Wait in line for over an hour to have the woman handling the passports to tell me their out of film. Maybe hang a note over "passport hours sign" stating you need to bring in photos due to "film is on order". How does film become so low on supply that they run out. Order ahead, check inventory, be proactive! Trip two, come back with photos in hand to wait in line for another 45 minutes. With 30 people in line, a counter woman decides its break time (which is fine but have someone take your spot). Now Im at the front of the line, the woman handling passports says "next" walk up to the window just to hear her say Ill have to wait to process a passport because the other woman is on break and she has to help all people not getting passports, first. This woman has failed at performing her job with any kind of intelligence., the post office has failed with their implemented procedures. Whats worst, DMV or Post Office, Id say they are tied. Heres an idea, hang a note when out of film, have someone actually performing passport duties from 9:00 to 2:00 when sign states this or clearly state break times. Still an inconvenience to customers but better than making them wait for an hour to really inconvenience them. Simple ideas, common sense, still to hard for you, get training. Hate your job, quit and get another but pull your head out!!

If you are in the downtown area please stay away from this location. I ship 10,000 items here at this location and just found out they have been opening packages of mine and stealing items from me. Not only have my shipments not been delivered but packages are going missing more frequently over time. I have recently contacted the local prosecuting attorney and we are moving forward with a case against the location and with packages being tampered with all employees will be facing 25+ years in prison. Hopefully all employees will get what is coming to them. I know that I will not be giving them my volume of packages anymore and I know that in due time USPS will fail. Frank - Money walks BS Talks and Small change rides the bus. Sorry but everyone who is an employee of the USPS postal system will always ride the bus. See you in court. 4. Can Postal Inspectors open mail if they feel it may contain something illegal? First-Class letters and parcels are protected against search and seizure under the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, and, as such, cannot be opened without a search warrant. If there is probable cause to believe the contents of a First-Class letter or parcel violate federal law, Postal Inspectors can obtain a search warrant to open the mail piece.

Ive never had a good customer service experience here! The older lady with short hair always comes off very grumpy. I just left there... After making my way to the front of the line, I moved into the open window to drop off my prepaid packages. I paused for a moment before putting the packages on the counter and then she says "next passport". WTF. I was right there and she has me step aside for the person who had come in just a moment before and he was patiently waiting in line behind at least 2 people. The customer apologized to the people waiting in line and myself. I was just speachless at how I felt I was treated! I said I just needed to drop packages off and then she told me to put them at the end of the counter. I had intended to get some new bins as well, but was so put off by her treatment that I just wanted to leave. For someone whos job is customer service, I am very much disappointed in her behavior and how poorly she represents USPS. Thanks for letting me vent.

I may have had bad experiences at EVERY Post Office EVER! Point is though, its a federal like thing. Suck it up and deal. There are plenty of things to pitch a bi**h about than crap service at a federal type organization. If all yall got time to do is pi** and moan about it then trade me for a day and I can guarantee yall would have plenty of ACCEPTANCE for miserable workers that have been conditioned to be surly over crybaby people who think they are actually important enough for the ppstal workers to be super special nice for who? Boo Hoo, cry me a river. Dont take the ppstal service, or any other neuisancy federal organization for granted. The only thing were guanteed in life is to die. Everything else is moot. Good day ladies and gents!

Thers a freakin cop workin at this place now -- ive only had positive experiences at this post office but this time ther was this high-and-tight haircut, thick stare-down COP guy who is all about searching your media mail HIMSELF if you are a young guy with long hair trying to send your friends new music (me). he acts EXACTLY like a JERK COP. everyone else at this place is totally cool. i feel sorry for them having to work with this thick-neckd tan guy who is staring everything down and taking it upon himself to be as uncool as possible.

What a terrible place... Every single time I need to use a post office, I go here for proximity. Every time, a line that seems to move at the pace of a snail moving through molasses. And now, looking to apply for a passport, they require you to call and make an appointment. Called five times this week. Not one call picked up. Not returned when I left a message, and in order to leave a message you have to listen to a dial tone for 5 minutes. Awful. Pathetic.

A great old post office. See the classic key wound clock in the lobby. APS services available 7 days a week until 9PM. Passports and PO Box services. Staffed by friendly folks. Sadly the USPS moved the mail sorting to Portland and distribution to Capels. We wonder how long it will stay staffed and open. Imagine a city center without a US Post Office!?

Postal employees make great wages and have a great pension when they retire. All us humans on the other side of the counter ask for is politeness. Some interaction. If someone says "thank you" or " have a great day", just acknowledge them. Its called customer service. Only came here once out of convenience. Will stick to the NICE folks at Caples.

Bring reading material or an iPad. The "Forever" stamp takes about that long to buy as the one clerk (very slowly) assists patrons with important decisions like which kind of stamp to buy and the hundreds of obscure regulations concerning international shipments. Truly a study in government waste and inefficiency.

Tried calling the number listed but it just rang and then went to a busy signal. There is no secondary number or voicemail for this location. If you call their 1800 number they only have the number listed. There is NO Customer service for USPS Vancouver . I would give this a lower star rating if I could.

Beware of this post office. Should you encounter Connie, she will curse you out, if she does not agree with your political stand on race relations. I mentioned to my minor son that "the struggle is real", Connie took this personal and told me to "Keep that on my own damn side of the fence.".
