Isle of Wight. I believe their names were Aaron and James. Top notch customer service. Thank you so much.

DONT GO HERE! THEIR BUSINESS ETHICS ARE APPALLING! My car started smoking/steaming while I was driving it. So I pulled into the first car repair place I saw, which was this Firestone. It was obvious that I could not drive my car out of there without it being fixed. For two radiator hoses, a thermostat, and the "test" to see if my head gasket blew, they quoted me $500 !!!!!! (fyi: a hose is 10 bucks and a thermostat is 5 bucks). I had my car towed to another mechanic (Salas, very honest place). They towed my car AND fixed it for $130. If my car didnt need to be towed, fixing it would have cost $60 (compared to $500!). It might be relevant that I am a young female, so I guess they thought they saw a sucker coming. Little girl with a stranded car, right? Luckily, they were wrong. (I know a decent amount about cars). but really, DO NOT go here. ESPECIALLY if you are female, and/or if you dont know much about cars. Reprehensible people.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I made the mistake of going here because they were the cheapest. I made an appointment online to have new brake pads installed on the front and back. I made sure to say "front and back" in the comments section of the website. Dropped the car off the next morning and told them again I needed front and rear pads. I got a call a little later saying it was done, but when I went to pick it up, they had only done the front. I got pretty upset and left without my car, saying something like "Finish the job!" The guy at the desk said something along the lines of "You can take it somewhere else..." but the car was already there and I wasnt wasting my time taking it to another shop. I wont be going back here because they dont do what you tell them.

Updated 27 April 2016: After making a complaint, they were quick and courtesy in resolving my issues. Had new tires install and two months later had tires aligned and rotated. While cleaning my truck notice lock key was missing. Upon inspection of tires, all the lock nuts had been replaced will regular nuts. Lock nuts and key missing. They claim to have no idea about it. Only place car has been serviced since locks missing. I verified the key was in the wheel base before tires were installed to ensure they knew where to look. did not think to verify they put everything back. Check you tires before you leave. Now i have to purchase new wheel locks.

The work gets done but customer service is NOT the area of expertise for this store. I dropped my truck off this morning and was told that it would take maybe all day to get my truck back to me. If they did the inspection also would probably need to keep until tomorrow. BTW, I dropped it off at 0715. They were to check out a bad noise in the front brakes (under warranty). I ask when they would be able to check it out and call me to tell me what is wrong. "oh definitely by 9am". At 1140, still no call. Of course, Im in the need so why call me? Maybe I will look for a new place to do business other than my warranty work there.

I was fine with just buying tires, had no complaints. Then I took my car for a timing case cover gasket, Lord, I never would have thought of the problem. All hell broke loose, they kept it for over a week and when I got it back it was cutting back while driving, still loosing water, and the check engine light on and never has gone off. I was afraid to go back because none of this was happening before I took it.

Brought car here to have a hole in the tire plugged on 8/13/15. Yesterday 8/27 the plug blew out. Not such a bad thing but in changing to the spare discovered they cross threaded a stud. To get tire off had to break stud. (9:00 at night). Cost to have stud replaced and tire re-placed - $179. And they put tires on for a living...!!!
