I have been taking my Mustang and another (non-Ford) vehicle to Thomassen for annual inspections and routine maintenance for several years. Working with the staff in the service department is always pleasant. They are sincere in wanting to help their customers and they get their vehicles in and serviced and returned quickly. If there is something that needs repairs, they explain it so that you can understand and they give you options. Charges have always been reasonable and I have never been charged for something I didnt need. The only problem i have with Thomassen is getting past the other divisions of the dealership. I have lost count of how many times I have called the main number during regular business hours and it just rings and rings and no one answers. Other times, my calls have been answered, but by a rude man who obviously has more important things -in his mind- than to respond pleasantly to a customer request for transfer to the service department. My guess is that the rude man who sometimes answers my calls is a new car salesman. The new car salesmen at Thomassen are awful. When you go in for service, you are almost always confronted by one practically before you get out of your car. You tell the first one that you are there for the service dept and hopefully he will leave you alone, but the message doesnt spread to the others. If you decide to hang around and wait for your car to be serviced, I recommend leaving the grounds, take a short walk into town and grab a bite to eat at Grandmas Diner or Needful Things on Washington St. Otherwise, you will remain under the watchful eyes of the new car salesmen, ready to pounce if you even glance toward a shiny new car on the lot. As far as service goes, I highly recommend Thomassen Ford. They do great work and are great people. Its just too bad they have to be a part of the Thomassen Dealership, I would give them 5 stars if they were a service-only location.

Many years ago (before these three Google postings I am reading about were even posted), I dropped off a Merc (bought in Mich.) for some brake work. As I left the lot, I noticed the brakes were terrible so as I turned into the road to circle back and have them recheck things when I heard a series of thunks and clunks and what sounded like parts just banging around and/or falling on to the road (I could actually hear things falling off!). I got about 100 feet before stopping and I was really POd. I looked at the tires; all OK so I looked under the vehicle and there hanging by the brake lines were the rear calipers that someone forgot to mount on the brake system before putting the tires back on. Its been many years and I am hoping the ones that were there are long gone. Im not inspired by their web site (looks like the old BBS boards from way back when modems were being used). Any way, I can hope (or I may be a glutton for pain too). Now I have a Ford (from Conn.) and Im going to roll the dice again with them. Stay tuned.

I have owned Ford products for nearly 40 years, this is by far the worst dealer out there. Two vehicles went in, each with minor problems, both came out worse than they went in. One had a broken suspension bolt discovered by the next dealer I went to, Thomasson greased the broken bolt, they put grease on both sides of the break! The other vehicle went in and all they did was "reprogram" the computer, now the SYNC does not work. No quality assurance, no attention to detail, no care to keep the costumers car clean, no communication, no service, just a bunch of WV trolls taking your money. Pathetic! Stay away. This dealership needs to go away.

I will not be taking my Ford here for service ever again. It took an hour and 20 minutes for a simple oil change that I had an appointment scheduled for. The angry old man running the service department had no reason for the delay and never came to say it would be an extra wait time until I approached him about the serious delay. He did indicate that he had to wait at his most recent doctors appointment though. Customer service is seriously lacking.

Thomassen Ford is a family owned car dealership and service center in Charles Town WV. I purchased a Ford Escape from TF several years ago and the experience was easy and pleasant. I did my research on the vehicle and their price it seemed was below market value so I had no hesitation in making the purchase. I dont own the Escape anymore, but continue to return to TF for inspections, service, and oil changes.

The sales people and service personnel are very helpful and professional. The older gentleman at the service counter provided excellent customer service and Bill is great. We stopped going to 340 Oil and Lube in Charles Town because they didnt tighten the oil pan on my car and oil leaked on my driveway when I got home.

Have all my auto servicing done here. Have purchased 4 cars and one truck from Bill Thomassen and they treat me very well or should I say outstanding. If you are thinking about buying a new Ford product I would recommend Thomassen Ford very highly.
