Ive been to this gym for a about a year. Overall, the place is clean... only plus... but I was definitely noticing a plateau when I was maxing out on their machines and dumb bells.(NO BENCH PRESS?!?!) so I had to end my membership. ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- My only negative experience at this Planet Fitness was that I left my clothes, 1 week old shoes/ and gloves in their lockers overnight (yes, I know they are for day use lockers- butI didnt think they would care for 1 night [Sun-Mon]). However, I REALLY didnt expect them to break into my locker and "toss" my new Nikes,my nice Nike dri-fit shirt and Jordan shorts in their "lost" and found/back storage area. Heres the funny thing- they had three boxes of members "junk." I found one of my gloves in one box, and the other in the another box. But guess what? No shirt, shoes, or shorts... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I told the manager about it and his reasoning behind it was that they "just have day lockers" and it was MY fault for leaving my stuff in there- and they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Nice customer service bro. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heres my rebuttal: Yes-my bad for leaving them in there BUT my items wouldnt have been "lost" or stolen have you not broken into the locker in the first place. I mean, I came back the next day. AND if you did break into someones locker-------why not have the common courtesy of putting all the belongings into one bag/box/area? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He (the manager) said that they might have given the items out to charity- but seriously? Im not that naive that you gave 200+ dollars worth of clothing to charity whereas, when he took me to the backroom to "claim" my stuff- there were old sneakers and old shirts. He also mentioned that he would check the cameras to make sure none of his employees or "members" STOLE it from the backroom but how would a gym member steal stuff from a locked area? Im surprised I didnt see HIM wearing my shoes the few months that Ive stayed after this incident. Very nice way to conduct business..... //end rant

This gym sucks. I use to go to the one in anchorage and it was great. First expirence I brought my girlfriend as a guest and was using the massage chair and my gf was in the same room waiting. They came in the room just to tell her she can't use the chair even though she wasn't. Than kept circling around the room just to make sure. My phone is my music and was dying so I plugged it in next to me where I was working out. Same guy came to me to tell me I can't use the outlet. Said so no body would steal it I said I'm not moving till its charged. Than his excuse is its only for employees well I don't see anyone using it at all for cleaning purposes. Yesterday same guy tells me I can't have a gallon of water. I can only have a half gallon of water.because if it spills it's a lot So today I brought in a half gal in a gallon container. Tells me I can't bring that in. I told him well I don't have any money so I can't buy any water. So he told me I can have it in the locker room and every time I need water to go drink it on there. I just walked out. Last time ill ever work out there. There are no scales and they make all these stupid rules to make old and fat people who want to come to a gym and pretend to workout and loose no weight or get in shape. This is more of a social club or a hang out rather than a gym. The rudest gym I've ever delt with. And I use to work at one so I know how to run a gym and how to treat customers

i was a member of this gym for 3 months and it was by far the absolute worst gym i ever went to. i thought the location was convient but it is defiently worth the drive to go anywhere eles. the customer service here is terrible. every time i ask a question or want any help with my workout plan the front desk doesnt know because they "are new". well i know its only been around a few months but hire employees that have worked out before. after a couple of months i decied i didnt want to deal with front desks constant attitude. i attempted to cancel since i was only on a monthly membership.. well for weeks i got a constant run around with one person telling me cancel before the 15th another telling me i was canceling to late, and no one accutaualy telling me when to cancel! all i wanted was to give my required 30 day notice... even though it was suppose to be monthly. if the staff wasnt rude before they were awful now. I cant stand this place and i would NEVER go back. there are other gyms in the area that have better prices and are family owned that i would much rather be apart of. dont let there pushy salesmen trick you I WOULD NEVER JOIN AGAIN....

I enjoyed my work out at Planet Fitness - The number of treadmills is awesome. The only negative comment is Im a guest in the Bellevue area and was charged $20.00 for a one day pass; however the membership is only $10 monthly. Unfortunately Planet Fitness is not in my home town; therefore the option of applying the $20 toward a future membership is not applicable. As a result I felt as Planet Fitness was punishing me because I was a guest by charging me double the amount of a member. This is not the best practice when attracting new members! 24 Hour Fitness, Ballys, Golds etc all offer 1 day passes and a $10.00 daily guest pass. I realize you are not trying to compete with the gyms referenced; however I think it will assist your efforts in attracting new members. If asked, I will recommend the gym; however I will make the clarification is only applicable to existing members as guests are not treated fairly. Will I return - NO. I would prefer to go to 24 hour fitness in which Guests are treated equally as members with the assumption this person could soon become a member.

I got a black card member ship the gym what little I was able to go was great. Now Im problem is, is due to a lack of transportation I decided to cancel my membership, I also thought they had charged my bank twice, so I called to cancel and tell them about the double charge all I was told was to bring in the bank statment to show they double charged me. It turns out they didnt so I left it alone. I recently looked at my account which was negative because of them they charged me again. I call to ask why I was charged when I cancelled in april and they tell me you cant cancel unless you send a letter or come in person and they cant fix that because my accounts still active. I ask to speak to a manager I tell him and he blows it off Im like okay but I dont have that money and havent been active in your gym for almost a year then he proceeds to tell me how he tried to charge me for yearly fees but it didnt go through so Ill have to pay that before I can even cancel, which yearly fees are sent out around June 1st. Im beyond pissed.
