My repair took significantly longer than I was initially told (almost a month when I was told 10 days), BUT not all of that was directly their fault... they didnt seem to communicate well with each other about what needed to be done, leading to it taking more time than it should, but at least some of that was probably due to the fact that the person managing my account quit two days after I dropped my car off, which is just a fluke. What I did see as indirectly their fault is that the people they ordered repair glass from TWICE delivered cracked glass that had to be sent back, adding a couple of days each time. Someone is paying for all of that time and material at the end of the day, and Im pretty sure its the customer, so I wish theyd pick more reliable companies to do business with. Normally those downsides would mean Id give three stars at very best. However, I am giving them four stars because despite the inconveniences, the new person assigned to my account, Mike A., was really good about keeping me posted on what was happening, they were fair in their prices and in responding to my concerns about how long it was taking, and I literally dont think my car has ever been as clean as it was when I picked it up from the shop. I hope I dont need any car repairs again anytime soon, but if they have car cleaning services for cars that dont actually need body work, I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I was very nervous about having body work done, because I am very particular and nit-picky, basically a perfectionist. The estimate from Bay Custom was significantly less than I was expecting, so I made an appointment for the repair. When dropping off a couple weeks later, I added one minor thing I wanted done to the tail gate. Bay Custom did the work in the allotted time frame, but the actual cost was a little higher than the quote 1) because of the extra thing I asked them to do and 2) upon investigation, they had to remove the rest bumper to complete the job. That is fine, but still it was within my budget. When picking up, the job meets my expectations, but there was mild overspray on the rear windows. I got it taken care of, with glass cleaner and a razor blade. Im concerned with what else has overspray on it, but when I clay bar it in the spring, that will take care of any remnants. Bay Custom has a great staff and very professional facilities. Best of all, they stand behind their work with a lifetime warranty. Id love to give a 5 star rating, but the overspray issue prevents that.

I just moved to Newport News a week ago and had to get new license plates and a car inspection. I realized I had no way to put my plates on my car as everything is in boxes and to make matters worse, the top of the screw in my old license plate snapped off and all that was left was the shaft. Im not going to lie, I have NO idea how to fix something like that and I was told to try a body shop. I went to Bay Custom Auto and they were amazing. My front lights had come unlodged and required the bumper to be removed to put them back in, and they somehow figured out how to get the headless screw out of my car and put on both my plates. The estimate was $80 but they did it all for free! They were super fast and so nice. They have my full recommendation! Nicest people ever.

The staff at Bay Custom Auto is fantastic. They were very friendly and warm when I stopped in for an estimate. They had already received information from my insurance company and knew what work needed performed. The estimate was reasonable and the bill was significantly lower than the estimate! What impressed me most was when Robin let me return her call after hours so that I could bring my car in 4 days earlier than estimated for the repair. It only got better when I picked up my car, not only was the repair done well, but they washed and vacuumed it out. And I am embarrassed to admit that the interior was pretty full of pet hair. Sorry guys! Thank you so much for all your help.

Excellent repair of our 2010 Honda Odyssey that was rear-ended. Damage was minor, but I feared the repair. Bay Customs did a great job and it again looks like new. Timely service and guaranteed as long as we own it. They even detailed the vehicle as an added bonus (cleaned rims, carpet, interior/exterior). What a great job! Staff was professional and courteous. Other reviewers either used a different shop, have competing agendas, or have an axe to grind. Cost was covered by insurance, but seemed reasonable to me. Thanks Bay Customs!

Took my vehicle here after another shop did a very poor job and Bay Custom fixed it correctly. There were some issues I had with the repair but they made things right in the end. The only bad thing I will say is their communication is a little lacking. I would have preferred them call me instead of me calling them to get updates but if thats the worst part then I can live with that. They also went out of their way to take pictures for me of just how bad the other shops job was.

Ive taken my vehicles there for over 20 years and each time they have exceeded my expectations. They just painted the grille on my truck and the color was exactly what I described to them cause it had to match the color of some wheels I plan on purchasing. Mike and the staff there are friendly and professional and they even had someone to clean my vehicle although I had such little work done to my truck. Ill pay for quality work and this is what I received! Thanks!!

Have had several repairs over the years done by Bay Custom between myself and my family. Always have done a great job working with insurance to make sure my needs were met and the repair was high quality. Had one minor issue due to them getting a bad part but they were more than willing to re-do the repair! Highly recommend!

My wifes toyota corolla got rear ended by a big moving truck. The back end was smashed up bad and the trunk would not close. We took it here and they worked with the insurance company and got the car fixed. I looks better than it did before the wreck. The staff here is also very friendly.

The absolute best car repair experience I have ever had! They did an amazing job fixing my car, and they even cleaned it from the inside out while it was there. All of the workers have been nothing but amazing and kind, and I am so thankful I went to them for my repairs.

I took my car there and they carved the back of it with what looked like a chain saw, and the back bumper was falling off of it!!!! CAN WE SAY CHEAP!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?! And the girl in the front was extremely rude, I will never take my business there again!!!!!
