Just left there today - I clearly never learn from experience. Seriously, make the effort to go somewhere else - itll save you a lot of money and frustration. About eight months ago, I went to this place to have a state inspection done and some minor repair work done on my car. Not only did they neglect to some of the work I asked for (securing the battery connection, which was loose), but they removed my driver side headlight bulb (which worked) and didnt replace it. After I was pulled over and ticketed for not having a headlight two days after I picked my car up, you can imagine my surprise when I took off the cover and discovered that there was no bulb in there. They also left my car unlocked in an unsecured parking lot. When I expressed my concern over their negligence, I was given a coupons for free oil changes. Fast forward eight months. Instead of going somewhere reputable, I decided to cash in my coupon for a free oil change. The desk clerk explained that my car was overdue for some service and that they accepted competitors coupons. He took the time to write down on an index card resources for these competitors coupons for me to reduce the cost of my service. Great customer service, right? Wrong. When the service manager, Jason, explained that I needed $1200 worth of service, I didnt go somewhere else for another quote like I should have. I had all of these coupons, you see. And they promised to accept them. Except when I came in with said coupons, the policy had magically changed overnight. It seems that too many people were using the coupons - probably as an incentive to return and get crappy service - and it was no longer feasible for them to accept coupons, especially not for that large an amount. With no apology and no remorse, they openly reneged on their promise to me when I went in there. The service manager didnt even have the decency to come out and tell me himself. I dont blame them. I blame myself for being stupid enough to go back in for a second round.

I have been using the services several times. The service is not bad even the price may be higher than other shops. I actually dont mind paying a bit more because it is closer to my house. However, I do have problem with their billing practice today. Today, my wife dropped off the car with a coupon. It is $39,99 for oil change and tire rotation. The front desk told her that V6 engine needed more oil (extra 6 dollars) and also recommended her to use better engine oil (extra 20 dollars). The estimated was $72. When I went there to pick up the car, another front desk person handled the paperwork and charged me $82. The 2nd front desk person could not make me understand why the total was $82. Since it is only $10 difference, so I just paid for it first. After I came home, I looked over the paperwork and called the manager. I got a different math from the manager this time. I was told the coupon for oil change and tire rotation was $39.99 and extra oil for V6 was $11 and the premium oil was $16 and about $5 for fee and tax. I added up those numbers but the total was NOT $82. The manager insisted the initial estimate $72 was wrong, so I did not really argue with him for $10. I see two problems here. The first problem is they did not put down any estimate on paper. The second problem is the coupon did not really say how much I could save, so it was up to the front desk person how much discount they applied to the coupon. In my case, I only see $5 discount on the invoice. My guess is the 2nd person should apply $15 discount, instead of $5, but it is too hard for them to fix the problem. If they could not honor the estimate, the coupon value and keep on changing the math to justify the total, then I start to question their billing practice and honesty.

I would have given this a zero if it would allow it..... I have never taken a car somewhere and actually had it come out worse than when I took it in until today. First, I took the car in to get a cheap hose replaced. After a few hours worth of time they called to tell me I needed a few other things and a pressure test. I said ok wanting to make sure my car was safe to drive. This ended up totaling my expenses to $400. After another hour they called to tell me it needed the radiator replaced, hoses, thermostat. This would be another $900. I told them that after spending the $400 I would have to wait a little while until I could get the rest of the work done. I pay what I owe and take the vehicle home. I look and notice that there is radiator fluid rapidly leaking from my car at this point. I take it back immediately and was told that it will do that until the radiator is replaced. I understand it needs replaced but it was not leaking like that until I took it there. The staff then told me that anything like that can get worse when you do a pressure test. It would have been nice to know beforehand that this test could make it so that I cannot drive it. I am now stuck because my vehicle is still sitting at va tire and auto. I cant even take it somewhere else safely. The staff was friendly but more or less said they cant do anything unless I pay the $900 for a new radiator. Even employee Carl looked at it before and after and agreed it was worse. I need Corporate to contact me immediately. This is not acceptable and I will not let this rest. I will contact my attorney. I do not like being treated unfairly. Kevin Howard

I went to this store to get a va inspection on my 2009 370z. There were only three cars in line shouldnt be to long, 2.5 hours later they come out and tell me my front brakes failed. they said they could replace the pads and turn my rotors for $300+. I declined and took my car home, I ordered all four new drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads a very nice upgrade for my car, at a cost of $306 thinking if the front brakes failed surely the back could be close to being bad as well. My new brakes arrived and my son and I began the process of changing the brakes. In which time my son pointed out that he was able to remove the lug nuts on the front passenger side (the side they removed during the inspection) with his fingers!!! Then after removing the pads I discovered that the pads were only worn approximately 1/8"compared to the new pads, also the rotors were perfectly fine. I decided to proceed believing "well maybe it was the other side" so after taking the driver side apart and it looked exactly like the passenger side no abnormal wear nothing . I became very upset that Va. Tire And Auto was using there inspections as a way to get people to spend money they did not need to. The back brakes were in the same great shape as the front were. It is my opinion that Va Tire and Auto were simply trying to rip me off especially at the outrageous price of $300+ for just pads and turning of rotors.I heard 5 other people complain while I waited the ridiculous 2.5 hours for an inspection. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE !!!!
