If I can give ZERO stars, I would. I go to this USPS in Oak Harbor and I leave it extremely mad. First off, I was looking for one of those flat rate envelopes, the smaller one, not the standard size, and the guy just looks around his desk area and says "well I dont seem to have any here" and I had to suggest it to him, for him to look somewhere else, his solution, ask the guy next to him... I then proceed to get my packages mailed. He asks if Im paying cash or card. I say card. He then asks for 2 forms IDs! Who carries 2 forms of identification on them (unless your military)??? And after I had provided my 2 forms of identification, he then says, "you need to sign the back of your card". Uuummm NO! On the back of my card instead of signing it, it STATES TO ASK FOR AN ID, so that no one can use my card and copy my signature. His answer, "Im sorry but we cant accept cards that have no signatures on them". I said to him that, dont I need to sign anyways on those machine you swipe the card on?? I have never had so many things go wrong in any post offices I have been to before. All I have to say is that, I will either go into Saars instead or drive off the island for a decent USPS office. And would it kill the associates working behind the desks to at least smile and be pleasant???

This facility is probably the one of the worst examples of social expirementation to reach fruitition. It seems like every person who works here is incapable of carrying out the tasks necessary to complete their "job". Each time we attempt to mail a package internationally, we get different answers (from the same person) regarding which customs form is correct, what wrapping is allowed etc. etc. Each person working the counter has a different interpretation of what works and what doesnt. If you want to waste your time, show up at the Oak Harbor post office. Its a guaranteed circus act. The entire town of Oak Harbor is pretty run down, and their central post office really embodies that statement.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a good review of Oak Harbor Post office. There is one, maybe two helpful people there at most. You can plan on waiting in line most days. I have seen PO employees be very unhelpful on several occasions and simply not put forth the effort to help people. As usual, the government has made it complicated to even mail stuff, so they should train their employees to patiently explain all the forms and strange process to do it. Lastly, I have had lost mail on several occasions - especially checks. Several of my friends have reported the same problem.

This is hands down the WORST Post Office Branch Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Over the course of 3 years I have put in several mail stops for varying different reasons; in person and online. NEVER has my mail been delivered when requested and on one occasion my mail was stopped while gone for nearly 3 months. Upon return it took me 3 separate phone calls and several trips to the branch to get them to deliver my mail again. The employees working the front are okay and the delivery folks arent bad. Their management or lack thereof is absolutely atrocious.

As a business, Im extremely disappointed in the way this post offices employees conduct themselves. I have had several customers upset because their packages were lost, misplaced (in someone elses mailbox) or never even sent! And does this post office work to help rectify the situation or find the package I paid to ship? No. They ignore their customers. Ridiculous is an understatement. And trying to call these people is the WORST! They apparently cant even figure out how to pick up a phone receiver. Not. Happy.

They never answer their phone tried to reach then 10 times on Monday to check on a package that contained a $900.00 iPhone that the USPS tracking system showed delivered , but was not delivered to the correct address on Saturday. Fortunately the person that received the package by mistake was honest enough to take it on their own and delivered it to the correct address Monday evening.

People at the counter were pleasant and accommodating the handful of times i was in there. Anytime i call however its the exact opposite, makes me feel like Im being an inconvenience and i just want to get off the phone as quickly as possible. The people working the counters are the only redeeming quality of this place

Clearly their fingers are broken because they cant manage to pick up the phone. Needed a package halted and tried calling five times no one picked up. Package got kicked back to sender. If there was a negative star Id use that.

Rude, not helpful, wouldnt deliver my packages because I didnt request "rural delivery" - WTF IS THAT ABOUT? Had to pick up my packages and ALL were damaged and had been opened. Most items in packages were damaged.
