If i could rate them less than 1 star, believe me i would. I have had nothing but problems with this place. it started off with a more than 5 hour wait to get the car i wanted, which they wouldnt work with me on coming down on the price to fit my needs (you can definitely get a better deal in the city or elsewhere etc) but then it went straight downhill from there. i purchased the car on a friday, so i waited until that monday to call and add the car onto my insurance, sure enough i find that all my paperwork was wrong besides my name. they had someone elses address etc on the paperwork for my car. so i thought no big deal, Im a patient person and i understand people make mistakes and i understand the customer service business, so i called in and they told me theyd have it taken care of right away. so as i waited a few days have gone by then i get phone calls about coming in to redo the paperwork, me working a lot in the city and living 20 minutes away from the dealership (but the dealership being out of the way on my commute home) that created a problem. but i had one person on the phone telling me its no problem i couldnt make it in theyd just send me the paperwork to refill out and send back in to them, while another person calls me not too long afterwards and says they cant wait i have to come in (as if i dont have stuff to do) so i had to go out of my way to go in there and sign a few papers, which i had to say something about so they gave me a detail and tank of gas which i had to come back that weekend to get. but as time went on i started getting phone calls from the bank i had my old car loan through (the car i traded in towards this new car i bought) they kept telling me i was late on payments on my loan but i kept telling them i traded the car in but they said i was responsible for the payments until a pay-off was done by malloy, i said ok let me call them because this is affecting my credit. i called finance multiple times, even left messages and got no response from them. so at this point that really pissed me off, so i called and asked to speak to a manager. all i could get through to was sales manager or the repair manager. so i spoke to the sales manager and turns out they still hadnt paid off my car loan (this being 2 months after i traded the car in!) so not only was it not paid off but i was 2 months behind on car payments on a car that i didnt even own and my credit was being ruined because of that. so after they said they "took care of it" about a week or so later i receive another phone call saying my car loan hasnt been paid off, at this point i lost all patience with this company and called very upset, turns out they need my account information to do a pay-off for my old car. all the info i had given them at the time of the trade in, and apparently they had taken care of it a week before this, my question is how did they take care of it if they needed all the information to do a pay-off? hmmm, so i give them the information and they sent in the check to do the pay-off. after all that trouble, they didnt offer to do anything for me for my time and patience and their mess up! so then i got to thinking, ya know Ive had this car almost 3 months now and havent made a payment. i was told i would receive paper work in the mail to fill out for my monthly payments, i never received that, i was told it was sent to me weeks ago but to just call some number and set everything up that way instead. so now Im wondering when i call that number and set up the payment plan will i have to back-pay for the last 3 months i havent been paying? if so i will have to go in and deal with this mess even more with the time i dont have. i hope this review is read by the owner(s) or someone high up because something clearly needs to be done about this and with the finance and accounting offices. i will never buy a car from malloy again, i will never recommend them to anyone and i will be telling them this story about how my credit got affected and how horrible and big of a headache my experience was with them.

When reading the reviews, be alerted that this dealership was sold in late summer, early fall 2014. Any review for Kern Toyota will most likely be positive. Make sure to read any reviews for 2015 and 2016 before going to Malloy. We have been faithful customers of Kern Toyota and two years ago were saddened when Malloy bought them out. We always had excellent buying experiences (purchasing 11 vehicles over the years) and service department experiences! We purchased Daves truck in May of 2014 and my Highlander in June 2014. Very shortly after this things began to change. Familiar faces were gone and replaced with new ones. Only one person remains familiar in the service department and each time I hope I get to deal with Ann. Each experience without her has been bad with rude, uncaring people. Everything from you dont have an appointment today, you are not in our system, did you purchase a vehicle here and then today this. Appointment confirmation email sent. Check in at appointment time to be told they would take truck back at 1:00. I said my appt is at 12:30. Girl rudely says well our techs are at lunch until 1:00 and that was supposed to have been changed in the system months ago! Really no apology or sorry to inconvenience you. Even talked to General Manager and he could have cared less. Just said well our sales have been up the last six months. Told him I love my Toyotas but we also love Hondas and Chevys so our next purchases will be from Stutzman and Miller Honda! Goodbye Malloy, no wonder your service staff with the exception of one Kern person are inconsiderate and rude, because they dont fall far from the General Manager unprofessional tree! Had another woman comment while waiting how rude they were to her as well!

My husband and I were in Malloy Toyota this past week, looking for a used vehicle within our budget...we had the opportunity to work with a couple of really wonderful men. Mr.Linn ( internet sales manager) and Mr. Tom Shields ( Toyota salesman) Both of these gentlemen were fantastic. Toyota couldnt give me a complete pay off for my trade-in...and I couldnt afford to have the roll-over, as we were leaving a man sitting at a desk, ask my husband what we were gonna do with a vehicle that had 120000 miles on it? my husband replied ..drive it. Now, mind you, our trade in was a 2010 TOYOTA Prius !!! He (the man behind the desk...who , we found out later..is named Scott) continued to talk very loudly and tell us, our car was no good, it had too many miles on it and we NEEDED to take the deal we were offered !!! it ended up... a yelling match between my husband and Scott .. as I was walking out the door , in tears !!! The salesman ( Tom) followed me out the door, to apologize, for the 3rd time. I felt bad for Tom, as he had nothing to do with the situation that unfolded. There were other customers in the showroom, who heard everything being said....Scott down grading my Prius , very un-professionally !! I did receive a phone call the next day from the sales manager Michael Helms apologizing about the day before. But...as far as I am concerned...I will never recommend this dealership to any of my family or friends !!! at least not as long as "Scott" is working there !! And I will let everyone I know how I was treated there.!!! With that all said and done....I still love Toyota...and will purchase another one....Just not at this dealership....which is very sad, because I always try (if possible ) to buy locally !!!
