HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I used to love going here before I had my baby. The owner used to do my hair beautifully every time! Had a c-section and couldnt get there for months! Finally went back today and I washed my hair before and it got tangled. The stylist told me she couldnt untangle it. It was too much work. So I told her I could do it. Meanwhile my baby is waiting with my mom. I had to have it done for the next day.... An appreciation service for my grandmother. I got there at around 1:30..... There were 3 in front of me so I waited patiently for my turn. Once my turn came, the stylist took my hair out of the wet bun and proceeded to wash it. After she washed it, she told me she didnt think she could untangle it. I told her give me a comb and I would do it (assuming she would blow it out when I was done) so I got to work. About two hours and a few arm cramps later, I was done. I went back and waited in one of the waiting chairs. Also two other people were there that came after me BUT they had shorter and thinner hair than mine so theirs could be done quicker. Then the stryist finally walked over to me and told me its nothing else she can do to my hair. It was after 5. SHE HAD TIME TO BLOW IT OUT!!!!! I was sooooooo upset. Wasted my whole day in there just to be treated like trash at the end! But to top it off, they didnt care and said they were tired! Lost all respect for the owner and her business! She has a very arrogant and disrespectful attitude toward customers. Told me it was my fault that she didnt have time to finish it and that I may not have understood the stylist because they dont speak a lot of English. Also She needs to hire more people to work on SATURDAY, so everyone doesnt have to wait so long. I will never return there. Plus I believe they were talking about me in Spanish while I was combing my hair out. I know very little Spanish but I know enough of the words to put them together. But I was very disappointed in how I was treated today. I felt like I had the worse hair ever and like I was treated like crap. Very disappointed. Shes done my hair plenty of times and Ill never go back. Then had the nerve to charge me for wetting my hair and putting in a deep conditioning treatment that I didnt even sit under the dryer to get. Well anyway. I loved it before this horrible experience

Marianela and her staff are on their game with the work they do. Im a loyal costumer to her since 2010. Her prices are reasonable and she cares for her clients and their hair. Ive been with her for 6 years and will continue going there. To the comment before this one by Portia Smith-A: I was a client on the day of your meltdown. The way your hair was tangled I highly doubt anyone but a scissor could have resolved that issue. You looked like you hadnt combed that hair for your entire 9 months of pregnancy and I even overheard you jokingly say you hadnt. It took you well over 3 hours to detangle that bush and it was clear that you left yourself in agonizing pain after mowing through that thing. You was rude and unrealistic in your expectations. They told warned you well before hand that it was going to take you too long, but you insisted in staying and detangling that hair. By the time you were done it was closing time. You also ripped a bunch of your hair out while detangling it. You left a mountain of hair on the floor...it was insane! I was tempted to take a picture of it, create a meme and share it on facebook. Thats how crazy it was. Also, I would over hear your mom begging you to leave with the baby and you refused. You and only you forced them to wait. If you knew you hadnt brushed your hair in 9 months and you had an upcoming event, a smart person would plan weeeellll ahead. I think Marianela and her staff are the lucky ones that youre not going back there. Besides other costumers dont want to sit and witness rude people like yourself have meltdowns when all they trying to do is just get their hair done and go. Slowing down the day for the other costumers is quite selfish. Myself and the other costumers were appalled by your drama that day. Ps Im bilingual and I didnt hear those ladies speak anything negative about you or anyone on that day.

I pretty much had the same experience described below. I had called in advance asking for the price of everything. I was told $35 blowout, $10 deep condition, and $5 trim-- that all adds up to $50. When I show up I was told $65... I believe it was because as she put it "a lot of hair" Than after she washes it (mind you I am natural so my hair is curly and of course with curls your hair is going to be tangled when wet) she decides to say "Im going to have to add another $5 because I didnt know your hair was going to be like this". So I ended up paying $70 total and yes my hair turned out beautiful but I left feeling ashamed of my hair, as if I had the worst hair she ever had to deal with because of the comments, her kept adding up the price TWICE, and her sounding as if she was huffing and puffing over me like she didnt want to do my hair. As a hairstylist you would think they know everyone has different textures and lengths of hair and if there was added charges because of either the texture, fullness, and/or length of a persons hair, that should be posted and said upfront. I still ended up giving her a tip because I felt she may have needed the money if she needs to keep adding to the cost. It didnt make that much sense to me because she acted like my hair was going to be an inconvenience and thats why she needed to charge more when I was in and out in less than 2 hours. This was my first time here and unfortunately my last. A customer should feel welcomed but as for me I did not feel that way.

I arrived at the store with a bad hair day. I had never been there. She greeted me very well and put me in the chair. My hair is super thick and full and she took care of me. He made sure I was comfortable and I loved my hair. She was willing to go further to take care of my needs! We will definitely go back here !! Llegué a la tienda con un mal día de pelo. Yo nunca había estado allí. Ella me saludó muy bien y me puso en la silla. Mi pelo es súper grueso y lleno y ella se ocupó de mí. Se aseguró de que estaba cómodo y me encantó mi pelo. Ella estaba dispuesta a ir más allá para cuidar de mis necesidades! Sin duda volveremos aquí !!

I actually stumbled upon Marianelas Salon by accident. Four years ago, I was on my way to another salon in the mall but when I arrived, no one greeted me so I took a seat... still no one spoke to me, even after me sitting there for 10-15 minutes so I got up and left -devestated because I needed my hair done. As I strolled passed Burlington to head home, I walked passed Marianelas salon. I instantly fell in love with the prices and fell more in love with the service -from their customer service to the finished product of my hair. I absolutely LOVE Marianelas Salon and have been loyal ever since! I am so glad that that other salon treated me like crap or I never would have found Marianela <3
