I brought my car in on 6/21/17 to have a tire repaired, it had a very slow leak. They took my car in, raised the hood (???), ran off a repair estimate of $694.00 for replacement tires, bulbs and other "recommendations". Jason and one of the other "mechanics" proceeded to tell me that my tire COULD NOT be repaired, I would HAVE to replace it, as it was split on the sidewall. Jason even spoke to my husband on the phone, telling my husband that the tire was beyond repair and had to be replaced, insisting on a set of Toyo tires that they had and could put them on right away. Myself and my husband both told them no, pull the car back out, we arent doing that. Both men were absolutely insistent that I could not drive safely with that tire. THEY FLAT OUT LIED! I took my car to C.C. Rosen, they removed the tire, found a nail in it, repaired it and sent me on my way. (Without raising the hood, go figure!!) I had them check the sidewall for cracks or leaks, and there wasnt any such thing. Shame on Jason, shame on the other mechanic, (I didnt get his name), and shame on Firestone for allowing their costumer representatives to strong arm costumers the way that they did. We were shopping for new tires, and had we been treated honestly we probably would have bought from this store. Now I absolutely will not. The first time that I ever dealt with them they charged me for a stripped lug bolt, and now this. I will not ever deal with this store again, and if whoever reads this has any common sense, you wont either. (I have to give a star in order to post the review)

If zero stars was an option. Thats what I would give this location! I have been going to this Firestone for years because I was forced to purchase tires there after my inspection, which gave me free tire rotation for a the life of my tires. Sounds good, right. Ohhhhh No! Every time I took my car there for routine procedures - I had to take it back the next day because it was making a strange noise. I thought I would give the company the benefit of the doubt so I brought my car back because there are still good and honest people out there, right? A few months later, I needed another oil change, fluid flush, and tire rotation. Well, I get my car back and it will not stop revving. Mind you, this is a Honda with fairly low miles. The next day, they said they replaced the thermostat, but the car continued to rev. When I went back the following day and tried to explain there was still something wrong. The managers response was "All manual cars do this". It gets better.... I took my car to another mechanic - who told me they NEVER replaced the thermostat!! I couldnt believe it. If they would have only been honest with me... Now they have lost my business and I will NEVER go to this Firestone again!

Had the BEST experience with this place. Couldnt believe how great the service was. The guy (Tommy) who helped me was so honest about what needed to be fixed and what didnt. He wasnt trying to take my money or repair things that didnt really need it. Just such a great experience overall. Tommy was such a great help and knew exactly what he was doing. He seemed very knowledgable and was an excellent source of info - he was so patient with all of my questions. I really appreciated the fact that these guys could tell me what may need to be fixed in the near future, but didnt try to fail my inspection just to get money from me now. Ive had that happen in the past and its so frustrating. I trust that this place is worried more about you having a safe, working vehicle as opposed to making a couple extra dollars for their own benefit. Still a business, but an honest one for sure. I was so impressed with Firestone - would recommend it to anyone! Shocked by some of the bad reviews (although waiting for your oil to be changed isnt necessarily a good reason to give 1 star...patience is a virtue...) Thanks again!!!

I took my 95 sedan in for an oil change having seen an advertisement for 15 dollars off a high mileage oil change. First off, I made an appointment, but still had to wait 2 hours. For an oil change? That isnt normal. But, I got my car and rolled down the road. Everything is fine, right? WRONG! Im rolling down market street and my car cuts off. It just dies. After much effort I finally get my car to restart, but now the check engine light is on and the car wont idle properly. My car has only 100K miles on it and has never cut out on me or popped a check engine light. It seems logical to assume that the car was tampered with my the shop in an effort to fleece me for more money. Oddly enough, it sounds like other people have had the same issue recently. Im taking my car to my home mechanic, if I can make it there and explain the situation. If something has been tampered with on the vehicle, I plan on filing suit against this shop. Wish me luck. Bottom Line: DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR ANY AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR OR SERVICE. EVER.

My daughter who is a senior at JMU took her car in to be inspected. The car was rejected and Jordan, her service advisor gave her an estimate for work that the car would have to have before it would pass inspection. The estimate was for $741.06. They suggested that the car was unsafe to drive and that the work was required by them before it could pass inspection. She brought the car home and I had a trusted mechanic go over the car. He replaced the front brakes and rotors and inspected it for $185.00. Their estimate for that was 296.00. They also required bushings for $320.00 before it would pass inspection and suggested alignment for another $84.99. I would not go back to them if it was free. They prey on college kids, especially females. It has become a great lesson for my daughter. I hope that others are forewarned by our experience ! I tried to post this with a "no stars" rating but was unable to post until I gave them a "one star "rating.

This should really be no stars. Took my car in to get inspected and told them the wiring on my headlights needed to be replaced. They found a bunch of expensive stuff that needed to be replaced and then forgot to fix the wiring on of the headlights. After paying $600 I got in my car to find out they had left the door unlocked and one of my headlights was still out. So they passed me on the state inspection with a dead headlight. They obviously were more worried about stuff that made them money instead of what I specifically asked them to do. So after pointing this out to the idiots they told me they were gonna need another day to do a simple wiring job. Came in the next day and once again my car was unlocked and this time my car didnt even start. They had to help me jump it and now refuse to even give me a new battery. I wouldnt wish these mechanics on my worst enemy.
