ZERO STARS! I have been bringing my dry cleaning to zips for the past few months. Since I just graduated I thought it was a decent price for dry cleaning, little did I know why the price was so low. A few weeks ago, I took my husbands 2 shirts and pants the zips. When I went to pick it up the next day, there was black marks all on the side of it. I did not notice it until I got home. I called there and they said to make sure I have all the tags on and bring it back. When I brought it back in, the cashier did not even look at the item. She put it in her bin. The next I go back to pick it up I made the mistake at not looking at it since I had a family member die and my husband needed his shirt. Since the funeral was out of town, we left after we went to zips. When we were getting ready for the funeral, my husband noticed the black marks were still all over his shirt. He was not able to wear it to the funeral. This is a WHITE shirt. He went to put his pants on and he noticed the back buttons were ripped off, the zipper was broke and there are tears on the seams. My husband said that was not like that when he last wore them over a week before I took them to the cleaners. I tried calling corporate zips and there was no answer. I wrote an email. The manager I believe called me on Friday. I just had gotten back from out of town and when I answered the phone, she instantly had an attitude. She asked me why I emailed her and I explained the situation. I noticed when I got back 2 other shirts had been ruined. There was tags on my husbands clothing saying "damaged" that I did not see until he went to wear it. My husband did not have that on his clothing before they were dry cleaned. The manager told me that "there is no possible way this could have happened here. It was your husband." First off, I was upset because you ruined over $300 clothing from Mens Warehouse, second you are calling me a liar saying my husband did it? ! You do not even know what my husband does first off and what happened to the customers always being right? The manager told me they put over 100 pieces of dry cleaning in together so why would it only be on my clothing? She was very rude and ignorant. She said there is nothing she could do about the pants or the shirts. She said "I know that it was not that expensive either." The manager told me there was nothing she could do until someone was able to see me and my shirt. I asked when that would be, she said possibly the earliest Wednesday. I told her "this is unacceptable." She really did not care and just kept saying how this did not happen at zips and it was my husbands fault. I told her that I would NEVER be back at zips again. I understand this is a large company, however you need to respect your customers and talk to them. I do not have a lot of money let alone to be spending now on more dress clothes for my husband since zips ruined it. I will NEVER go back to zips.

I recently went here for dry cleaning. Took me four days to pick it up but when I finally did, one of my shirts wasnt clean. apparently the sleeve had rips in it, so they didnt clean it. I tried to speak to the manager/owner they said she wasnt there. Asked them when they would be there. they said thy dont know, she come and goes as pleases. So they took my number down not knowing when I would get a call. The owner called me the next day. She was very hostile. Raised her voice with me several times. I repeatedly asked her to stop yelling at me. I am the customer trying to get answers, but she didnt want to provide any. I asked her for her last name, she wouldnt give it to me. I asked her for Zips corporate number, she said go on the website, very nasty/mean, might I add. She even told me that if we continue this conversation, that she will not have me as a customer anymore and as the owner she has that right.... As the customer, I am appalled by how THE OWNER talked to me. She does not have to worry about me being a customer anymore, I will no longer give this owner my money. As a business owner myself, and someone with a radio show in the Washington, DC area, I will do all in my power to discourage others from giving this woman, and this particular zips any of their business. Do not get dry cleaning done ere. the owner does not respect the customer position. I tried to just write the review without giving a star, but I couldnt post without it. But the 1 star is 1 star more then this store deserves... Oh yah, I wasnt even given the money I paid to have the shirt cleaned back either. Still trying to figure that out.

My daughter had brought her husbands suit to this location to be dry cleaned. Upon pick up there was a problem with the pants. She had returned to the store and spoke to Joanne Ferris regarding the concern and then went to Joseph Banks where the store was purchased. Tom at the store then contacted Ms. Ferris regarding the garment. Evidently the conversation was not a good one.My daughter was quite upset and asked that I call Zips. I then contacted Ms. Ferris regarding a resolution to the problem and to follow up on what may or may not have happened. During the conversation I was told the procedure was taped and I or someone else could come in and see the tape but she could not provide any documentation other than that. What started as what I thought was a polite conversation with some questions quickly turned ugly with Ms. Ferris. I was told numerous time she was not to be lectured and that my daughter was old enough to deal with this concern. I have never had any professional speak to be in such an ugly, discourteous manner. I was repeatedly interrupted during the conversation and at no time was she polite or at all interested in resolving the matter. It is very sad that this was something that could have been addressed with a polite Im sorry for the problem comment but instead became such a confrontational experience. In light of this I, and my family will no longer patronize Zips just because of one persons inability to politely and professionally deal with customers. I will certainly not recommend the services to anyone.

My buttons have come off my sport coats, the inside lining has come undone, and Ive been finding frays, cuts and rips in my clothes. They first tried to blow me off and then someone calling themselves the manager said "its not their fault, it came in that way" when prior when I picked up the jacket they said "their" machine must have damaged it and that the manager knows but I have to call her about getting it replaced. Yet the GUY who said he was the manager didnt know anything about me or my jacket. And separately Ive had them give me back dirty clothes, clothes with spots, stains or just didnt smell clean. Theyve told me they couldnt get a stain out in their washer, yet I took thw shirt home washed it once with regular soap and no presoak or stain fighter stuff and the stain was gone. Ive asked for extra and heavy starch on my cuffs and collars and to have my pants creased. Apparently all that was too hard for them the multiple times I asked even though they charged me for it. Well actually they did crease my pants, with THREE SEPARATE CREASES! Who does rhat and how is that even done but intentionally? NEVER COME HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CLOTHING. Or your money.
