I visited this post office on a Saturday morning. Disorganized and confusion is what was evident in the lobby. A postal worker named "Mel came to the station closest to the entry door and was willing to help anyone that was mailing items. The 12 or so individuals in line were waiting on picking up boxes and awaiting a "management person" to help these individuals retrieve their mail. The next couple waiting had an envelope in hand and as it was clear they didnt speak English, I motioned them to go to the counter to be assisted by Mel. Mel spoke to this lady with disgust when she was unable to respond if she wanted the envelope sent first class. The gentleman that was with the lady said first class would be fine and Mel again told the lady in the future you need to say first class. Needless to say Mel was very rude. The lady preceded to give her $10 for her 49 cents total. Mel became unglued and said I dont have change for a ten, dont you have dollars. The lady went through her purse and was able to pay with change. I was next in line to mail off an envelope. As I went to place my envelope down, Mel said for me to wait in line and want to provide service to a customer that came after me. She rudely stated “you need to wait in line like everyone else.” I was amazed at her tone as she was amazed when I responded in perfect English, I was next in line right after the couple you just helped. Mel stated Sir you need to get inline and wait just like everybody else as she started helping the lady that came after me. I shared this with the manager when he finally came out to the lobby to help the customers that have been waiting. He apologized to me and that was about it. They really need to fire US Postal employees like Mel. Individuals like Mel have no place in customer service environments nor representing our country’s mail system.

Absolute WORST customer service interaction in recent memory. An employee named Alexis answered the phone when I called about an undeliverable package. I called to track the package down because in shipping it originally I had entered the incorrect street number but the CORRECT street address. Before I even finished my first sentence at the first mention of "undeliverable" she cut me off rudely and went on a tangent about how the package would be automatically forwarded to my "new address." I could barely get a word in edgewise to tell her that that was NOT the issue. She completely railroaded me the entire conversation, to the delay of the entire process. I had to repeat the question about five times in different ways before she stopped talking over me. I offered to come pick up the package myself if it had yet to be returned to the sender. She rudely cut me off YET AGAIN and told me that there was "no one on staff" that could look for the package to see if it was still at the location. There was not even someone who could verify that the package was there. I am going down to the location right now to speak with a manager about her conduct. I just wanted some simple answers, I was not demanding or rude in the least. What a NIGHTMARE employee.

Its a shame that there is no other option for regular mail. I would never trust this post office for more than what we have to. They are totally inconsistent with their deliveries. They are worse than the cable company, you never know when they are going to show up. There have been days where we get no pickup at all. When you call the post office to ask questions, you get no answers from anyone because none of them know the answers to the questions you are asking. I had an express delivery today. Apparantly my normal carrier asked this gentleman to deliver all of our incoming mail at the same time so she didnt have to stop later. Its 11 am on Friday, and Im being told that I wont get another pickup later. Friday is one of our busiest mail days, he picked up maybe 3% of what would have been picked up if they had arrived later in the day like normal. Now I have to go to the post office later. I called to make sure the carrier will stop by later (hell shes in the area anyway), and he couldnt give me a straight answer. He was a bumbling idiot as well. Very unhappy, every day is a struggle with this post office.

So they misplaced a package I had sent directly to them. Came in on a Tuesday to pick it up, was told they cant find it and will call me when they locate it. Wednesday comes and goes... Thursday I call to check on the status. I get put on hold for 25 minutes... they didnt even ask my name.. so how do they know which package to look for? literally looking at my phone right now... says Ive been holding for 25 minutes. No... "Were still here maam..." nothing... This is worse than the DMV. I had to call back on a different number, for them to tell me that they still havent found it and they will call me when they do. This makes me feel like finding my package isnt a priority and it doesnt matter that I might actually need whats sitting around somewhere because someone misplaced it. Ugh... They acted like they were confused when I told them I had it held for pickup... how do you not know what that means!

First, the wait is longer than is needed. My first visit was about a 30 minute wait at 3pm on a week day. There were 4 people working visibly but only 2 never left the counter. One guy was shouting for credit and debit cards, but never explained what for, so people who had credit and debit cards would leave the line only to be told that he couldnt help them. I just purchased a town house that was foreclosed on. Since that is the hottest purchase due the economy going on right now, Ill just give you the heads up that its a $25 fee for a new lock and key for your HOA mail box and then a 2 week wait to get it finished. I wouldnt give this PO a Poor rating since most of the workers knew what they were doing and simply were under staffed for the volume of people they were serving. Worse POs do exist, just make sure if you have to go here, prepare for at least a 30 minute wait.

Issue #1 - Slow service has caused this place to be extremely over crowded at pretty much any hour during the day. There always seems to be at least two employees wondering around aimlessly, offering no assistance to anyone. Issue #2 - I was simply trying to drop off a small box that I had paid and printed postage for online. In my attempt to drop the box off inside, using the drop box, an employee stopped me and said, "You cant just drop off boxes there. An employee must see you with the package." Are you kidding me? This guy had no idea what he was talking about. The whole point of having a drop box for letters, envelopes, packages, etc, is so you dont have to wait in line to see an employee. Needless to say, I refuse to use this location again. I feel sorry for the competent employees who do work at this location. Im sure you are just as frustrated as the rest of us.
