I took my car in to have the timing, belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets etc... changed. During the repair James never put the front bumper of the car into the service position (which is necessary to replace the timing belt). When I questioned him about it at the time he insisted he was able to do it, when I asked him for the old parts he could not provide them. I reluctantly paid the bill because he threatened to keep and sell my car, but always had suspicions that the work wasnt done) After a few weeks the car was leaking oil again, but James insisted it was a different leak, The leaks shortly became worse then before. I then took my car to a different mechanic who inspected it and informed me that the timing belt was the original factory part and not the aftermarket part I was invoiced for by James, that all the seals and gaskets that he was supposed to have replaced were leaking. When I called him to reach a settlement he threatened to have his lawyer "cost me alout of money" and refused to reimburse me for his fraud. My advice is avoid this place like the plaugue.

The owner/mechanic, James Mayes, charged me over $2000 for parts and labor on my vehicle. The services paid for were not completed!! Had to take my car to dealership and find out that I still had factory parts on my car. I took him to court and he never showed up nor put in a grounds of defense to the court!!! I was informed that I am not his first victim and that this owner/business has several judgments against him!!!!!!!!!! The sad part is that he is a good associate of my family member!! Dont trust him and dont take your vehicle there for any repairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he overcharged me for labor time and doubled the cost of parts!!! Do your research people!!!!!!!!!!! Lesson learned!!!!!!!!!

I own a cab co. and needed to have repairs done asap . J.T. Automotive understood this and got me back on the road right away. They dont charge and arm and a leg to diagnose your problems or tey to rip you off. They work till they are done not till they want to go home it seems!:)

James treats people the way you should be treated. Helped my daughter out when she had car problems while at UMW. Explained everything to us and prices are very good. If you have a student who attends UMW and has car problems, I highly encourage you to go to see James. Tom Clouser
