This is a terrible place for mothers with little children and its full of grumpy employees. Today was the first time I mailed a package with USPS since my previous bad experience in April. After standing in line for quite a while with my two kids, the post office employee that helped me with my package looked at me with a mean face and told me with a very unpleasant tone of voice: "You need to pick up your kids and keep them still, and you need to open that door" (Well, the door was opened; my kids only moved its position about 10 degrees, and my kids didnt do anything bad at all). I felt really upset and I told him "NO. These are a 2-year old and a 4-year old. Do you have a line for mothers with little children so we dont have to stand in line for so long? If you cant accommodate the needs of people like us, then you need to be patient." That employee was not happy with me. Well, last April I mailed two packages and it wasnt any better. I literally stood in line for an entire hour with my two little children while lots of customers passed in front of me in line because the post office employee said he would help people with single items first. So lots of customers that had only one item passed in front of me. Easter time is busy in the post office, but being treated like that with two little ones was very rude.

The staff is intended to make us pay more than needed. After waiting for a tediously long time in the line, the service lady told me that the big stickers I put around the box isnt secure enough and I should buy their tape to make sure the box doesnt open. I was mad that she couldnt use her own tape in handy, but I still bought it because I thought I shouldve known before. Then she went on and asked me whats inside the box, and I told her Im sending sunglasses down to Texas. She said the sunglasses will break 100% on the way there because it is so poorly packed, and if I want to send it, I need to either double box it, or come back at some other time. I felt like that was a huge BS to make me pay extra six dollars for the box, and I didnt want to waste my time in that place again. So I sent it despite the risk, thinking how her and other employees made not even a twitch to help me with small conundrums to leave me feeling humiliated and ignorant. That was obviously my first time sending a package, and I do not wish I have to send anything in that place again.

Sometimes you get a clerk that is quick, helpful, and happy, but most of the time, youre probably going to get the grumpy elderly man with glasses. Hes very slow and inefficient, and thats why the line is usually meandering out the lobby doors. However, you also have to remember that many elderly customers are the same way, and the two of them together is like molasses in winter. I try to remember that the Post Office is suffering many cut backs, and working in an environment like that must take a toll on a persons mood. They are government employees, so pretend youre going to the DMV, and you wont be disappointed. Also be prepared to wait about ten to fifteen minutes in line during high traffic times (lunch, after work, just before closing). If youre unwilling to put up with any of this (and realistically, why should you), the UPS store on Bothell Everett Highway is very good.

The people who complain about the Post Office are no different that the self -important people who complain about the DMV, and they are clueless! Imagine the daily tedium of standing at that counter and assisting hundreds people who want too much, too quickly, at a lower price. I have sold and shipped dozens of EBay items from the Beardslee Blvd USPS faculty in Bothell, WA and have observed hundreds(literally) of transactions take place. I have nothing but respect for those USPS personnel and all of our folks in light blue, for that matter. They are outstanding, even when confronted with a a complex situation or upleasant citizen, and I have seen it first hand many times. You can go to that facility any time of day on any day of the week and it is consistently busy. They have a job to do and they are doing it well. Maybe slow down, show some humanity and cut them some slack!!!

My wife and I patronized this location to mail a defective phone back to Verizon today. The package was prepaid and Verizon recommended getting a delivery acceptance receipt that would prove that the package had been accepted by USPS and is in their care. After grunting for us to move forward, the man at the counter refused to scan the package or create the same acceptance receipt that weve received at multiple other USPS locations. Instead, he insisted that we drop it in the slot and that the other locations "just dont know", whatever that means. Were home now, have entered the tracking number into the website and received a "not found" status. I hope our package is not lost or stolen before it gets scanned as accepted, because Verizon has told us that without a receipt for acceptance, we will be responsible for the full price of the phone. Very poor customer service.

Rudest staff ever. Waited my turn in line and when the desk was clear i walked up. The woman behind the desk continued to do whatever she was doing without acknowledging my presence. I stood there for about a minute and then said hi just to get noticed. The woman looked at me abnd just said "What?" Oh gee, I dont know. Youre at work at a post office, what do you think Im here for? So i gave her my pre-paid package and asked for a receipt, at which time she snapped at me, raising her voice saying "What you need receipt for? You no give me money, I didnt get paid so what you need receipt for?" Well I would like a receipt with my tracking number and confirmation that my package was sent as I was mailing a time sensitive item. Just like i always get at other places. Overall thoroughly unpleasant employee. Lost my patronage.

I could care less about the products sold at this post office, or the condition of the building or parking lot, but what irritates me is the fact that every single time I have to deal with USPS ( especially this location) not one employee knows what theyre talking about. They attempt to blame you for their mistakes with whatever reasons they can so they will not have to deal with the consequences, and the over all experience is just terrible. Ive asked family members who work for USPS (has worked for them for over 21 years) if its normal to have this many issues with this one particular post office and of course there will be with anywhere you go, but no, its not normal. Sorry but the USPS system just sucks. Especially this one.

Rude staff that give inconsistent information. Lost three separate parcels of mine and told me to not to come back after my third visit, also refused to let me speak to the post master during the conflict. After telling me the parcels had been lost in transit between another USPS office no less than ten miles apart, I had to file an investigation with the USPS official customer service, which was the only thing that got them to actively search for my parcels, which was actually there to begin with and not lost like they had said. After finding them, they returned all thee to the sender without even checking the address or calling me. Terrible customer service, avoid if possible.
