A bunch of rude bureaucrats. Every time there is a problem it takes them months to fix and they want to blame you for not knowing "postal policy" crappy attitudes with the drivers.... Poor. Ive lived in 3 states and a list of municipalities and never had these problems before. Lazy authorituan wanna be losers. Also you dont get to lecture people about what they dont know when it took the Post Office 5 hour long phone calls just to start an investigation.... And to find out on the last call that all you had to do was go to the post office and ask them to fix it. Then they want to trivialize your problems while being condescending to your face. Un-real... Especially for an organization that survives off the bulk mail they recklessly cram into your mail-box. When congress tried to pass a bill to controll bulk mail back around 2012. It was killed because of objections from the post office......but hey that 150$ shredder and the tax money I waste on them is what... A contribution to postal delivery in rural underserved areas...? Its certiantly not a privelage. I may expect mail in the mailbox twice a year if that, the rest of the time its just work with a shredder. Why should I have any respect whatsoever for these people when on top of all of they they refuse to even appear to be plesant. Disgusting, literally...

Have used at least 5 years, regularly for employers business, corporate accont, priority overnight, personal, special stamps, invitations, packages, pick-ups when mail cant be delivered, greeting cards, supplies. Staff is always cordial, efficient, proactive, dedicated. They check the line of customers to suggest faster alternatives and assist where special attention is required. Help customers find packaging. Know all the alternatives to save money on shipping, based on timing, distance, weight of package, type of service required. Never a glum face, snippy or indiferent attitude. Never talking with each other when a customer needs assistance. Know the new technology and are able to help with it. Work as a team to maximize customer service, filling in if one attendant is tied up with a long transaction. Dont slam door in your face at closing time. Only problem is tricky left turn from driving east on Sunset Hills, quick entry on right turn puts you right next to handicap spots and cars backing out. Lots of traffic both ways on the road. Customers/driver are careful and courteous make up for it. Not aware of any accidents - just patience required. Customers help each other - always a pleasant, sometimes fun errand.

Very dissapointed with registered mail delivery. Was supposed to get a letter five days ago on a Thursday and the mail man knocked when I couldnt get to the door and it was bad weather outside. No big deal. Ill take some time off work and have it redelivered. I went online and scheduled a redelivery. Never came. Waited a day to be sure. Called the main number and rescheduled it again with instruction to leave time to answer. Today was the day it was supposed to be delivered and I went to personally ask the mailman if he had it. He said that he did not have it. The local office phone number has now been busy for over thirty minutes and theyre about to close becasue my mail comes an hour before they close. Bad service.

On site staff is lazy and lies. Two separate experiences where I asked for my package to be set aside so i could pick it up myself. Once they said okay no problem and when I got there they said oops we put it on the truck anyways. The second time they lied and said it was already on the truck and would be delivered by a certain time. Needless to say an hour after the said time, package still didnt show up and when I called they said oh it just got put on the truck. Staff is very unhelpful and too lazy to follow through on anything That is promised. The actual delivery people are the only redeeming aspect of the post office. Throughly disappointed with this location.

The posted phone number is wrong, and the phone no given out on registered mail cards is generic numer. When u try and get the robo reply msg to give u a direct dial number to location it ALSO gives you the wrong number! I think i finally found a working ph numer about 5th down in ranked responses to a Google query, so not just a slam at USPS but also bad data in a Google review. It would help if the postal employee filling out form could use legible, human-readable handwriting so i could look item up online, but I literally could not clearly identify package routing number until I called a working ph number and gave my name and address!

I had an appointment to process my passport renewal. I had to wait a week for this appointment and I was turned away by an employee telling me they only process new applications. They said the only way to renew it is by submitting it through the mail with a check. I wasnt even able to talk to the person I had an appointment with. Mail has not been delivered to my building in Vantage Hill even ONE time this week, even though I have seen the mailman in the neighborhood. I tried to call the post office to see what was going on, and like others have experienced, its not an actual working phone number, just gives a busy signal all day. Ive been a fan of the USPS forever, but if this is the kind of non-service theyre going to give, they deserve to go out of business.

Asked a question on the phone got an audible sigh. Waited 20 mins on hold so I decided to drive there. Still on hold by the time I arrived, asked same question got an in person audible sigh. Screw these people and move somewhere else if you can. Got a notice my box was full so they held my mail. Total of 6 6x9 envelopes was all that was returned. Who knows how much mail was thrown away. DO NOT TRUST WITH YOU MAIL.

I called at 11:57am today (Friday) and Trish answered the phone. She immediately texted the mail carrier to let them know to leave the (perishable) box that had been sitting in the condo mailbox for packages) at my door since the key to that box was not working. In addition she plans to ask the carrier if the lock is broken so she can order a replacement. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They used to have a number system that was very efficient and everyone liked it as the post office is so small for the amount of growth Reston has undergone. Well, guess what..they did away with the number system over a year ago and its back to chaos and confustion again. Why would you break something that was working?? where is the logic in that??

Most of the lobby staff is very friendly and helpful; Many times theyve stayed late to help me get a package and they always carry on pleasant conversations! However... If you call and someone named "David" answers the phone, you might as well hang up to save yourself frustration and time as he is rude and unhelpful consistently..
