I dont use a dry cleaners very often but when I do I go to Northstar. They have been around for decades, are reasonably priced, though they may take a couple of days to get back, but I plan accordingly. The reason for this review is because recently I was taking in a suit for my nephew to get cleaned and my husband asked me to take in his suit pants, too. He mentioned that they had needed cleaning since our sons wedding back in August. It was now April. On the bottom 9 inches of his custom made suit pants was a white filmy substance. I asked him what this was and he told me that it was shoe goo. He had tried to do a temporary fix on his dress shoes the morning of the wedding, which did not work, and inadvertently got the shoe goo on the pant leg. He soaked them after the wedding and let them dry. FOR 8 MONTHS! I thought that it was a lost cause but was very happily surprised when I came back to pick up the pants and they looked perfect! Thank you, Northstar. Paying $2.50 instead of having to pay to have new pants made is awesome!

Had a very nice down featherbed, took it in for cleaning. Northstar had for 3 weeks. When I called the woman on the phone said that they had been busy and were behind on orders.Being it was summer I wasent missing it too much, and when it got to be october I realized it had been there for 3 months,no call. When I finally contacted them they told me it was ready and to come pick it up. Excited to finaly get it back I rushed right over.the woman behind the counter asked for my claim ticket (witch I had ratholled in my cars dash so I wouldent loose it) and I gave it to her. She went to the back of the cleaners and returned whith what I thought was my featherbed. When I removed the plastic wrap I found someones (not fit for the goodwill) comforter, NOT MY FEATHERBED!!! Well, to shorten the story I contacter the owner and he refused to make it right,or that they made any error at all,and it wasent his problem. I would sugest not taking anything of value there.Makes me mad just thinking about it.

Ive been going to Northstar Dry Cleaners for 9 years. While Ive enjoyed the prices, unfortunately the service has dwindled over the past few years. Is tolerating disrespect and inflexibility worth the price? I think not. I work too hard for my money to squander it on businesses that dont value their loyal customers. Moving on...

Ive been getting my clothes cleaned here for about 3 years. Never had a problem. I think the cost has gone up to about $2 an item; still incredible prices. They do not take cards, its cash only (maybe check too - I dont know for sure as I always pay with cash.) Im a customer for life.

Best place ever. Great fast service. There is this one girl with black hair whose name starts with an R or something and she is very nice and does fast service she is very nice and knows ASL for those people who have speaking issues. I really enjoy them. AND THE PRICE IS CHEAP TOO!

Great prices!!! Fast service. Excellent customer service. This place it worth the drive across town. They will have all my dry cleaning business from here out. Note: they are a prepaid service, but they do take cards with a nominal charge. In addition to checks and cash.
