Apparently, this company recently merged with Venture Bros. and changed their business plan. They now charge per item moved. I was asked for a verbal inventory when I booked the move; it was not made clear that if an item was not on the inventory, the gentlemen who were doing the labor would have to call the office to get a price PER ITEM in order to put it on the truck. My assumption was that I was paying them $1350 to move all my familys belongings. That assumption was incorrect. It was $1350 to move MOST of my familys belongings. This resulted in a $75 Penske rental the next day, and several other trips back and forth with our personal vehicles. In addition to all that, this "inventory" system created confusion for the workers. Small things that were not on the inventory list got moved, and big things on the list did not. I dont blame the workers, there was a lot of stuff to move. I blame the managers for coming up with an unbelievably idiotic system. The workers were absolutely exceptional, and did a fine job moving what they did. They were courteous, respectful, and extremely hard workers. They deserve raises. The managers probably wont do that, however, since those ding dongs were the ones that came up with that business plan. Two thumbs down. Waaaaaay down. I highly recommend seeking other movers.

So I am the type of guy that thinks he can do everything by himself. I have moved myself out of plenty of dorms and apartments in my day and so how much harder could a three bedroom house be? To appease the wifey, I took Mover Dudes up on there free on site estimate, thinking this will prove to her we should move on our own. Jordan, the estimator, showed up on time, went through the house and at no time was pushy towards using their services. To top it off he even gave me helpful ideas on how to go about moving myself. The next surprise came with a pretty affordable price (I thought I could still do it for cheaper). But because we were busy and to make my wife happy we went with them. Wow! was I glad we did! The three Mover Dudes worked non stop for 6+ hours making use of every inch of space in the truck (Tetris Masters). The way they secured our fragile materials and they way they maneuvered even our tricky stairway, was something I could have never done. These guys were the real deal. And when it came down to the final price, it was exactly what they estimated. So the wife is occasionally right, but I was the one who insisted on raising the tip. Maybe next time well even use them for packing. Thanks Mover Dudes! We will tell everyone we know!

I always look at reviews before doing anything. Mover dudes had some great reviews on here and on Yelp so I gave them a try. There were a few small issues: no phone call 48 hours before to get the arrival timeframe, no call right before arrival, they didnt have any tools (though I was paying them to take apart our beds), they didnt bring their own drinks (a request for one right after they arrived). They are things I can overlook. But some bigger things were really a problem: The whole move took 11 hours and our house was only 1500 square feet and we were only moving 30 miles away. They said they were supposed to have a third person but he didnt show, which accounts for the length. Also, they forgot to bring the pegs for our bed to our new house so they couldnt put the bed together and we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. There were multiple items that they took apart to move but didnt put back together. They left multiple moving blankets and bands behind. I have a nine month old, and the length of this move was unexpected and very difficult. Their price was good though, so we are just cutting our losses. I do not recommend.

I would recommend Mover Dudes to anyone for any size move. Dwayne and the crew; Roland, Brooks and Damien were a pleasure to work with on our familys move within Winchester. Between the massive down pouring rain and the follow up to finish up on a Sunday for no extra charge, we could not have been happier with our experience. When a couple of minor, trivial issues arrived (as they always do in any move) Roland was quick to offer and provide a great solution and fix. I used Mover Dudes because of recommendations from friends and the way Jeff handled the estimate and scheduling. I couldn’t be more pleased with the Mover Dudes, Matt, Junior, and the two other young men - I think they were Randy and Mitchell but don’t quite remember their names. Anyway, their teamwork was wonderful to experience. They are definitely all people- persons. They were friendly, funny, polite and so helpful. Matt did a fine job of supervising the packing. I have recommended Mover Dudes to several people, including the two realtors involved in my sale. All the timing has been just perfect .
