I dont normally write reviews, but I cant go with this being unsaid. This place is the most unprofessional hair salon Ive ever been too. They did >>>irreversible<<<< damage to my hair Hair Cuttery sent my fragile hair into shock - twice. These employees are FRESH out of beauty school, and it looks like they learned nothing. I spent 3 freakin years growing out my hair and dealing with blond tips and brown roots. I *finally* grew it out long enough. I explained to the girl 3 FREAKING TIMES my hair is fragile to make sure she understood me.. "DONT COLOR MY ROOTS, I JUST WANT MY ENDS DYED TO MATCH WITH MY NATURAL ROOTS. DONT COLOR MY ROOTS." What the hell does she do? You guessed it. She immediately started applying dye to my roots and I stopped her and asked, "What the hell are you doing?" She replied, "oh, im just making sure it matches all together.. " uh, yeah thats why youre supposed to be coloring my ends my natural brown color. And if that was their policy or whatever, at least SAY SOMETHING Needless to say, she did the worst thing imaginable to my hair by dying it a hideous blonde-greenish color that CERTAINLY did not match my warm-brown roots!!!! That was honestly the worst possible thing she could have done to my hair health. I spent so long trying to get it back to healthy condition and she destroyed it in a blink of an eye. I bawled my eyes out in my car for 20-25 mins. And alas, the horror story continues. I went back a week later and took a risk to have it "fixed" by a manager. Called ahead to reserve time with a manager, said it was fine come on it at 5 o clock. I arrived at my appointed schedule time and manager said she was TOO BUSY to KEEP an APPOINTMENT and to COME BACK TOMORROW for the other manager! Stupidly came back the next day for the other manager and SHE TOO said she was TOO BUSY. (again, this is with an APPOINTMENT!) But said another girl would do it. Thinking that this girl might be her "Star Employee" I agreed to let her do my hair She dyes the hair TOO DARK and not only that but there is BLONDE SECTIONS SHE MISSED and THE MANAGER SAID IT WAS THE SUNSET !!!!??? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME, I was completely insulted with her thinking I was that Dumb 3 months later using all the expensive hair products, my hair is still falling out from the shock and has reverted to the blonde/green/brown color and is still absolutely hideous every time I look in the mirror. This place did irreversible damage and looks like Ill be shaving my head this week. This is a unforgivable nightmare. Run. Run as far as you can.

To be honest, I went here after having a mishap with my first hair place and the lady who had helped me was awesome. I was so grateful and fully intended on going back. So afew months later...i decided i might try here to schedule an updo...figure, why not try them at least? I called and they told me since i dont have a regular hair stylist that i would have to walk in THAT MORNING...sorry to break it to them but most people WILL NOT just "Walk in" for an updo appointment (especially if on a time crunch)...i have an event that evening and cant afford just risking it. So i will be taking my business elsewhere.

Wait times and just doing what ever! The last time I went I was told 30 minutes when there was NO ONE waiting and another stylist was eating lunch. In addition, I ask every time for a cut and to actually work on my hair, Ive been wearing it long for some time, but every time I explain that, the stylist "of the day" does whatever. Cant really smile back when all the hair I wanted on my head is on the floor. If a trim like that Ill go pay a barber 1/2 what Im paying here. I still have yet to find any stylist in Hampton Roads that will actually cut my hair to my specifications.

I went here about a week ago to get my hair done for my sisters wedding. I showed the lady what i wanted done to my hair and she seems confident on what I want so I trusted it. She starts on my hair putting in the blonde and she does only blonde highlights when it was supposed to be full on blonde and she starts putting brown in my hair. I am completely lost and pissed on what she did to my hair. Definately not going back!

After our experience with Great Clips, we found this place just down the road. My children had their hair trimmed here and they absolutely loved it so go here when their hair needed trimming. We visited here 5 times already and each lady did a fabulous job. The best time to go is during week days, preferably late afternoon or early morning. The place opens at 9 am and on July 4th. Staff are awesome.

I visited hc today and I was a walk- in. to have my hair trimmed. I didnt wait long. The staff were very professional, my hair looks very healthy (thanks meisha) and accommodating to me by letting me use their rear exit so I could get to Wal-Mart quicker. I felt great about my visit today everything went well. Very nice ladies.

Reference wait time.... was told it would be about 30 mins.. well their 30 is more like an hour and a half. They should be more respectful keeping their clients informed of delays and problems causing such a wait. Oh and when I came in there was only 2 people in front of me.

HORRIBLE :( I wear my hair in a wedge and the girl chopped a bunch of short layers in it and angled it in at my face, not at all what I wanted and she talked the whole time about how they hadnt had any business, BEWARE

Messed up my hair really bad. Did not listen to what I wanted for hair count and shaved off all my hair. They made me feel like a subhuman by cutting me off when I talked and not listening to what I had to say
