Ive twice taken my ol 1995 Toyota Corolla to them for service. The first time was for a leak in the exhaust flex pipe. Being somewhat mechanically-curious (Ill stay away from saying inclined), I thought about fixing it myself, until I saw the nice amount of rust on the bolts on the exhaust system. The guys at the shop cut out the bad flex pipe and welded in a new one, and its been good from then on. They had the car in and out quickly. Second time was due to more rust-related issues (brake hard lines rotted through). The techs there were great, and it was a looooong job with cutting and flaring all the new lines (5 in all, brake and fuel) and even had to drop the tank to get a good connection. Got the car back and paid what I though to be a fair price for the labor. Then I heard a small clunk noise for the next day. I called the shop and told them and they said I could bring it by and theyll have a look at it. Once I brought it in, they brought me back into the service area and had me explain my concern, put it up on the lift, and saw a loose hose clamp. They tightened it back up, and was back on my way without charge. I suppose the labor charge can be a little high compared to some, but Im more than happy to pay a little more knowing that they stand behind their repairs and wont cut corners in order to hack their way through a job. Id recommend them!

I appeared to have an antifreeze leak based upon a large fluid stain on my driveway. The mechanic had to let the engine cool down before inspecting it. Because this would take some time and I lived fairly close, I was given a ride home. Japanese Automasters inspected the engine, cleaned up any overfill on the engine, and encountered no leakage. Since my wife was at work, they even picked me up and brought me back to the shop. Price for work done was very fair. I believe I have found my new repair shop for future work. I have a friend who has been coming here for years. Based upon this visit and a previous repair, I recommend them. Follow up to review: After bringing the car home, I noticed the leak came back 2 days later. A subsequent return visit revealed it to be a water pump leak. The water pump had been replaced only 19 months and 8,000 miles ago by Kings Grant Auto in Virginia Beach who when I called them, told me they only warranty for 12 months and that not only would they not give me a discount for the repair but were going to charge me more because their rates had gone up by $5.00 an hour. When I told Japanese Auto Masters how long ago the pump had been changed, they made a generous adjustment to their estimate and offered a two year warranty. Just another example of them being a customer based company.

I always have a good experience at the Japanese Auto Masters. I like this company because they always thoroughly quiz me on whatever difficult problem I may have. They solve the problem, correct it, and they do it so thoroughly that Ive never have to take it back for a "do over." Ive been a customer for over ten years. and my car is over 15 years old. They are extremely honest and in many cases have told me that items, others would have suggested I need done right away, have urged me to wait and look at the problem the next time or the following time. Today my repairs were going to take almost all day. I said no problem Ill UBER myself home. They said not a problem well have one of our office people drive you home and pick you back up. You got to love them. Note: this may not be available to all customers. Probably just old seniors with a 15 year old cars.

I brought my daughters car in for a tire rotation, wheel balance and front end alignment. I love the digital maintenance advisory that they send via email with pictures and recommendations on the work that should be done. Theres never any real pressure to do the work. In fact that is my only complaint this time. When I was on the phone with Joe he did mention that the cabin air filter needed to be replaced but he didnt mention that the water pump was leaking and the transmission fluid should be flushed and replaced. I wouldve had the work done while the car was already there. I didnt see that it needed this work until my daughter had already picked up her car and I check my email later that night. Now were taking the car back again to get the work done. No worries, the work will get done before she has to drive back to college. I wouldnt take it anywhere else!

Japanese Auto Masters was recommended by a friend. I needed my tranny fluid flushed and changed, but knew it required a specific type. David assured me that what they use is compatible with Toyotas WS ATF. I was concerned as my experience with auto shops is not the best. But, given my friends satisfaction with their service, I requested the tranny fluid and brake fluid be flushed and changed and the front and rear differential fluid and transfer fluid be changed. They did a superb job. No issues at all with the truck and the price was very fair. They also called me to say that I needed to replace my wiper blades and cabin filter. I have them the go-ahead. I really like these folks! Friendly, courteous, trustworthy, and fair! I couldnt ask for more! I enthusiastically recommend Japanese Auto Masters for any service needs. You wont be disappointed.

After going to many mechanics over the years, we finally found a shop that we really trust. Weve been going there over six years. They consistently do a thorough job. They routinely check out the major car systems when we take our cars in and they keep a careful record of all the repairs done--its almost like a medical record for your car. Thats very unlike other places where you wonder if they really noticed anything unusual or problematic and if you dont remember whats been done, then good luck! Not so with JAM. They are organized and systematic. They always prioritize repairs and tell us whats most important and what can wait. That way we can plan our finances in order to keep our cars running well. We havent had any scary surprises and have kept our cars well-maintained by sticking with JAM. We wont go anywhere else.

Service was beyond horrible. Bought my car in for inspection, oil change (bought my own oil and oil filter.) at first I bought wrong oil filter so I went back and gave the right one. He tried to charge me for an oil filter. Left my car there for four days work still not done. Eventually just had to take the car and leave. 350 dollars just to tel me what I already knew. Also how are you japanese auto masters if you cant even turn CEL off. Told me needed new catalytic converters but cant even fix it. I feel like they only respect customers that are old and service dude tried to tell me reason why they dont have it done yet cause they close in Saturday and he called Friday. Checked my phone and that was a lie. Why lie just be honest. This shop just wants money. Only thing nice was the way he spoke.
