As someone who previously worked for a national museum dedicated to USPS history and education, I am deeply disheartened to write this review. An item I purchased online was listed as delivered via the tracking information but was never, in fact, delivered. As proof, my complex logs all packages that are delivered to the rental office and must be signed out by residents. My rental office has no record of my package ever being received, and both the office attendant and myself physically checked every package they had just in case my name wasnt logged. No package. So after no response to my online inquiry and three phone calls over two weeks -each resulting in someone assuring me someone would get back to me in 24 hours but to no avail- someone from the branch, S*****, finally called me back. I was patient and polite as she took down the same information from me that I had been repeating since I began this process. She calls me back after a few minutes of looking into it and proceeds to treat me as a liar. She says that the delivery person for my location was very familiar with how packages are processed at my address and has never had a problem with this before. -Not sure how thats relevant, just because a mistake hasnt been made before doesnt mean that it cant ever happen. Then out of nowhere she proceeds to ask me how I can expect the delivery person to remember a single package from two weeks ago. I never once expected or suggested that anyone remember specifics about my mail, and additionally, it had taken me about two weeks to even get someone to speak to me about this issue at all. She continued to be extremely condescending and rude to me over a mistake made by the USPS and turned an accident that could have been resolved by a simple reimbursement into an event that has made me never want to do business with this branch ever again. The issue is still not resolved and I have never been so disgusted by a "customer service" representative.

after not receiving mail since Thurday (it is now the following Wed) due to snow, I called the post office early this morning and asked if I could come pick my mail up. They said to hold so they could see if my carrier was still in the building. I was told that she was and that would be fine. I went to the post office 3 hours later and after standing in 3 different lines for 1/2 hour finally was handed 4 pieces of junk mail. I told them that could not possibly be all my mail in a week and was expecting a pay check and they referred me on to a supervisor and then the post master. I was then told that my mail was on the truck. Why would 1/2 my mail be on the truck and the other pieces there to hand to me? He then guaranteed me my mail would be delivered today. At 5 pm I watched the mail truck come down 3 houses and then turn and leave never finishing our cul de sac. I flagged the truck down and the mail carrier said she was told to be back by 4, and that she told her supervisor that she would not be able to complete her route. I asked for my mail and explained the situation. First she said she was not told to hold my mail for me, then looked for my mail, handed me again 4 pieces of junk mail. When I questioned her again she suddenly remembered someone coming and pulling my mail so I must have gotten everything. 8 pieces of junk mail in a week? I get that in a day, besides no pay check and the post masters guarantee of delivery today. Not even 1 star to this post office!!!!!

I used to trust my packages with USPS. Not anymore and not in this post office! I lost 2 packages in a 1 week timeframe. The status show delivered and notice left for each of the deliveries. The first time it was a package through amazon. What I dont understand is that if UPS and FedEx can find my address right, why cant USPS? I ordered $30 worth of stuff from amazon and USPS loses it. I left it the way it was because I was busy with work and the status kept showing delivered! some postal worker has some explanation to do here or cannot do their job right! The second package, shows that a notice is left at door. I open my door, to find NOTHING! i check my mail box, and NOTHING. so where the hell is the damn notice? I now, need to skip an hour at work tomorrow and go find my damn package at the facility, just because someone cannot do their job right. I absolutely hate this post office. The worst thing is that I dont know which facility, I can expect my package to be at, because I did not find the notice in the first place. So basically, I can only expect my package to be there! worst ever!

I agree with every negative review posted about the Sadler Pl. US Post Office. I used to live in the area covered by the Lakeside Post Office, and I NEVER had a problem with mail delivery. In 2015, I moved to an area covered by the Short Pump Post Office, and I have had more problems with mail delivery between 2015 and 2016 than ever. Ive had packages not delivered because of rain. Ive had them charge me postage for eBay purchases when Ive already paid the postage. The mail carrier for the Hunton Park area frequently puts mail for my neighbors in my slot. The latest is a package from Victorias Secret that was is now showing as going back to the sender because the package is "undeliverable as addressed". I provided the same address as I do for all other online purchases, so I dont see how my address is a problem all of a sudden. And, like many other reviewers, Ive attempted to call the Sadler Post Office from 10:15 to 10:45 this morning - it rings and then has a long beep. When I turn around and call right back, the line rings busy. No one ever picked up. WORST. POST OFFICE. EVER.

I wish I could give a half of a star rating-- My package was clearly marked with correct address but our mail carrier was running at least 2 hours behind her normal time... She didnt even bother to look for my box (office complex off Nuckols Rd) and just marked that she couldnt find box. In reality, she was just late and was too lazy to look. I called and called the post office and the line is always busy, or it will ring and ring then it switched to fax? Pathetic service. UPDATE: I finally got through, the lady on the phone was rude and kept cutting me off and putting me on hold. I even asked her if she knew that the line will sometimes ring and then pick up to a fax line-- she said she knew. ??? I called USPS customer service line and they gave to a number for consumer affairs and guess what? The phone just rings and rings and no one answers. They said the reason my package wasnt delivered was because it was put on the wrong truck by accident-- that the packages for each route just sit so close together and it happens. Like really????
