Posting this for my mother who had a terrible experience with this lying horrible rude excuse of a moving company. I hope they go out of business immediately: I do not recommend this moving company! If I had a choice, I would have given them zero stars. Janis, the person who answers the phone, was rude and difficult to talk to throughout our entire experience. She never offered to pre-assess our job, which resulted in a disastrous move, as the packing and moving crews were grossly understaffed. The packers worked slowly, only completing about half of the job in 8 hours. The next day, the moving crew was astonished that they had to finish the packing before they could start moving. They were pleasant and hard working, but really overwhelmed, resulting in over $2,000 of damages to our furniture and belongings. After the move, Janis claimed that we had refused the free pre-assessment. Scott, the owner, would not come to the phone. Both of them showed very little care for the customer. To top it off, they never paid us their portion of the insurance claim. This companys treatment of their customers is inexcusable. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing this company. Of the many reviews I have since read, only three are positive, and one of those three was written by Janis herself! (Its near the bottom of the reviews on this page.)

We would NOT use this moving company again!! They are dishonest with their payment methods. They tried to charge us double on their travel time & also miscalculated the itemized total. When we questioned both issues with the office, we were told we tipped them $150.00, according to their copy, which we had not done! When the same crew delivered to the new house, they said there was "confusion" and "an office error due to a new girl" and the $150.00 was actually for shrink wrap that was used, which there was no sign of! They were brazen enough to try to get us to pay again for their travel time that we had already prepaid. Very conniving! Another concern is that the loading day check was made payable to the company (Regency) and on delivery day we were given a paper to make the check for that day payable to the owner Scott (they probably do not claim half of the moving job)

I was delighted when the company told me that they would be able to move me on very short notice. However, their service was all but satisfactory. The men forgot their tools and used outrageous ways to get my furniture apart rather than just call someone at the office to bring some over. Upon delivering my stuff (a different day than pickup) the same men AGAIN forgot to bring tools and insist that the visibly unstable bunk-bed they had put together would be completely safe to sleep on. The movers left me with a laundry list of missing pieces that I am still hunting down at the local hardware store. Additionally, I have had to buy numerous tools to fix the furniture that was not assembled correctly. Needless to say I will never use this company again and I urge anyone looking for a reliable mover to never use Regency Moving & Storage.

Worst moving experience in my life. I have moved many times and this experience was awful. I was told someone would come out to estimate how many loaders to send & how long it would take. When I called back to see when someone would come, I was told there was no need. Movers arrived on time and that is the nicest thing I can say. They loaded an entire room of boxes they were told not to load which cost me time and money. After the truck was loaded, they took lunch - apparently I had to pay for that time too. They took 4 hours longer to move less stuff than I had at my last move which took only 6 hours. The loaders spoke rudely and inappropriately to me several times in front of friends. I would definitely NOT recommend this moving company to anyone

I had requested quotes at several movers. I was impressed by the friendliness and knowledge when the rep from Regency called. Also they had the best price (3 movers for the hourly rate of 2 everywhere else). Ron, Darrell and Kevin arrived on time. They were friendly, efficient, professional and busted it out! They took the time to carefully wrap all of our furniture but still completed the move in the promised time. I was impressed by their experience and professionalism. My wife and I will definitely recommend Regency to everyone we know and use them for all future moves.

BEWARE of this company... bait and switch tactics... hourly rate was better than other companies but hours charged were clearly jacked up... paid over $3,000 for a local move... paid less than that on a move from MD and they packed us and broke down and setup furniture... was given estimate for storage, the actual cost of storage was 5 times the estimate... One of their crew appeared to be a homeless person hired off the street... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT PAYING AN OUTRAGEOUS BILL!!!

Was given an estimate of 10 hours and told that estimator is never more than one hour off the mark. Move took 15 hours and was not even completed. I did not want to pay the men that night but the office manager assured me that the owner would call to compensate me. Took two weeks and repeated messages to get a return call and was basically told that nothing could be done. Now I have to pay to have the move completed. Would never use again. Happy to email estimate and complete bill of sale to anyone.

I moved over the holidays, which can be stressful enough. The guys showed up on time, they were very professional and could not have made my move any easier. All items were wrapped and carefully moved from one location to the other. I will definitely use Regency Moving again.
