U-Pack has just helped my relocation from Seattle to DC. The entire door-to-door process took twelve calendar days. Consider that we used a truck trailer, which was supposed to be shared with other customers, this time frame is reasonable. For the same price, we might have a dedicated cube only if we have acted earlier. Keep in mind, summer is a busy season for movers. First of all, I would like to say U-Pack is a very decent service provider. Before decided on U-Pack, I have done some research on internet and was scared by the complaints about rip-offs by some small movers. I then chose U-Pack based on its overall high rating, and once again, popular vote is proven correct. The pricing is reasonable; the pick-up and delivery services are timely; and whole process was smooth and easy. The truck drivers on both sides, Seattle and DC, are the most helpful and easy-going guys I have met. It was a wonderful experience to work with them.

We used UPack to move from Seattle to Denver this summer. To sum up, in our experience: * great support over the phone on both ends (WA and CO) * great drivers who drop off and pick up the cubes, flexibility about cube placement despite the strict T&Cs * good communication about delivery dates * useful paperwork - "moving plan", phone numbers of locations at both ends, city permit numbers, tips about packing Moving things across the country is a pretty complex process so I would not schedule my life assuming that everything happens on the dot (looks like most of the bad reviews happen when people are burned by having such expectations).

We had to move our 83-year-old mom from the Seattle area to the Wichita area in October. We had a very pleasant experience with U-Pack. The pods were delivered on the day they promised; they were clean and easy to load. We locked them up when we were done loading and they were delivered to our final destination on the day they were promised. Everything was seamless! I love that you can have a relo-cube delivered "just in case" you need it and if you dont use it, theres no charge! We ordered three cubes and ended up using all three so we were glad we had the option. Thank you, U-Pack, for making this a stress-free experience!

Package arrived actually a few days earlier than expected. When they called us to tell us it was all set we said we were coming the next day and they would leave it out for us. When we came the next day, our cube was all the way in the back on top of another cube. Then when we opened the cube, I would estimate about 50% of the stuff was broken, 1 book shelf, two dressers, other misc items. So yeah, we saved some money instead of getting a uhaul and driving it across the country- but now I have to re-buy a bunch of furniture so how much money did I really save ?

Moved from Seattle to Chicago using the semi option. Loaded up the trailer on the 30th and it arrived in Chicagoland in 4 business days. All the staff that I encountered, from the call center agent who took my reservation, to the staff in Kent, WA to the staff in Des Plaines, IL, were great. My household of goods was in tact without any damage. Follow the packing instructions on their website (pack high and tight, use lots of tie downs, etc.) and you should have a similar experience.

We have used ABF on three separate occasions for large (> 200 lb) shipments and have had nothing but problems. There is no communication from their dispatch office, they have never been on time, and so far all of my packages have arrived damaged. As a small business owner who needs consistency and support the folks at ABF are not up to the task and I would caution anyone from using their services.

U-Pack did a fantastic job helping us move from Seattle to Columbus, OH. Every single employee we talked to was genuine and extremely helpful. My only suggestion is to perfect the bulkhead door process. It was hard to work with and could be improved. I would recommend U-Pack to anyone as they will make your move much easier and economical than you ever thought possible.

Pack your things wisely. Understand that sometimes your goods will arrive a day or two off of what you estimated - if it matters, you can pay extra for an exact arrival date and time. Customer service is excellent, I have used them twice for cross country moves and am using them again next month. Offers terminal to terminal, door to door or a mix. Good people, trustworthy.

The staff over the phone and in person were friendly and thoroughly answered all of our questions and were clear about the process through it all. The move was a little complicated, but Tony, the dispatcher, and the rest of the staff at ABF in Kent were extremely helpful -- ready to work with me to make my move as smooth as possible. All of our belongings(an entire truckload)arrived safely and undamaged. We would recommend them for a long or short move.
