A few days ago my original movers backed out on me! Here I was in Northern NJ in need of getting my Richmond, VA apartment packed up and my things moved to NJ. I started to look for movers on Thumbtack and Craigslist for a Saturday morning move. No one was available to do a long distance move with such little notice. My lease ends on June 30 so I frantically contacted some of my Richmond friends to find out if anyone knew of any movers. One of my friends had just received a flyer for Army Strong Movers who amongst other things specializes in NJ and NYC moves! I stepped out on faith and called the number immediately. I got Jonathan and he immediately assured me that they could help me no matter what. He suggested an in the week move and said they could even come out and do it the very next day! I explained that major life changes had me move suddenly from Richmond, VA back to my home state of New Jersey and that I was super stressed that my original movers never got back to me after I had booked them a month in advance and that because of my work schedule there was no way I could be there in person to oversee the move! Jonathan once again assured me that I was in good hands and that Army Strong Movers was the kind of company that does amazing packing, moving, and storage (if need be) and they would quote me a fair price. He told me to leave the moving to them and to not stress. We scheduled the move for 48 hours from the date of our phone conversation. I had a close friend let them into my apartment early Thursday morning and she oversaw the entire move. She text and called me with updates every step of the way and told me these were the most professional movers she had ever seen! She said they packed and moved swiftly. They were there for 4 hours and never dragged their feet like some movers do in hopes of charging an unsuspecting customer more money! That evening Jonathan contacted me with a list of all the materials they used, the weight of my furniture, and a very reasonable quote to move it all the way to Northern NJ! I received my things early Saturday morning and got to see first hand what great movers Army Strong are! Life has been so crazy lately but I am so glad that my friend had that Army Strong Movers flyer! For your local Richmond, VA and LONG DISTANCE moves please contact this company! You will not find more professional, affordable, honest, and hard working movers. Thank you Army Strong Movers for helping me out during my time of need! So happy to have my entire life in one state….New Jersey!

I called this company on a Tuesday and booked for a Thursday. The owner assured me that the movers would be available at 6am to do the move. Thursday comes and I wake up at 5am to prepare for the move and no one showed up. I called repeatedly before someone called back to say that I didnt confirm. I spoke with the owner later that evening and arranged a move for Sunday. I woke up again at 5am again to prepare for the move. The movers were supposed to arrive at 6am. The man who was supposed to wrap the couches and tables didnt come until almost 8:30, after I had to call their office twice. The man who was the wrapper stated that they were delayed and wouldnt be available until 12:30. I had to work so I asked my mother to stay at my apartment for me. She missed church and they still didnt arrive until 3:15. They took over 7.5 hours to move my things from my apartment to the storage and my moms house and despite being over 9 hours late to come and move my belongings, still had the nerve to charge me over $1900!!! I will never use this company again and urge that unless you hit the lottery, you shouldnt either. The work was good but the fact that the company was over 9 hours late, the price shouldve been cut in half.

This was my first time using a moving company to move to I was beyond nervous, I found a flyer under my door that said "Army Strong Movers" just when I was about to make moving arrangements. So I called and Mike came out that same day to assess my condo, it wasnt going to be nearly as expensive as i thought it would be so I set a date. Mike actually came with the guys to make sure everything got rolling smoothly. Mitch and Rich did an amazing job handling and taking care of my furniture, it took my 2 brothers, uncle and dad 3 days to move me in, Army Strong moved me from an 18th floor condo to a 12th floor loft in 5 hrs, I even told my sister about them and she is planning to call Mike when she is ready to move too. They finish 30 mins early than estimated, they were nice, funny, very respectful, they knew it was my first time using a moving service and the made it an amazing experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Call them!!! I highly recommend.

The guys who helped me move from Williamsburg to my new apartment in Richmond, they finished packing an hour earlier than I anticipated and I was sitting comfy with all my boxes moved into my new apartment a couple hours earlier than expected. Im not sure what else I can say about a move, but the one thing that set them apart was personality. The entire experience was enjoyable -- they were super kind and kept throwing jokes left and right. They even called one of my sculptures dope. Made my day. On top of all this, they gave me helpful tips on cool places in the neighborhood and gave me a history lesson of the city. Ive never felt more welcome. Five stars and will always be using for my future moves in and out of Richmond. You should, too.

Over the years I have moved from Ny to NC and back to VA. I have dealt with movers that damaged furniture, lost items, and were two hours late. Army Strong was not in that category AT ALL! They are always available for questions as they came up, and treated my belongings as if they were their own. I strongly recommend that you call if you are in need of moving services. Long distance and across town.... they cover it all. I felt like I was around people that I knew which made the move go very smooth, I would give more stars if I could! They are locally owned and have connections for storage if you may need it after the move is complete. There is NO reason to go anywhere else.

A very Happy customer!!! I contacted Army Strong Movers after speaking with several moving companies in the Virginia area, which wanted to charge me several hundred dollars for a moving job. I looked else where and found Army Strong Movers. They came out gave me an estimate and moved my home furnishings in 3 hours less then the time I was given by other movers which cost me less money then other companies. Thank you Army Strong Movers and staff for all your hard work and dedication!!! I will recommend them to anyone.
