I must first start by saying that I didnt know that Starving Student movers outsourced their contracts. I was moving a two bedroom apartment in the same complex and I was so totally disappointed with the movers. First mistake was the supervisor called me and started to go over the contract and told me I was responsible for the travel charge and I had to send her the contract to prove that I didnt. The two movers arrived one was old and one was a part time worker (attitude). Not professional at all!! It was very hot and they were not prepared at all i.e.; water, towels. Everything was disassembled and ready to go. Several times they were seen taken one small item out the door at one at a time. After about two hours and they still had not finished. I asked what the problem they said "its hot". I STOPPED THEM!! It continually got worst as we got to the new place. I ended calling Student Movers and the Moving company very upset only to be asked if I offered them some water!!!! I felt every once of rage go through my body.The moving company supervisor came to the new place and she even realized they were not doing their job. I still had to move more stuff from my old place and put up things that were left in a disarray at the new place. With that being said because of their carelessness and unprofessionalism they had ants on the truck that got into my stuff, my Eastern Star glass ice bucket is broken, my sofa was torn, my bed was damaged and the ceiling and walls of my new place have to be repainted. PLEASE STAY AWAY THEY ARE HORRIBLE!! Would NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I would not recommend this company for your move. If you chose to use them, attempt to move several days before you actually need to. They are not organized with their scheduling. They double booked and put us on hold, then later on completely cancelled on us. Theres a reason why they are cheap. When attempting to get the situation resolved, no one would answer their phone. You can only contact the corporate office, who then transfers you to a regional manager who does not keep track of their employees or their schedules/current whereabouts. Turns out, in our situation, the employees quit...that should tell you something either about the company itself or the integrity of the people they hire. The employees who supposedly quit, also called us directly and said they would do it on the side if we paid them directly. They did offer to come out the next morning, but there is no way I would trust them at this point. Buyer beware.

Horrible experience moving our apartment only 10 minutes down the road. The two movers showed up without any equipment other than a truck, and said that they had left everything in Fredericksburg. We tried to call customer service (and the woman who had been contracted by Starving Students to send these men) with no answer. As we only had one day of overlap between places, we had no choice but to go ahead with the move. It took 6 hours and almost $800 to move the large pieces of furniture (no boxes), and they required our help to do everything. When, a few hours in, we were finally able to get ahold of customer service, they were extremely rude (I was called a "spoiled brat" and told to "get over my entitlement") when I explained my frustration of how slow the move was going. Never again.

AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE! Seriously, these guys where the must unprofessional outfit I have ever encountered. First, one mover was constantly texting on his phone and the other was heard saying "We have to drag this out as long as possible." Second, they scraped two pieces of furniture and dented another. Third, they brought in a leaking container that left stains on the carpet. Overall, they were just awful. I dont write reviews so the fact that I took the time to write this is a testament to how poor their service was. Again, please AVOID them if at all possible.

I had the same experince as the rest of the reviews broken furniture long drawn out job that should of been done it 2 hrs took 5 hrs. Worst service ever.DO NOT USE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They took a huge chunk out of my wall. Customer service said i should of bought insurance cuz they damaged my wall. What kind of answer js that. I am filing a co.plaont against them to the bbc

The guys didnt show up and then trying to get through to someone with answers took multiple phone calls. Then I get flipped crap from the regional director. Dont walk, run away from this moving. HORRIBLE!!!!
