Please look closely at the reviews! Many fake one review people with glowing reviews. Very few legitimate customer reviews. BEWARE! The cheap and dirty: This company sits on Uniteds reputation. The reality, you are completely in their hands on local moves. United CANNOT and will not assist if anything goes wrong. THEY DO NOT EVER ANSWER AFTER HOURS EVEN WHEN YOU ARE FORCED INTO AN "OVERTIME" WEEKEND MOVE! The dispatcher option is completely bogus. I was actually asked to cancel doctors appointments to accommodate their busy schedule. This was an actual conversation. So yeah, more awesome sauce! My real estate agent told me that the movers were afraid to come and requested my dad to be there. The office and management and owner are completely unprofessional and obvious money grabbers. Period. The packer Kate, packed my things so carefully. In fact I think Ive only found one cracked glass of so many fragile items. In the end, she did an incredible job. I felt disrespected completely by the office. They made no effort to disguise their crappy attitude and hostility towards me that was generated by my dad. They were so horrendous. Poisonous. Completely unprofessional. Its sad that they would involve themselves on that low level like that into a dysfunctional family relationship. The movers Corey and Cole were so great. I was left to move alone with a negative checking account balance and they made me feel so comfortable and positive and honestly worry free when they got there. I bought an iced tea on moving day on the way back to my new home with couch cushion change, as a stress reliever. The movers were complete professionals. I was really embarrassed to not have any cash to reward their incredible efforts on moving me and their complete professionalism. This company is LUCKY to have any quality people working for them at all. I mean the people actually WORKING. Not the office Bit##es. I filled out a review and requested the owner to call, which he has not. Im not surprised though since they only respond to positive Google reviews, which is a sign of an extremely WEAK management presence. Im so disappointed. The whole point of hiring people to help you move is to alleviate stress, not be the source of it!

Horrible, when this move originally happened they came in a packed and just started throwing things inboxes. Then I top of it, why should I have to freaking supervision your stupidity when your suppose to be doing your job correct. This was our first move ever done and I would prefer next time to do it ourselves again since God forbid if things are carried and packed with care but it wouldnt matter to them because its not their items to pack so honestly they could careless. Now when the movers came they were all hoorah to get the truck loaded and our driver was a very nice and polite person. The men came and started working and then started to slow down after a few hours and complaining about how they might not be able to fit things after the fact they never remembered after we told them there was stuff in the back yard. My favorite was when time was being crunched and truck had amount of room, we had to end up getting rid of items. But our favorite is our sons twin bed that was not even a year old, they broke and freaking lied. Even the driver told them to report it and be honest especially because he saw the bed before hand since we did a walk through of the items before loading and the bed was is perfect condition. They obviously took the bed and drug it because the left back leg was snapped off and the right front leg was too, that was our 5 yr olds bed and then wont even cover their stupidity. So now we had to take more money to cover a bed these knobs couldnt get right and lied about. Oh also our sounds bar front cover, the plastic on the inside is cracked and pieces broke off, they ruined my daughters first birthday decorations, photos left on the garage floor and paper work and our coat hook, it had iron hooks and they manage it rip off two of the damn hooks. Worst business ever and honestly disappointed that the military trust them to do a any work to move people. Not a good company unless you like people breaking your items.

The service provided by the Brooks team was very poor and subpar. Poor planning by Brooks management caused them to promise what they could not deliver. A one day delivery was promised even after we questioned this promise. Their lack of planning caused us to either unpack 100+ boxes ourselves over a weekend or live with limited access to our beds, kitchen, living room and public condo areas. The management team set up their moving team to fail by only sending three movers and then one of things movers leaving for a personal emergency at noon...even with three movers, it was not possible to finish in a day. While the moving team was set up to fail, their attitudes at the end of the day was unacceptable. After telling one moved to stop throwing trash and empty boxes off a stairwell balcony over a public walkway, the movers chose to tell at my wife; sarcasm when asking to sign paperwork; not completing cleanup until I "asked" them to finish getting the trash out ( "Are you asking me or telling me to remove the boxes?" ); refusing to unload boxes in the floor when directed (and in compliance with the contract); and then leaving their trash both in the house (drink cup) and in the community drive (nails & wood chunks from the lift vans). In the unscheduled second day of work, we asked them to remove the remaining boxes and packing trash as we unpacked the 100+ boxes in our own over the weekend. They did an admirable job moving the trash. The general manager did come out and apologize for the troubles the previous Friday. While this was nice, it did not make up for the frustration and aggravation of their employees or our time doing their work for them. A poor performance...I cant recommend using this company.

Ok, heres the honest run down on Brooks Moving Company /UnitedVan Lines...they are awesome ! I recently made a move from Virginia to Atlanta. I scheduled estimates from a few different companies. Mike from United came out to my apt in Virginia and gave me an estimate. Even though his estimate was a few hundred dollars higher than the others , I decided to go with him and heres why. He gave me an " estimate not to exceed binder". If youre moving , try to go this route. He explained to me all the extra charges I could incur without one. (A shuttle fee, an elevator fee, if they had to hire extra help etc). He told me( and I researched ) signing an estimate without a binder is like signing a blank check. My move could never exceed the price of the binder ... it could be less though. I called the other moving company to see if they would offer a binder ... they would not. So, with that and other things I made my decision. Brooks it was ! And, I couldnt be happier! From Shanna in the office , to the two guys who loaded up my truck in Virginia ( in a little over an hr) to the one guy who delivered and unloaded my things by himself in Atlanta...it was the smoothest process ever ! They stayed in touch with me every step of the way , I got my furniture early , they were flexible , accommodating and professional. All my furniture was well taken care of. My move even ended up being a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the estimate. If youre looking for an interstate mover and in doubt , please dont look any further , youve found the best. Go with Brooks. You wont be disappointed!
