This company scammed us on the insurance coverage and refuses to compensate for their poor service and damages. They told us we were fully insured and back petalled after we filed a claim. VERY poor quality packing, if packed at all. They "packed" the truck so badly they couldnt move everything they were supposed to (leaving us high and dry to figure out what to do with the rest) and they didnt pack anything inside of the furniture, just moving furniture with items like jewelry and wedding china loose to get lost or damaged!! This is UNHEARD of, both we AND their management (so they claimed) were shocked. Art and dishes werent properly wrapped either. Towards the end they just started shoving things together. We had our belongings in storage for two months before we asked them to deliver them, and somewhere along the line they lost items. The delivery crew reluctantly admitted to me that even they "would have done it differently." Management gave us an arbitrary 7 days to unpack everything and get a claim back to them - simply trying to make it difficult. I was 7 months pregnant and working full-time, expected to fully unpack a 2,000 sq/ft homes worth of items in one week? ha! Although management admitted this was a poor job, they wont provide honest compensation for such poor service and damages. Do not go with this company! Save yourself the hassle and money and just pack your items yourself with free store boxes and newspapers... then hire men to move them into a rental. Much much safer, greener, and insanely cheaper that way.

While most of my belongings were packed just fine, I would never use My Guys again. Out of the 3 workers, One of the movers did very little and did not work nearly hard as the other two, and the other two were even making jokes about how slow he was. I felt like the move could have been done faster, resulting in me not paying as much 130 for an additional hour. By far my biggest complaint though was the handling of my upright piano. They banged it down hard multiple times on down stairs as they brought it down, and would not allow me to help, even though it was clearly too heavy for two people to carry, with the third person barely helping, mostly watching. When they loaded it onto the truck, they did not secure it at all, and as a result, it fell over backwards in the truck, hence the pictures. Pianos are absolutely not designed to handle that type of treatment. While I cannot see outside damage, there is a good chance it is internally damaged and it is certainly out of tune. I requested to be contacted by a manager but never hear anything from them. I even wrote out my complaint on a form they provided and still have not heard from them.

My first experience with an actual moving company. I didnt need a ton of stuff moved (one bedroom plus kitchen and living room). They showed up early, about 10 minutes before the 8 a.m. scheduled start time. They navigated a tricky stairway setup at the move-out space well and got to Richmond quickly. Nothing was damaged. Helped move stuff around in the new spot to set things up. Cant say enough good things, especially since I scheduled the move very close to the move date. Very affordable. I have no idea how they would handle a larger move, but for my purposes, My Guys was excellent.

These men did a great job for us! They worked non-stop throughout the move. Nothing was damaged in either home. The cost was exactly as we had anticipated. They answered all our questions clearly and thoroughly. They arrived on time. They asked us exactly where we wanted the items placed and followed through on everything. They wrapped and padded all items that needed special care. They were also very courteous. I have only the highest recommendations for all of them!

The three guys were slow it took them three hours longer than it should. Will not recommend this company. I got spoiled by the other moving companies we have used in the past. They were really fast. Not happy!!! Also one box had broken things in it. I wonder if the company pays them more to take longer. Bad experience!! Manager never returned my call when I called to complain.

Had two guys come and help me move from my townhome. Showed up early and got all my furniture and boxes loaded up into the truck quick with no damages. They were great to work with and high spirited even though it was raining. Will definitely be using these guys again for my future moves.

This is the BEST moving company around! The guys are amazing and the office staff is VERY helpful. I have moved all over the world and this is by far the BEST move EVER! I will recommend this company to everybody. This is the central Virginia location.
