Was not happy with the outcome of this service. No problem with the gentlemen that came to our home . Did get our heat going . Explained to us we needed a Hi Limit switch he did not have one on hand . Needed to get one from the warehouse but since it was Saturday it was closed. Explained to us that the switch may last hours, a day or a week but it needed to be replaced before complete failure. Understandable. Told us Monday morning they would call us about replacing the switch. Unfortunately it broke within eight hours. Im not upset about that because he told us that might happen. The part Im upset about is we called them early Monday morning 8am was told no one was in yet .It was early. I understand so we called back at 9:45 am explained to them what had happen. They in returned said they were having a 10:00 meeting afterwards someone would call us back. We heard nothing from them. So we called another company in Monday evening to replace the switch. Which they had to overnight it .Which was little costly on top of the 135.00 it cost us from American Mechanical. We finally got heat back on Tuesday evening. I called American Mechanical Wednesday morning at 10:00am . Spoke to a lady Lou, explained to her what took place asked her why we did not hear back from her company. She then said they called Tuesday and left a message informing they had the part. I was home and did not get a call in my 58 degrees home. We were suppose to hear from them Monday. We did call twice and didnt hear a word back . To me that is not Good Business or professional. I Had asked for some compensation back to off set the total cost of needing another company to restore our heat . They reply. We did nothing wrong and therefor no monies would be funded. NICE COMPANY... . .

Bottom line: Very pleased with the service and continuity of care this company provides. This would be separate reviews, however, the system is not permitting this action. Also a shout out for Stephanie who has provided calm in the storm of this evolution. Update 1 Sep 2016: Bobby M and Tyronne S installed my new system yesterday. They were on time, kept me informed on what was being installed and how it worked. They have set the standard for the level of service i should expect. The Trane System is great! I had a problem with the condensation leaking through the drywall on the return line and they determined that putting additional insulation and the drywall installer could take additional measures to ensure the line never touches the drywall - Save me $600 on the spot. Update: 26 Aug 2016: Mark and Joe came over to look at the problem with the missing insulation and resulting growth on the closet wall. They determined that a line set was needed. By the end of the visit, I purchased a new system to be installed next week. My current system was 10+ years old and the old refrigerant - time to update and get some energy savings. Sean S is a great tech. He troubleshot the whole system and determined the fault. He took the time to show me how and what he was testing. Unfortunately, the fix was beyond his scope at the time and were awaiting a warranty authorization to complete the work. I look forward to Sean returning and completing the repair.

Thanks to Joe B. and American Mechanical to save the day to get my heat system up and running again during the aftermath of Helenas snow storm. My heat unit was blowing cold for the last two days and I called American Mechanical. They said they could get someone out Tuesday. Joe B. contacted me around 8:30am would be out and on time. He was and he performed all the maintenance checks. He first got heat on for me temporarily until we could discuss what needed to be fixed. He gave me several options and explain what was best. He gave an alternative way to make payments on this much needed upgrade. He was pleasant and very understanding and time to think about what I needed to do without being pressured. He has explained everything to me as things are being fixed with assurance that the solution I chose was something that would be a permanent fix and not patching. I appreciated all the time he took to make it work and most of all the fact he has more clients yet to see. I provided some hot coffee and soup for this very cold day. If your looking for the right company I found it and the right person is Joe B.- fair, up front and caring for you and the job he had to do. This wasnt a one hour fix so grateful that this worked out today. Pat

Power suddenly quit going to my second floor AC unit. Outside unit received power just fine. Based on the reviews on google, I elected to call them to take care of it. Was quoted an $85 diagnostic fee to determine the issue. While the issue was being determined it was discovered that the circuit breaker was a little loose, and simply needed to be pressed harder. Once this was done, the problem was fixed. I was charged an additional $42 in addition to the $85 diagnostic fee to fix my problem. After calling the company and telling them my concern that the extra $42 seemed a little much, I was told that the "fixing" fee minimum is different than the diagnostic fee, and the minimum to fix is $42. Additionally, although minor, my power box is behind a small plastic shelving unit. It was moved by the technician to access the panel, yet not put back before he left. Honestly, the technician was nice, but the cost for the small work that was done was excessive, hence the 3 out of 5 stars. I would have been more than happy with the $85 diagnostic fee, because the problem was fixed during the diagnosis, even if it was fixed in the first 3 minutes of him arriving. $127 to press hard on a circuit breaker is a bit much.

First and foremost, they need to establish a good communication channel between their technicians and the accounting department. Second, I am the paying costumer, I respect you as a person, so in return we expect the same. Screaming doesnt help with your accounting books manage itself. Third, always show professionalism, my tenants were disrespected when one of their technicians showed up to fix a leak. This is just a summary of what needs to be improved in American Mechanical Inc. We kept getting bills from this company from work thats been done months ago and paid for in full. We spent $4,000 in this company to rely on their experts to fix the problem, yet they created more problems. Furthermore, dont do a job without a proper authorization, and train your technicians to handle proper business and produce proper documents. Overall, I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. First impression is the most important, in which they totally messed up. And for the future customers, just a tip, always ask for a reciept on the job site, and keep it for your records. Always double-check the job and the price, and write everything down when you can, whos the technician, the date, day, who you spoke with to set the appointment.
