Cinthya at the Short Pump location was great. My hair looks amazing. However I give the front desk one star. They sound like I am taking their valuable time whenever I have called in and seem disinterested. I had an issue with the way the botanical therapy was done at this location and called to speak to them. The manager seemed more concerned with taking the stylists side and writing me off as unknowing than truly wanting to listen and correct the situation. In fact it was her tone of voice and attitude that persuaded me to write this review and look for a different Aveda Salon. Im in a customer service role myself. I get it. The customer isnt always right. That still doesnt mean that genuine concern shouldnt be expressed. She was the MANAGER and could EASILY have offered a free treatment upon returning instead of "checking with her stylist" first. Salon Del Sol - it would have cost MAYBE $15 in a service to keep this off social media and create a regular client. You dropped the ball.

I had been to the Three Chopt location several times, and had a great experience. I needed a specialty updo for an event in fall/winter 2007, but was short on time, and decided to try the Short Pump location since it was close to work. I made an appointment for my lunch hour, three days in advance. On the date of my appointment, I called to confirm the time, and was told that my appointment was never scheduled. The stylists were booked, and there was no way for them to see me on such "short notice." I spoke to the manager, who was apologetic, but half-heartedly. There was no compensation offered. How does a business "lose" your appointment? Ive never had that happen with any other hairdresser-- and this was for an important event, not just an everyday trim. The experience left me in tears, and I had to make do with my roommate and a curling iron-- not even close to the results I would have gladly paid for. Extremely unprofessional!

What a great experience! Bria sat down, asked me about the cut I wanted and actually listened to me, I knew we were on the same page. Then came the scalp massage, shampoo and hand massage. HEAVEN! As Bria cut my hair she explained to her apprentice what she was doing and why it was important. I knew my haircut was going to be perfect before she was even halfway through and even quietly let out a little "yay". My hair was perfect when Bria was finished. I scheduled my next appointment before leaving the salon and cannot wait to go back for another cut and hi lights!!! Thank you Bria!!!

Err.. So, if youre like me- you spend a whole lot of time trying to find that salon/stylist you love and trust and know will do what you request of them when you bring in 3 pictures of the cut you want. This place isnt it, but I guess thats if you only want to pay about $40. Possibly the masters will cut your hair into shape- but mind you I got the vibe this place is very safe and wont really venture toward edgey, sexy cuts- just very vanilla for the Short Pump crowd. Id suggest Envy Salon on Stuart and Patterson!!

Lia Baldwin is amazing! I have long, unruly curls. She can cut my hair so that it lays to perfection without me having to style it, which is great because Im very active and dont have a lot of time to put into styling. She is super knowledgeable about color, including eye brows (which are tricky) and always helps me select the best make up colors. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I visit Bridgette and she is AWESOME. Always does exactly what I ask her too and she has a great eye, too. I have never received so many compliments in my life. I usually get my hair highlighted (the blonder the better), cut, and styled by her every 8-10 weeks. You will catch me every now and then popping in for Bridgette to dry style my hair.

I went to Salon del Sol (Short Pump) to see Lia to do my hair for a friends wedding. She did an amazing job! She was extremely accommodating to my schedule and finished a very intricate style in under an hour. The atmosphere was very relaxing and I would advise anyone who is in need of a stylist to go see Lia at SDS.

I had a fabulous experience with Noel. I knew we had a challenge on our hands and she was very patient in listening to my wants and concerns. In the end she did a fabulous job and was even nice enough to offer to fix anything I didnt like in a few days. I will definitely return to this establishment!

This salon is not only overpriced, but their service sucks too! They treat their clients like dog crap and all of them act as though they have a stick up their butt! Ive only had one decent experience there and that was at the Midlothian location. Do NOt go to the Short Pump one!
