*******UPDATE******* 3/13/2017 Location Manager reached out to me, after we had discussed my experience, the Manager and I came to terms that we could agree on. Much appreciation and respect goes out to the shops integrity and loyal devotion to customer service. I have re-awarded Midas 5 stars. I brought my car there last week (sat morning) for a state inspection and replacement of a muffler. I was told when I dropped the car off that it may not be ready that day but most likely Monday (which I expected and was fine with). Monday came and it was near the shops closing time so I called to see what was going on; I was told that the muffler had just come in and that it would be installed that evening. I asked if the car would be ready by Tuesday and I was told "yes". Tuesday comes and again I left work early so I would be able to pick it up around 4PM I had called the shop before I was on the way to make sure it was ready and it was not. I was told a technician was staying late to finish it up (after closing). The car ended up being ready on Wednesday 45 minutes before they closed but because I had to work late Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I could not pick it up until Saturday. When I picked up the car, there was no resolution offered to me for the delay of service and why it took so long to install a muffler within a 48+ hour time period. When I went out to the car the car was left UNLOCKED and I am chalking it off that the car was probably left unlocked the entire week leaving any personal belongings (and even the car itself) to be stolen. I am very disappointed with the shop for this. The interactions with the customer service was IN FACT, professional and courteous; however, I did not feel there was any consideration for my time spent waiting and the respect of my vehicle being left unlocked. I did not bother to bring up these issues as the gentleman working was already swamped with incoming calls and customers. I can say that the work quality was good but my overall experience with this shop could have been a lot better. I WOULD recommend friends and family to bring their vehicle there HOWEVER I would say to use caution and watch out for instances like this. I had chosen this shop because of a high review but I was simply let down. I rated 2 stars because the vehicle was left unlocked, otherwise I would have left 3 stars instead or possibly 4 if the wait wasnt too long and 5 stars if they offered to correct the timing issue on their own accord. If management wishes to reach out to me on correcting my experience I would definitely be willing to come to something we can agree on and I would update my review that the issue was rectified and increase the rating. If not, then the review speaks for itself about the integrity of the shop.

I dont know where to start, the people at this midas (especially Delores) have been nothing but amazing, trustworthy, honest, and forthright with me from the start. Ive been bringing my vehicle to them since 2010 and even thought I live in Norfolk, Ill traverse the hell that is the HRBT to make sure that my Car is properly cared for. To list a few things that are of note: 1) when my fiances vehicle was said to have an oil leak, they assesed and concluded that she was getting railroaded (for free) when they could have just agreed with the initial assessment knowing that I would ultimately ask them to do the work regardless 2) they have always been accurate and forthright with the amount of time and amount of wait regarding my vehicle service. Which is never an easy task. 3) On a personal note, When Delores (the store manager) found out that I was getting engaged, she directed me to a jewlery shop and even got me a discount! These examples just display a commitment to quality work and customer service. I always recommend them and hope that they continue their commitment to service.

Travelers can trust their service! My friend, Robin and I, were very impressed by the staffs patient, courteous and professional service after we suffered a mechanical breakdown with the alternator during our trip back home to Maryland. We vetted several highly-ranked auto repair shops using Google, but Midas Auto Repair (Hampton, VA) promptly offered the best package for the job! We opted for the better alternator (130 Amps) vs the competitors (98 vs 120 Amps); but best of all, Midas offered the lowest price, although that was not our primary criteria. Time and service was. We were back on the road mid afternoon, as promised. The final bill matched their original quote estimate! No surprises! Special thanks for providing us timely updates; and specifically to David for making this stressful time a more pleasant experience for us. And we are especially grateful for referring us to the best ribs and beer in town, County Grill & Smokehouse -- another reason to visit the area. ;) Thank you!

I have received exceptional customer service every time I have been to this Midas. Many chain auto places are notorious for using basic maintenance coupons to get someone in the door, only to suggest more expensive (and often unnecessary) procedures while they are there. I went for an oil change and after they completed the complimentary inspection and tire rotation, I was told my car needed NOTHING done. During my wait, I mentioned that I was moving and, without being asked, one of the women working looked online and printed a "relocation checklist" for me. Thats the type of honesty, integrity, and customer service that I want in a place I give my business to. I have not had any work done beyond regular maintenance, but I highly recommend them based on my personal experience.

First off Id like to say thank you to the amazing technicians and staff, without whom this Midas might as well be an empty building. David and Chris were beyond exemplary by providing service that couldnt be matched if it were attempted hundreds of times. David has outstanding phone etiquette and a friendly tone while being extremely professional and proficient. Chris saved me time and a hassle by performing a simple task (simple for them, not me) just at my request. It wasnt something he had to do but Im glad he did, all the while telling me where I can find the parts Im looking for by pursuing different avenues I didnt know existed. Ive only been here two times, but that was enough to know that any time I need anything, Ill go to good people at this Midas.

I came to this Midas location 2 weeks ago because of the good reviews I saw on here. I was absolutely unsatisfied with the costumer service and the time it took for them to tell me they couldnt work on my car for another 2 hrs. After I voiced my thoughts, I was approached by one of the manager who took upon him to apologize for the wrong I felt was done to me, and he actually offered me a courtesy compensation for that. I appreciated that professionalism which is not something you see that often in the car repair and maintenance industry ( I have had 4 cars so far and I am used to bad costumer service in car repair places). I can honestly say that they gained my trust and business back because good costumer service goes a long way and put costumers at ease.
