THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED. Do not take your auto here. I was in the military, doing a tour overseas when my wifes transmission went out. I had always assumed that you should take your car to the specialist in that field, so told here to find the nearest AAMCO, very bad idea. This place gave her a quote of 2,000 to repair it which was way above our budget, so she asked a friend for help in finding a place that was cheaper which she did. My wife went to tow the car to the new garage to get it fixed. This AAMCO would not release the car to her without her paying 430 dollars for the estimate (really 430 for an estimate?) the manager told her that if she did not pay it he would ruin her credit. After paying that bill, the car was released back to her, but the transmission was thrown in the back of her car. After my overseas tour was completed, to went and bought new air filters for her car, when I went to replace them I found Cheetos and Doritos bags stuff in the intake, this was the only place that had serviced the car. Beware, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, but the cowards never responded.

We have been customers of AAMCO Of Fredericksburg ever since Owner, Brian Derrico, took over the business back in 2012. As repeat customers, we really appreciate the culture of service that runs throughout the organization. The techs are very knowledgeable & experienced and they take the time to explain, in as much detail as you need, the required repairs. The work is done with minimum wait time and done right the first time. Manager, Mike Mills, is a pleasure to do business with and has given us superior service each time weve had work done at this establishment. The perks offered through the Rewards Program are great and an added "plus" to an already superb level of service. Was surprised to learn that they do all kinds of auto repairs ~ which weve used as well ~ not just transmission work. Highly recommend this company for caring, professional & reasonably priced service .. !!

The custom service at this Aamco is phenomenal. I came to the shop because my clutch was slipping, and instead of paying a whopping 1400$ the GM worked with me and helped me save about 500 bucks. The Mechanics and GM are extremely knowledgeable and nice, they took me back to my car and showed me what was wrong with my clutch and flywheel in terms that I could understand. Usually Im extremely critical of mechanic shops but I would recommend, and have recommended this place to anyone who is having car troubles. They also worked with me to get my car back to me very quickly, so that I could make it to my morning classes on time. My car is acting like its brand new because of the installation of the clutch and flywheel. Overall, this aamco has extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, great customer service, and get your car back to working order as soon as possible.

Superb customer service and repairs! Took my car to AAMCO to replace the transmission which I had purchased from a local auto parts store. They helped all the way coordinating with the auto part store for delivery and pick-up of old one. Turned out the new remanufactured transmission was defective, requiring a 2nd transmission replacement. While I encountered challenges with the auto parts store (recouping the labor charge), AAMCO went above and beyond in helping me with the 2nd transmission, they offered a good discount for the AAMCO transmission installed and even did a couple of minor repairs at no charge. In my time of need, AAMCO graciously helped. Special mention goes to Tasha and David, personable, friendly, and willing to assist any way they could. I will recommend this store without any reservation and I will continue to take my car there.

As hard working parents, I can tell you that the prospect of having to spend hundreds of dollars, according to estimates Id received elsewhere, was a dim one. Thankfully, I decided to opt for one more professional opinion before having my car repaired. I generally like to do my own repairs but ran into some complication I could not deal with. I have had auto work done locally by garages, none of which I was impressed with so I called around for other options and came across the this AAMCO shop and decided to give it a try. Called and set up an appointment with Tasha the general manager, discussed the work I wanted to be done. She did not try and sell or talk me into any additional work and she verified her responses before she answered any of my technical questions. The price that was quoted was spot on. She only countered my request to show me where she could save me some money. The mechanics were top shelf they took the time to explain what was done and may need to be done in the future

Service manager Jesse and his team are doing a great job of keeping my 03 Honda running in top shape. I originally brought my car in for the check engine light, had some transmissions questions, oil change, etc. The diagnosis was new catalytic converter, however the price and labor were excellent. The tech working on my car sought out the cause of a fuel smell after they replaced the cat. It turned out the top of my fuel sending unit was cracked and melted. Jesse told me they had never seen that before! He rewarded his tech with lunch for the find! If youre looking for honest shop to work on your car, look no further! I am a repeat customer for life!

Initial inspection was thought to be a switch issue so that was replaced for over $100 and then a few days later the entire transmission needs replacing. But the initial charge of $100 and the misdiagnosis is not taken from repair cost. Strike one Transmission had to looked at again and kept car for 1 week. Strike two Back to the shop THREE more times and kept for a few days each time. Strike three Slow to call back each time and several stories told each visit. Just a lot of words but no reliable repairs for $3,000 and thank goodness I have the warranty or the repairs ... all 7 attempts would have cost more than the cheap car!

My car broke down and I had it sent here in the middle of the night on a Friday. They called me in the morning, got the parts and had it done for me before noon on Saturday so I could get to work at 1. There was an issue with the abs light being on after the work but they made sure the car was safe to drive and allowed me to take it for work and bring it back at my convenience so they could get the issue resolved and turn off the light. They have also since called me to check on me and make sure the work is still satisfactory. They are willing to try their best to make sure you are satisfied.
