Finding a mechanic is never easy. You never know who you can trust. Well look no further. These guys arent the cheapest. Theyre also not the most expensive. They are however honest, considerate, and extremely helpful. I had taken my 98 accord to them a couple times and then a few months back my brake lines rusted out and I had it towed there. David called me and told me the cost of repairs. I couldve just asked him to fix it. Instead, he told me straight up it was probably time to move on. How many mechanics would turn down an easy $1000+? Exactly. Since then, my wife and I have brought two vehicles to him that we were interested in purchasing. Auto Stop test-drove both and checked them out to see if there were any issues we were unaware of... FREE of charge. If you need a local mechanic, you cant go wrong here. Going to someone cheaper may save you a couple dollars up front, but these guys will save you much more $ in the long run.

I have been going to both Autostop locations for about 5 years. I cannot praise this place enough. Today I worked with William at the Falls Church location and he was incredibly helpful. My 2012 Acura TL wobbles at high speed and his knowledge of Honda/Acura was very appreciated. Ive worked with Tony, and Edwin in the past and everyone is so friendly I try to keep in mind that theyre running a business because we might chat for extended lengths of time. Ive personally had Autostop work on a 2004 Mazda 6s, 2010 Audi S5, 2012 Honda Civic, and 2012 Acura TL. I trust this business enough that Ive sent colleagues, my girlfriend, and family members. They clearly value quality customer service and repeat customers. The staff at both locations (S. Four Mile Run, and Leesburg Pike) are really incredible, but the names that specifically stand out to me are William, Edwin, and Tony.

I highly recommend Tom at Auto Stop. Recently moved to area and had an exhaust leak. Quote from Midas was $490. Called Tom who said he could do it for $260. On the day of the repair, he called me about an hour or so after Id dropped my car off to explain a minor issue and gave me the available options. Said it might cost an extra few bucks for one extra piece. Upon return, he didnt even charge me for the extra piece and gave me a discount for being a new customer. Any problems with my car and I know where Ill be going back to. Thanks Tom.

I am new to VA and typically take my car exclusively to the dealership, but in an effort to branch out I tried Auto Stop. I had the best costumer service. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and answered my questions. The owner went above and beyond to show me things on my car I was curious about such as the condition on my breaks and rotors. If you are in need of servicing your vehicle, I highly recommend you check out Auto Stop. Oh yeah, the price here was much more affordable than the cost atthe dealer!

This is the best place to take your car!!!!! I entered Toms shop exhausted having been lied to by a dealer and a mechanic on the state of a car I was purchasing. I come here for the first time and tell my story. Tom brings me back and personally shows me exactly what is going on with the car. They gave me a loaner while making repairs and then assisted me in choosing a better car to purchase. This place is above and beyond all expectations! I will always bring my car here and recommend it to everyone I know!

"Were not Jiffy Lube" is what I was told as they said I would have to wait 1.5 hrs. for my oil change after arriving for my 8 am appointment. They only have 1 mechanic onsite. William, the "customer service" guy should get a new job. He was extremely rude and caustic during our interaction. However, the mechanic was very friendly and helpful. UPDATE--I was immediately contacted by the owner and he apologized for the rude employee. And, he said he would resolve the problem.

Theyre honest. After the dealership wanted to charge me $2200 to fix my car, Tom, the owner of the Auto Stop, rightfully advised me to bring my car in. Not only did Toms team correctly diagnose my problem, they fixed my car in less than a day, charged me a tiny fraction of what the dealer wanted, and provided me with a loaner car. They showed me the faulty part and explained why they replaced it. Ive found a new mechanic!

I had to take my car into the autostop for an engine warning light. There was some sensor that had to be replaced. The service was quick and friendly. I was given a ride home because the work would take a while.

Found myself stuck w dead battery (and cart full of groceries). Tom showed up in 10 mins, gave the battery a quick jump and had me on my way immediately. Soo grateful!!!
