Being a new resident of Powhatan, my wife and I have been a bit leery trying to find a good, honest and reliable auto shop. After reading the reviews online, speaking with Dennis and Morgan, went with my gut and decided to try them out. I needed 2 rear bearings & hub assembly replacements. The place is super clean and professional. Dennis took care of me with a friendly joking attitude and Morgan (owner) gave me fair price. When I got the final bill, it was the EXACT price quoted. This rarely happens anymore. Exceptional service, everyone including the technicians were friendly and courteous, top notch! My wife and I will be going there from now on. There was no long list of suggested repairs. A hassle free place and straight to the point. Thank you Murray Automotive- look forward to doing business with you for many years to come. We will be spreading the word to friends in the area too!

They were great. Prices are reasonable, easy to work with, very flexible. The fist trip I needed tires, got a quote then went on my way. Two days later I noticed that one of my tires was questionable so I ordered the tires from Murray and set a appointment for Monday, this was on a Thursday. Friday morning I had a tennis ball sized blister on a tire, called Murray they took me in ASAP. Had my new tires on and back on the road in no time. Keep in mind this is a commercial work vehicle not some little import. Less then a week later I destroyed a rear view mirror on the same vehicle. They ordered the new mirror and once it came in I was in and out in 30 minutes. This after I changed my appointment AND they were short staffed. Cant say enough good things about them.

Best automotive business around! Morgan, Dennis, and all the employees are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend them. My husband and I have taken our cars there for years and only trust them. They are honest and good hearted people that care about you and your car. We really consider them family because we love them that much! We have taken our cars to other places in the past and have been "ripped" off so many times on things that didnt need to be done. Because Im a female, other automotive places use that to their advantage because I know nothing about cars of course lol! Thats why I only trust Murray automotive with our cars. Great mechanics are hard to come by these days so we feel very blessed to have such great mechanics!

I went to Murray automotive on the recommendation of a friend. I was very happy with their service. I was a "walk in" with the "check engine" light on. They fit me. What most impressed me is that they didnt rush to judgement particularly with expensive diagnostic tests. They suggested a potential inexpensive fix and asked if I minded returning at a later date if it didnt work. It did work and I didnt have to return. However, I do intend to continue to use Murray Automotive when I do need to have my vehicle worked on. I would recommend Murray Automotive to my friends and family.

These guys are great. I had work done at a local chain shop and they led me to believe I had a serious problem that would keep us from driving back to NC. I called Murrays, explained the situation and asked if they could take a look. Less than an hour later, they had carefully looked into things and found a minor oversight by the previous mechanic. It was cleared up and all is good. Attitude, courtesy, responsiveness, listening skills, mechanical understanding ... all top notch. Next time were here and need auto work - Ill go to them first. Very pleasurable experience. I took my truck to get reinspected Bc I didnt trust the first location. It was confirmed I needed front brake pads. They were installed in less than a hour Morgan worked with me on the price got the truck passed and on my way I went. Also had a flat tire repair done as well. The best part I didnt have to waste my whole day waiting. This is definitely my new mechanic shop for all my vehicles.

I have been a customer of Murray Automotive for years and a recent incident confirmed why. We brought our car to another service station for an inspection sticker. It was rejected due to an estimated $1500.00 in necessary repairs. We brought the car to Murray Automotive where they found 1 repair needed for less than $300.00. TRUST THESE GUYS! I found them via internet after my car transmission broke in the middle of the road. Totally random hook up, and they are GREAT, fast, and fair in replacing my transmission. Special shout out to Denis for keeping me up to date, and answering a hundred questions I had about the repair. They are not conveniently located, but SO WORTH IT! I am a new loyal customer!
