I love Red Door Spa in Short Pump, their service is always on point, they are very professional and friendly. I especially LOVE their no-kids policy for patrons getting services, yes they will cut your childs hair however this is a spa and NOT a place for children to "hang around" while mommy gets her hair colored or nails done (this is no daycare for you moms griping about it in the other ratings I see here). I go here to relax, unwind, to be pampered, and I pay a premium for the serenity. The very last thing I want to experience here is shrieking children crawling around on the floor and misbehaving while mom or dad is occupied, get a sitter. I also truly appreciate their promptness for service, my time is very valuable. I love that my appointment will start on or before the scheduled time, and is never late. For those ladies giving negative ratings for being 5-10 min late, there is a schedule and if they accommodated every late patron that throws off the whole day. Your lateness is a ripple effect and causes the next persons appointment to start late and so forth and so on, its not like the stylist can cut short the time for your nail polish or hair trim or facial. It would be discourteous to their clientele to accommodate your being tardy, perhaps this class of place isnt for you ladies. Thank you Red Door Spa for your awesomeness, Ayanna and Katie are wonderdul. I am a loyal fan, appreciate your excellence, and even the fine details of great coffee with a Biscoff go unnoticed.

I absolutely LOVE the red door spa for manicures/pedicures, and massages. Sara is the BEST when it comes to anything that has to do with nails! Shes fabulous, friendly, funny, and she knows her stuff! Ive never been disappointed every since I started seeing her! Shes an expert! I also get my massages with Laura, shes amazing!!!! I got a deep tissue massage with her recently and she did a great job! Sometimes when I get really stressed I tend to get back pain flair ups and shes GREAT at getting rid of it for me! I totally recommend her! HOWEVER...I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR HAIR DONE HERE! I got my hair cut and colored here with highlights, and I specifically told them I wanted a deep brown color with light brown highlights. When they finished....my hair was practically BLONDE I was SO DISAPPOINTED and my hair became so so so unhealthy afterwards! My hair was also uneven when they cut it.

This was the worst experience I have ever had! I was to have my eyebrows cleaned up! I was in the room less than 5 min. I came out and I was charged 36.00! I was in shock. I have traveled a lot and had my brows done at Dillards, Heidies, Anthonys, and on and on . At Dillards in Colorad I was in the room a good 20 min. and my eyebrows looked like a professional did them. I was not charged even half that amount. The job itself at Red Door was not even complete. I had to walk around all day with my eyes red! Never had that before. An hour or two, but all day. Then an hour ago I am getting ready for bed and I take a look to see how the redness is doing and I see there were strays left under each eye PLUS around the bridge of my nose. I really think a refund is in order. I had to give one star or I could not post. So I will give it for cleanliness.

Horrid Horrid experience!! I was a fool to give them a second chance. First time i scheduled an appointment for a hair service - found out they had put me down for another kind of hair appointment and refused to entertain since it would have taken 15 min. longer! Alisha, their customer service manager apologized for my terrible experience. Second time, I scheduled for one kind of manicure - turns out they had put me down for another kind. And, since i was 6 min. late to the appt,due to unexpected traffic, the front desk offered to downgrade my appointment or rudely asked me to come back another time!! Its not that they are super crowded at any point - one would expect a decent customer service especially with their high price tag! The worst experience Ive ever had!

I was surprised to read negative reviews. I have been coming here for the past couple of years for pedis & would not go anywhere else. I have tried several other salons and no one can match the technicians & staff here. They are always respectful, professional & attentive. I always leave with happy feet & a great pedi. Above all, it is always impeccably clean. This is the only spa that I have found in Richmond where they actually sterilize the nail tools - individually steri-packed in an autoclave! All other files/emory boards etc are single use only. I also find that the lavatories & relaxation room are clean & pleasant. To me, it is worth the slightly higher price for the level of service and the peace of mind.

All I can say is that I can find a better place to spend $125 for a facial! Terrible customer service, never had my name down right, never put me on schedule after calling in and went in for facial and they did not have me down...which I called and set appointment a week prior! Canceled appointments on me... had wrong contact info.....still donot know how they got that and well rude attitude when calling in and checking out. Gave them two chances as well as my husband and issues with both scheduled appointments. I go to be pampered not spend an hour trying to fix there problems...

I was very unhappy that when I tried to book my spa day, the message was "all operators are busy please book online." For the money you spend for a red door day, I expect full princess treatment, being put on hold, being told to use on on line booking is an insult. What next - virtual pedicures? If my father hadnt bought me a red door day that would have been enough for me to book a day with groupons and "miss all the pampering" (LOL) you get at red door, free water - what a treat, nice spas in northern states offer much more luxury for the money.

A disappointing experience even though my hair turned out well colored and straight as there was so much upselling going on. I ended up spending twice what I had planned for (and initially booked) as the employees smooth-talked me into getting more for "value". I had red burns on my face after an unasked-for eyebrow contour and Keratin Express blowout. Save your money and go elsewhere. This is a relaxing experience only for the employees as you leave them richer each time you go there.

I paid $215 for the deep tissue massage with Kevin! Best massage ever. I was hesitant about having a man give me a massage but he made me feel very comfortable. Before he pulled me back, i waited in the reflexology room. My goodness it was like heaven! I loved that no cell phones or tablets were allowed outside the locker room. Ive never been so happy to give someone a $50 tip. I am planned on going back in January for my boyfriend and I birthday. Request kevin! he is the best
